I just started crying watching Strictly. Jesus, I'm a mess.
Don't be too hard on yourself earlybird . Take it easy, have a cry. TV in the short-term won't hurt your daughter. Crack out some sandwiches for dinner.

TooManyBooksTooLittleTime · 22/09/2018 19:32

Can I tentatively join? I'm a bit nervous after a mc in March, but hoping dc3 will be arriving around the middle of may (erratic cycles since mc mean I'm also not entirely sure when it might be).

inkworks273 · 22/09/2018 20:01

Welcome @TooManyBooksTooLittleTime Smile

seeingdots · 23/09/2018 09:08

@earlybirdhasanap I know how you feel. At work I seem to be able to cope mainly but at home I'm struggling to do anything that involves moving about and I keep crying because I feel so guilty that I'm not able to engage with DD in the way that she needs. HOWEVER, she's happy enough and seems to be having a leap in verbal skills so I'm trying to focus on the fact that her brain doesn't appear to be dissolving to mush and that I'm doing as much as I can. This too shall pass!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 23/09/2018 09:19

@seeingdots and @earlybirdhasanap I totally understand your worries and frustrations. We should be getting shares in CBeebies the amount it’s been on in the last few weeks... I feel terribly guilty...the upside my cute baby boy has learnt some sign language from Mr Tumble and it’s just the cutest thing ever. We can only do what we can do and peace must be made with that I think otherwise it will be a long 9 month.

@dimblebimble hope you are feeling ok?
Welcome @toomanybookstoolittletime loving your username! Sums up life perfectly Wink

Hope everyone is doing ok today?! I had an unknown airport run at 8 this morning - my DM forgot to ask me and phoned me out of bed at 6am to “remind me.” Had to stop to be sick on side of road but I’m sure that means my good deed for the week is now done. Hey ho, happy Sunday!

rosettesforjill · 23/09/2018 10:49

Oh no @UntilTheVeryEnd! We were up at 6am as well with a three year old soaked in wee but it's par for the course in this house!

Told parents and siblings yesterday which was all good Smile

Is anyone else still feeling totally wiped out? I'm not necessarily feeling sick just ridiculously tired, and sometimes almost hungover.

How's everyone today? xxx

Lizzybeth123 · 23/09/2018 18:31

@dreaminofholidays I feel like I have a constant hangover...... only thing is a hangover normally goes by the end of the day whilst you stuff your face on junk food. This on the other hand doesn't hahaha.... keep telling myself it's a positive sign having such strong sickness ....... managed to shower today which is a huge plus.... haven't left the house in days.... your not alone.... x

I got some sickness wristbands last night and they seem to be helping in the very slightest... but at this stage any little help is a huge plus.
They are called sea bands.... they are helping me so hopefully anyone else with sickness they might just give you that little bit of relief x

Beckyz88 · 23/09/2018 18:54

Hi everyone, I’m new here and first pregnancy. Currently at 5 weeks and 1 day. Not too many symptoms just really sore breasts (since days after ovulation) and some cramping.

Good to see some others who are travelling or travelling for work here. Next week I’m going to the states (10 hour flight :/) for work so hope the nausea doesn’t kick in then...!

Anyone else keeping up their workout routine or slowing it down? I’m staying in swimming but not sure about cross trainer!

Firstbornunicorn · 23/09/2018 18:54

Like some other posters, I'm feeling rough too! I don't actually throw up much, but the nausea is constant and strong. Water is making me feel very 🤢 and I'm constantly knackered with achy joints. It's a bit like having the flu, except at least I can tell myself it'll all be worth it.

Popsalot15 · 23/09/2018 19:39

Congratulations and welcome @beckyz88

I have been trying to keep the workouts up but can’t do anything high intense- Mainly because no matter the bra, my boobs ache so much! Therefore do low impact like walking, some spinning, body step. My appetite is hit and miss so don’t feel like I have lost all of my waistline yet!

I hope the flight goes well- I fly for work although not too far. I also have a holiday booked for January to the Caribbean but heard it’s out of the question for pregnant women so hoping I can change it.

I am 6+5 now xx

frankiefumbles · 23/09/2018 19:55

@Beckyz88 good luck with the flight. I'm guessing you've seen my post that I'm making a similar journey but sadly for me a bit further! I've got the full 20 hour whacker of a flight. Not sure what your plan is but I'm going to start early. On Tuesday I'm getting the cases out (as I always pack for DH) and I'm going to start laying everything out. I'm pretty worried about it if I'm honest but in fact I feel at the moment all my symptoms are nice and manageable. I haven't had sickness, only really mild queasiness in the morning and a bit off my food. So long may that pattern continue. Can I ask where you are headed?

Re workout if I could I would but at the moment all I'm doing is sleeping. I'm swimming - long swim planned next weekend and hopefully some very gentle activity whilst I'm away. I'm entered for a sodding marathon in Oct! Hahaa that's looking unlikely. Listen to your body and see how it goes :)

Beckyz88 · 23/09/2018 20:13

@popsalot15 that’s good! My appetite is already a lot higher, and I think I’ve gained about 2lbs so just going to try to keep working out as much as poss.

My doctor said i should be able to travel up to 7 months so you could be alright unless doc says otherwise?

Beckyz88 · 23/09/2018 20:16

@frankiefumbles 20 hours! Wow, I don’t envy you. But sounds like at least you have your husband with you for support? I’m going to California and as it’s for work I’ll have to put on a brace face if nausea starts as of course no one knows.

OMG a marathon! Good luck. I suck at running, can hardly run for 10 mins before getting tired. 😂

Popsalot15 · 23/09/2018 20:41

@beckyz88 sometimes I’m absolutely ravenous and hangry others just nauseous. I’ve been carrying ginger biscuits in case of those moments!

I can fly but the place I’m goinf to is risky because of the zika infection. If you type in Dominican Republic and pregnancy you just get lots of risks so going to ask the dr at my next appt!

Beckyv88 · 23/09/2018 20:59

@popsalot15 ah I totally forgot about the risk of zika. Yes that’s a shame you might not be able to go, hope you can reschedule or something. I was talking to my husband today about going away next year and he laughed at me - he’s a lot more practical. 🤷‍♀️

frankiefumbles · 23/09/2018 21:26

@Beckyv88 it'll be tougher on your own but I guess at least you can make your own schedule to a degree? If I were you I'd start laying the groundwork now saying you don't always travel well and you get jet lag! My hubby isn't a huge help all in all. It's like taking a child away...I pack his bags, book it, carry the passports...he's got no idea what's going on.

Your flight will be hard enough tbh but if you're feeling down just remind yourself how far I'm going and have a little laugh at how daft I am :D we will still go on short trips in Jan and Feb but then I'll be off duties til after May I reckon. Hopefully be on my feet for a short trip to France over the summer and our usual weekends away in Aug and Sept - business as usual lol! I've already got the babysitter booked for Aug (assuming bean sticks!).

@Popsalot15 the zika thing is awkward. There are a few cases in Hawaii but they are all cases that have been "imported" so they think the mozzie population there is actually clear.

TooManyBooksTooLittleTime · 23/09/2018 21:50

I'm slightly in awe of some of the planned travels you all have ahead, I'm currently debating whether I'm going to make it to Cornwall in a couple of weeks time!

I haven't been sick yet, but lots of retching and I'm sure it's only a matter of time, as I was very sick with both DC.

I have been carrying on as normal with exercise, but I don't really do anything that intense, cycling with the children, lots of walking and swimming. I want to stay as active as possible, but it's hard as I'm so tired!

inkworks273 · 23/09/2018 22:21

I don't actually do any exercise. Terrible, I know! I really should at least start walking.

MysteriousSheep · 24/09/2018 02:02

Hi can I join? Around 6 weeks pregnant with my 2nd (I’ve got an 11yr old too). Tried for 5 years and didn’t fall pregnant - then had some clomid and it worked! Am in total shock but thrilled. Also bag of nerves and convinced everything will go wrong (had a mmc at 12 weeks before my son).
When I was less than 5 weeks I got the 3+ on clear blue, and all my (many!) poas have come back super strong positive. I also, around 5 weeks, got my blood done at work and the hcg was over 18000! Very high.
But I don’t really feel that pregnant, just worried.
Got an antenatal appointment and they will do a viability scan on the 4th October - feels like ages away!
Anyway, sorry to hear all of you lot with nausea and vomiting - hope it eases somewhat for you soon.

frankiefumbles · 24/09/2018 09:26

@TooManyBooksTooLittleTime if I didn't have it planned for so long there's no way I'd be doing it. I'm just hoping I won't feel motion sick on the plane.

I had to do Devon to Guildford last week and I just allowed myself extra time to do the train changes with off peak tickets and in some ways it was more relaxing than usual because I gave myself plenty of time to make the changes and in between times I was just sitting.

@MysteriousSheep welcome! You're going to now be the target of loads of "it must be twins" comments! I'm similar timing to you and hoping for a scan on 4/5 Oct. Sorry to hear about your mmc. I hope for me the scan is the first step towards feeling more confident about this one making it.

MysteriousSheep · 24/09/2018 09:32

Well! I was at work last night and started to have really bad cramps and some bleeding (not heavy). Got briefly admitted to the gynae ward, pain settled with codeine. Had a scan this morning, thoroughly expecting the worst, and actually there was a little 7.3week Singleton there, heart beating away!! So relieved, and also surprised to be a week further ahead than I thought. My hcg had doubled and is now over 29000!
Going to go home and rest and hope for the best. Still pretty tender, so fingers crossed this bean sticks

Pebblespony · 24/09/2018 10:40

I'm 6 weeks today. Just had some bright red spotting at work. I'm very worried.

Thenameisweasley · 24/09/2018 11:03

Joining in with a due date of May 25th! Have a 17 month old at home too. Nice to meet you all Grin

Teladi · 24/09/2018 13:47

Sorry you're having spotting @pebblespony, I'd be up to high doh myself, but when I was having some cramping the other day I was doing a bit of reading, and I think a little red spotting is still "normal". Hope it was a one off and thinking of you.
