Hope everything goes well today @Pebblespony Thanks

SassehMonsta · 25/09/2018 14:50

4+5 and already got something swelling like going on. Sheeesh. Glad it's getting cooler here as I can now get away with a jumper or cardigan at work.

@dimblebimble so glad the bleeding stopped and hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your holiday xxx

Dimblebimble · 25/09/2018 18:31

Just went to the ultrasound that I had booked before bfp to test for pcos. Told them about the spotting and asked if they could check everything was okay. They showed me the baby, 5 weeks 5 days with a little heart beat :) now feel a little guilty dh wasn't there to see it but very relieved 😌

inkworks273 · 25/09/2018 18:46

Amazing news @Dimblebimble So pleased for you Smile

Russell19 · 25/09/2018 19:10

Hi everyone I'm 6 weeks gone and feeling so anxious. Any tips on trying to stay positive? Just constant worry....

zoClueless · 25/09/2018 19:37

Brilliant news @Dimblebimble !

Today has been a big day of pregnancy stuff for me. Had the booking in appointment this morning. Which was ok, lots of answering boring questions as people on here had warned. Apparently I have very small veins so they blood test was a bit iffy but she got some in the end.

Then, this evening was our early scan at Mothercare! So wonderful. Measured 8+4 and I'm 8+6 on last period date so that was all within normal range. And saw the little heart beating. So comforting to see that something is actually in there. Looking forward to the 12week scan now.

Pebblespony · 25/09/2018 20:38

Hi all. Went for a scan. Saw the yolk sac but no heartbeat. Going back in a week.

Pebblespony · 25/09/2018 20:39

They said it is probably too early.

earlybirdhasanap · 25/09/2018 20:54

@Pebblespony fingers cross for you. How many weeks are you?

earlybirdhasanap · 25/09/2018 20:54

*crossed

Pebblespony · 25/09/2018 21:17

Six. The technician said we should be optimistic for next week.

TooManyBooksTooLittleTime · 25/09/2018 22:21

@pebblespony the waiting at this stage is horrendous, but if you've not had any more bleeding and measurements are good for dates, it all sounds fairly positive. Hope the blood was just baby burrowing in and getting comfy and you see a heartbeat next week.

Pebblespony · 25/09/2018 22:57

Thanks. I must say, I've found all your comments on here really helpful.

Firstbornunicorn · 26/09/2018 03:59

Eventful night. Currently in A&E waiting to be called. Not very gentle triage nurse took my blood and put in a cannula because "you look like you might need fluids". I'll update you all when we get home.

rosettesforjill · 26/09/2018 06:42

Hope you're ok @Firstbornunicorn

@Pebblespony that sounds as positive as it could be x

I woke up in so much pain, I thought it was an ectopic pregnancy. A&E doc agreed with me even though HCG levels were normal and pushed for a scan. Well, guess what! There's a healthy wee baby in there :). Oh, and I have a kidney infection, but I can deal with that.

SurfingOwl · 26/09/2018 07:18

Great news @Firstbornunicorn. I’ve just started antibiotics for similar as well.

@Pebblespony I think that places generally don’t like to scan until 7+ weeks for this exact reason, as even the healthiest of babies can’t be guaranteed to be seen earlier. I hope the next few days pass quickly and you get good news at your next scan.

Rubberduckies · 26/09/2018 07:25

I'm 5+2 today and still just feel queasy. My left boob is bigger and because I'm very pale I can already see bright blue veins over them which I find a but odd....

Away on a course with colleagues at the moment so hoping I can work it a way of skipping a planned drinks evening at the end of the week!

Popsalot15 · 26/09/2018 07:53

@Rubberduckies my top excuse is that o am doing the Body Coach again so no alcohol then October I’ll say I am staying sober all month. Just hope they don’t see me snacking on salty crisps nearly every day!! Lol x

fadgadget · 26/09/2018 09:41

Glad everyone is doing well! Infections aside - at least the beans are ok xxx

Does anyone NOT have particularly sore/enlarged boobs? I’m 8+4 now and while the sickness comes and goes and the tiredness is fairly constant, my boobs aren’t that bothersome. They hurt a bit and feel a bit odd sometimes but I wouldn’t say they’re any bigger, they aren’t that big to begin with though, I’m a B/C cup depending where I shop, should I be bothered?

Firstbornunicorn · 26/09/2018 10:03

@fadgadget not at all! I did have sore boobs at first, but they're fine now. I actually heard that they aren't supposed to get much bigger until the second trimester - I'm sure you'll notice a growth spurt then!

fadgadget · 26/09/2018 10:07

Ok cool, I’ve waited my whole life for boob growth spurt hahaha Grin

zoClueless · 26/09/2018 10:17

@fadgadget I'm also a B and at the start they were quite sore but now (9 weeks today) not too bad. They are a bit fuller now but not gone up a size or anything major like that. As you say, kind of waiting for that to happen as only on the small side!!

MynameisJune · 26/09/2018 10:32

@fadgadet mine never get bigger in pregnancy. I’m a B/C and they just stay the same. On the plus side they’re still as perky as they were before pregnancy and bf’ing.
