@murphyrocks If one more person tells me I'm eating for two I might eat them! I'm like that's so 1950s. We don't get shit now. I'm even hungry at night!

I think it's better to carry on with kids as though they don't have it and only investigate if they start showing any symptoms. It's very hard to live with especially for children and the less you have it the more sensitive it can make you.

I have heard nothing about a 16 week appointment. I'm 14+5.

I'm also desperate for crisps now.

Did your midwife not book it last time you saw them @gronk27?
That's what mine did this time and last time.

Also had to eat Crisps earlier, without guilt :D

@Gronk27 I've not got a 16 weeks appointment either. At my 12 week scan they advised me to call my doctors up to make the 16 week appointment myself

Maybe we should start discussing healthy food? Broccoli, carrot sticks, melon anyway? Better than crisps!

They booked in my 16 week appointment at my booking in, though I’ll only be 15 weeks then - does anyone know if that matters?

Is the 16 week not with the midwife? I don't think I can do it through my doctor. It's all very random. I got my scan and two other random appointments through on my app for December. No idea what they're for. The scan letter then rocked up. I might ring the midwife.

Do you have to organise your own flu jab?

@wordsmithereens @MisBit1 @BadBadBeans @Angelmiracle @Wineandchoccy thank you- so good to hear your opinions, I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling that way and I never thought of it as spreading out the excitement- that's a good way of thinking about it. I'll talk to DP and I think I may well find out beforehand- seems a bit less overwhelming (baby was a bit of a surprise as is!).

@Gronk27 yes it’s with the midwife. If you look in your notes there should be a list of all the timings when you see the midwife depending on 1st baby or not it might give you an idea on what the spots are for.

Flu jab my midwife told me to book it after I was 16 weeks but I also got a text reminder to arrange it ASAP.

@Gronk27 I have to arrange 16 week appointment through GP surgery. Community midwife is there every Monday. I guess everywhere is different.

We found out this evening that we are having a girl!

Around W6 (when I was just getting the really bad morning sickness but hadn't learned the rules yet) suddenly got my appetite back I ate an entire 6 pack of walkers ready salted in quick succession- thinking I may as well seize the opportunity. Of course I then spent the next few hours chucking them back up.

I've stuck to wotsits since then 😅 so I can't say I'm sharing your cravings for crisps guys!

If it makes anyone feel better about their eating habits my dinner tonight consisted of a leftover portion of apple and blackberry crumble with cream. I have been trying to eat healthily and the rest of today has been OK but the crumble was leftover from yesterday and I couldn't resist!

With regards to 16 week midwife appointments, I had to book mine through my GP surgery and did so at around 13 weeks. It all feels a bit random at times, I've had a consultant review appointment inserted into my maternity notes that must have been added at my last scan but nobody actually told me about it so it's a good job I looked! If in doubt I would say call your GP surgery and they may at least be able to point you in the right direction even if they're not able to book you in.

@cardboard33 they have no powers to dictate how you take baby home from hospital so don't stress.

My third Labour was shorter than first but longer than second, was most awkward delivery as well

Scans look so cute, congratulations everyone. Still deciding if we want to know the gender yet!

@toastfiend now I want crumble!! @gronk27 well done - that sounds excellent. I have tried to eat more fruit and veg but too much is still associated with vomiting... I can’t wait for this stage to be over - threw up twice this am before leaving the house!

I don’t remember the other twins either?

Yes pushit is also expecting twins - she's still relatively active on the Facebook group last heard from her a couple of days ago. EDD 25/2.
