@ashley I had this with DS- they called it a subchorionic haematoma (usually where the baby starts burrowing into the womb lining) then which sounded a bit scary, and warned me that although my body might reabsorb the blood, I might had a small bleed but DON'T PANIC. I had a bleed a couple of days later that I certainly would not have characterised as small Shock, bright red, but all was fine and DS is currently running around trying to pedal tractors at our local soft play 😊 tbh it's nice to have the warning that you may bleed and it's not a problem!

ashley992 · 24/08/2018 14:46

@monkerina Thank you! I have read that it can be absorbed by the body or just pass but at least I know not to panic too much if it does come out!

Mumof4andahalf · 24/08/2018 17:01

Hi all, my first post on here, I’m 5 weeks today with baby number 5, due 24 April
Feeling ok apart from awful ligament pain and backache, I thought I had a uti....anyone else experienced this?

Lisaloo15 · 24/08/2018 17:09

How do I join the Facebook group? I have no idea how to PM lol, using app

AmyRhodes · 24/08/2018 17:09

I've just had a small (post-exercise) bleed. Have had no cramping and it appears to be a one off but it's enough to push my anxiety to fever pitch.

I've spent the whole first 7 weeks genuinely feeling like the odds of actually carrying this baby through are 50/50.

COME ON SCAN TIME!!!!

Growingahuman · 24/08/2018 17:11

Hi again ladies!! So sorry to everyone who’s suffered losses... been there and it’s just heartbreaking 🙁

Very early but I’m already thinking about giving birth 😳 I’ve had 2 c sections and I’m already dreading the recovery. Not sure if a vba2c would be even possible but I’m definitely going to look into it. Anyone else in a similar position??...

Growingahuman · 24/08/2018 17:13

@AmyRhodes Try not to stress, lots of people (myself included) have had bleeds and gone on to have healthy babies. Contact your local EPU if it will help ease your mind though xx

AmyRhodes · 24/08/2018 17:15

@Growingahuman Thanks. I've called them last week when I had an even smaller bleed. I'm sure they'd tell me the same thing - just to keep an eye on it. I'll call if I have another close to this one.

organised5 · 24/08/2018 17:28

@Lisaloo15 I just need your email address to add you to the Facebook group. I don't think you can PM on the app unfortunately!

Treaclepie19 · 24/08/2018 18:03

@Mumof4andahalf i get it.
Last pregnancy I was constantly at the doctors with a suspected UTI. They eventually just put it down to bladder pressure, irritation and ligament pain.

WhereistheWit · 24/08/2018 18:05

@growingahuman I’ve had 2 sections as well and thought about Vbac as well today. I don’t know why as my 2nd section was elective. I guess I’m concerned about how my body will cope with a 3rd operation.

But then I feel like I’ve convinced myself I can’t birth naturally anyway as I’d now be very high risk and probably strapped up and would never get the chance of a nice calm, mobile, water birth which would be what I’d want if no C sec

Mumof4andahalf · 24/08/2018 18:07

@treaclepie19 it’s awful isn’t it? I wondered if my age factored in it (41)? As long as it’s not twins 🤣🤣

Treaclepie19 · 24/08/2018 18:09

@Mumof4andahalf I was 25 when pregnant with my son so I think it's just one of those things!
Haha, my husband keeps joking that we will have twins.

Mumof4andahalf · 24/08/2018 18:11

@treaclepie19 I’ve barely got room for 1 more let alone 2 🤷‍♀️

Growingahuman · 24/08/2018 18:58

@WhereistheWit my second was elective too and the thought of having a vbac terrified me!! I’ll talk to the mw and find out my options. I didnt heal well with my 1st so maybe a higher chance of rupturing? A labour stuck to the bed hooked up to monitors doesn’t really appeal to me either xx

cookielove · 24/08/2018 19:29

Had my Dr appointment today it was pretty much unnecessary but hey no it's done now. I have self referred to my local hospital and now the wait is on to hear back!

Lisaloo15 · 24/08/2018 19:57

@organised5 my email is [email protected] I will just delete this after added

Mejse · 24/08/2018 20:39

@Growingahuman and @WhereistheWit can I ask about what made you go for an elective the second time? And how it was?

I had an emergency csection with my first and I don't know what to do this time. They said after that I should be able to have a vbac the next time, the trouble was just his position and size. I would really like to have a vbac this time round but the thought of ending up with another 22hour labour followed by a csection is scaring me. I think if it got to the point of inducing me again I would opt for an elective instead

littleemma1 · 24/08/2018 21:00

Hi ladies. Struggling to keep up with this thread!!
I’ve hit 5 weeks today and I’m off to Amsterdam tomorrow with my friend and leaving the husband behind 😱 we’ve had it planned for months and although I’m looking forward to it I’m slightly nervous about travelling because of nausea but I’m just going to try and enjoy it (while I can!!) xx

WhereistheWit · 24/08/2018 21:22

@mejse There was a few reasons I ended up with an emergency, really high birth weight (no GD just big babies), induction due to pre eclampsia and just no progression after a horrendously painful and long labour.

The thought of going through all that again just terrified me. All that without even getting to the pushing part and my DS1 was 11lb! The consultant really pushed me for vbac but in the end the decider for me was the fact I’d have to be so heavily monitored I wouldn’t be able to birth in the most natural way, that coupled with fear of high birthweight (confirmed DS2 was 11lb as well) made me know I wanted an elective.

The experience of elective was amazing, so much calmer than last time. I was able to have delayed cord clamping and bf straight away whereas the first time I was so out of it they have DS1 formula as his first feed, we still breastfed for 2 years but it really upset me. I also recover quite quickly for CS, im usually up and about walking a few days out of the hospital. So I have no regrets in my decision, but doing it a 3rd time is worrying!

organised5 · 24/08/2018 21:31

@Lisaloo15 I've added you - make sure you check your junk folder as some of the girls said the invite went there.

IMissMargaritas · 24/08/2018 22:46

Hey @organised5! Could you add me too? [email protected]. If you could let me know when the invite is sent and I'll also delete this post :)

organised5 · 25/08/2018 06:25

@IMissMargaritas done Grin

Dani7 · 25/08/2018 09:26

@littleemma1 Hi! I’m currently in Tenerife and was really worried about the sickness and travelling. I’ve tried to be really good staying hydrated, wore those travel sickness bands (I have no idea if they work but I wasn’t sick!) and a pack of ginger biscuits at the ready! I’ve noticed that my sickness tends to start if I haven’t ate for a while so have been having small snacks. Most importantly though, enjoy your time away! X

jess21690 · 25/08/2018 13:22

Oh my goodness the sickness has hit today! Last few weeks I've just had the occasional wave when I've been hungry, but it's been constant since I woke up today. Haven't actually been sick, just feel like I could be all the time. It's like an awful hangover without the delicious wine the night before!
