New thread ladies after the last one only lasted 2 weeks Grin
Not sure about you all but I'm definitely feeling a lot better now at 14 weeks. Let's hope it lasts!! As you were.....

Ok Since2016 you need to tell me who you were/are! If we're thinking about the same girl she used to really grate on me Wink there were some lovely people on there and I'm still FB friends with a fair few now but only one or two who are still on the group. Sorry about your TTC struggles.

I also left because I found myself on FB way too much generally, so I did partly leave because of that, but I did find the constant bragging difficult. Some people saying things like oh my baby is saying dada in context at 8 months Hmm yeah ok. My DS said dada at 8 months too but like all 8 month olds he was copying/babbling not addressing his dad.

In fairness I do think some bragging comes from a place of insecurity. I had a friend who bragged about her baby a lot but I know she had lots of issues about how he had been born so always cut her some slack.

I really want to do a hynobirthing course this time but there aren't any local to me, so I'm looking for a good online one.

I'm so achey and tired at 15+2, the nausea still comes around evening time but not half as bad and definitely easing off overall, but the tiredness is not budging, think I have sciatic pain at the top of my bum, that's the best way to describe where the pain is 😂 really hurts to put weight on that leg and doesn't feel great in bed lying down, so not sleeping very good. The joys.

Not sure who mentioned about bump changing shape but mine does, some days bigger and smaller than others, but it always seems to slowly get a bit bigger with a few days difference xx

Koalatom1 · 27/08/2018 18:40

If anyone wants to be added to the fbgroup then send me a pm 🙂

I’m trying to stick to my plan of going swimming once a week, but it seems to come round quickly and then I manage to talk myself out of it 🤣 I’m terrible...

Yakadee · 27/08/2018 18:44

@Koalatom1 - I for some reason don't have the option to pm you? I'd like to join though. What's the group and I could request to be added if easier? X

Since2016 · 27/08/2018 19:13

Haha I’ll message you! I worked out who you were a while ago! When you said you were on the Jan group and when your DS was born and where you lived I realised! I think you’re right re insecurities - esp first time round!

Defintely re the spending too much time on Facebook. I ended up having to zone out with the bragging in RL and on FB - DD wasn’t crawling till 10 months and didn’t walk till 18! The group was lovely for the most part though.

Lookingforadvice123 · 27/08/2018 19:16

How funny Since2016 DS was identical, crawled 10 months and walked at 18. He was stringing words together before he walked Hmm I can't think who you are as I'm trying to remember the later walkers on the group! I have one theory but let's see if I'm right - message me!

Fiep · 27/08/2018 19:20

I signed up for NCT as I'm new to my area and it's my first - I would really like to get to know some people, although don't really like the idea of baby braggers tbh!

Since2016 · 27/08/2018 19:22

Same @lookingforadvice123 I was worried about it but she’s always been more cautious physically - talking etc no issue!

Haha I’ve messaged you. Wonder if you were right!

Baby160P · 27/08/2018 19:23

I meant private as in ones you pay for hit the nhs nct you can do.

Maybe I'm being over sensitive 🙈

Since2016 · 27/08/2018 19:24

Ps @looking I’ve only just seen your message from July!!!

Baby160P · 27/08/2018 19:25

@Fiep I'm the same, most of my friends had children young or aren't having any yet so it would be nice but at the same time I have no Patience for baby/bump braggers

MakeLemonade · 27/08/2018 19:27

I’ve purhased all of the bump bands from JoJo today (I don’t work for them, honest, just my nearest/only maternity shop). It’s already making such a difference to my hips and I’ve got a bump band for night time too that seems to have memory foam in the side panels 😍

I’ve heard great things about thepositivebirthcompany.co.uk/ as an online hypnobirthing option @hayley013.

FrowningFlamingo · 27/08/2018 19:29

Do you have an option to PM me @yakadee ? I can add you if you can.
I've added to two others who asked me today/yesterday so shout if you haven't received it.

Whoever was asking about ice cream, the mr whippy is definitely pasteurised in the U.K. I think the concern is if the lines in the machine aren't cleaned they can harbour bacteria. McFlurries are ok as MacDonald's clean them through every night. I think ice cream vans might be a little less reliable for this which is where the worry comes from. I guess you could always ask them if you're not sure :/

FrowningFlamingo · 27/08/2018 19:30

@makelemonade i don't understand bump bands at all, what are they for?

FrowningFlamingo · 27/08/2018 19:31

I've looked at the NCT classes near me but I'm right in between two areas, neither of which are especially close to me to be honest. The slightly closer one to me is in a really rough area and DH says he doesn't want me to go there. I can't decide if he's being a snob and overreacting or if he has a point!

MakeLemonade · 27/08/2018 19:35

It’s for supporting hips and bump, all the extra relaxin pumping around pushes parts of your pelvis apart more than usual and it can cause aches, pains and numbness. It’s usually called SPD (Symphis pubis dis-something) or PGP (Pelvic girdle pain).

I had SPD in a previous pregnancy so more likely to happen again so I’ve started wearing a support belt quite early as already getting twinges - especially overnight when I’m in one position. Some people don’t get any pain at all! I didn’t have any in my other pregnancy.

FrowningFlamingo · 27/08/2018 19:45

I had got the impression they were some kind of maternity clothing to help you keep wearing your pre pregnancy clothes. Clearly had totally the wrong end of the stick Grin

DragonFlew · 27/08/2018 19:54

@Alicejj8x I am so achey today. I'm wondering if it's because I did 8 hours on my feet at work today. The last half hour I was really shaky and hot and felt faint.
Now I'm home my lower back really hurts, I'm in agony! Same pully crampy pains in abdomen as usual. Hoping I will be alright after a good nights sleep!

Picklesandpies · 27/08/2018 19:54

Bump feeling especially huge today - literally seems to be getting bigger every day at the moment (which of course it is!)

This is no3 so I suppose it's to be expected but is anyone else as big as this? 17 weeks on Wednesday. Confused

Picklesandpies · 27/08/2018 19:55

And the photo - doh.

MakeLemonade · 27/08/2018 20:08

There are bump bands that do that too! They cover the gap between trousers and tops. You can get the button gadgets that keep your jeans working a bit longer, they are genius!

MrsY87 · 27/08/2018 20:09

Did anyone have an episiotomy in their previous birth? Since mine healed I haven't had any problems with it but this weekend it's felt really achey just around where my episiotomy was, has anyone else had similar?

MakeLemonade · 27/08/2018 20:10

Like this... carriwell.com/organic/flexi-belt.asp

It’s amazing how much money I’ve spent on pregnancy crap given it’s my third!

maxiflump1 · 27/08/2018 20:18

@Picklesandpies I hear you! I'm 16+3 and feel huge! People keep asking if I'm 6 months plus Confused It's my second too and so much bigger this time. I had distended stomach muscles with Ds so think they've just given up this time!!!
