Not sure about you all but I'm definitely feeling a lot better now at 14 weeks. Let's hope it lasts!! As you were.....

Is anyone suffering with really strange dreams?

Last night was one of the most awful dreams I've ever had and I can't shift that feeling of remembering it today :/

powkin · 16/08/2018 06:57

Happy Birthday to me... so far the only present I have is a horrible case of thrush that woke me up on my lovely day off at 5.50am! Two lots of antibiotics have taken their toll. I was far too uncomfortable to go back to sleep and now too hungry so now I’m wide awake and tired and hungry!

Scan today, let’s hope it’s good news after all this!

DragonFlew · 16/08/2018 06:59

@powkin happy birthday! Hope your scan goes well!

Baby160P · 16/08/2018 07:00

I'm 13 weeks today and although started off a bigger lady (size 16) I didn't really have a tummy as such but it's very much rounded now.

powkin · 16/08/2018 07:04

Thank you @DragonFlew - had a nice day yesterday and still have cards and pressies to open so just having a grouch! Hope the scan is the best gift.

clairehr · 16/08/2018 07:17

@Alicejj8x Yes, had the worst night's sleep ever last night, and the worst nightmare was about the nurses in the hospital where I'm giving birth (totally unwarranted!).

@powkin Happy birthday, and good luck for scan, the day can only get better right?

powkin · 16/08/2018 07:37

@clairehr I really hope so. My birthdays have a habit of being incredibly shit so I’m hoping this is the one that turns this around rather than one of the worst.

emalady · 16/08/2018 08:05

@alicejj8x my nightmares seem to be reducing and instead having very vivid dreams somewhere between wierd and mundane. Eg. I dreamt my husband wanted house Guinea pigs and was deciding where to put them while I wore the cat in a baby sling. Get a load of that Freud!

Alicejj8x · 16/08/2018 08:10

@clairehr
Oh noo really :( I've been having trouble getting to sleep lately then been waking up early but last nights dream was something else :(

AliceRR · 16/08/2018 08:11

@powkin happy birthday and good luck for today!

Alicejj8x · 16/08/2018 08:11

@emalady
Ahaha I bet you was like what is going on here.

I just can't shift this feeling of the dream it's horrible it's like everywhere I turn I can see the dream :(

Alicejj8x · 16/08/2018 08:11

@powkin
Happy birthday and good luck today xx

FrowningFlamingo · 16/08/2018 08:27

I had a really vivid dream last night too though can't remember what it was about. It must be a full moon or something!

hayley013 · 16/08/2018 10:06

I've been having crazy dreams, they seem to be calming down now but instead I can't get to sleep, was 1:30 last night then up with dd at 7, so tired today x

Baby160P · 16/08/2018 10:06

I have really useful dreams like we needed change for the parking at the hospital and I'm my dream I remembers where some was from cleaning our old car out 😂 strange

Baby160P · 16/08/2018 10:08

By the way NEW LOOK have a maternity sale. Just got so much stuff for under £50!!

Does anyone else have a bitter taste in their mouth a lot of the time? I feel like I need to eat something sweet to take it away but it results in a lot of sweets

Since2016 · 16/08/2018 10:50

Am having messed up dreams. And I’ve had to stop watching the handmaids tale because I’m literally sobbing through each episode. I was so upset the other night I was crying in bed!

Since2016 · 16/08/2018 11:00

Oh and happy birthday @powkin and good luck!!

powkin · 16/08/2018 11:04

@AliceRR I think it’s pretty common but can be a sign of a nutrient deficiency. I found this article on hormones and body changes really informative and helpful!

I have been watching both February and March for the last month as I wasn't too sure when my due date would be. However after having my scan yesterday I feel like I can join this one.

I have a due date of 25th Feb and this will be my 2nd dc. Dc1 is only just 13 months so I'm going to have 2 under 2 and it feels a bit daunting now it seems real. 'Morning' sickness seems to have ramped up in the last few days from feeling nauseous all the time to being ill multiple times a day.

MakeLemonade · 16/08/2018 13:23

Just checking in, been a busy couple of days and I’ve missed 122 messages - such a chatty bunch!

Is the Facebook group this chatty too? I think I might be ready to join soon.

emalady · 16/08/2018 13:48

@powkin Happy birthday, hope it gets better!!!

@baby160p Ooh that looks good. I kinda need some more underwear and work tops.

I've managed to do a bit of walking recently and can't work out if I feel better or worse for it!!

powkin · 16/08/2018 14:06

Everything is OK! Date moved forward to 12+6 so 22nd Feb!

DragonFlew · 16/08/2018 14:06

@Effy1990 I had my scan yesterday too! And we have the same due date! This is my DC3 however my first two were really close in age and it is surprising how well us mums cope! Baby will just slot into your routine so try not to worry!
I am lucky on the sickness front, that seems to have finally gone for the last week, so now I'm trying to eat more healthy rather than just anything I want to stop the nausea 😂
