@AutumnLee12 welcome. My original due date was also the 14th and I thought it would be nice to have a valentines baby - a perfect excuse not to celebrate Valentine’s Day itself but for it to definitely be s day full of love and celebration.

AutumnLee12 · 25/08/2018 16:06

Thanks @clairehr I'm feeling nervous but excited! I'm a lot better now I'm not so tired and the nausea has calmed down although I'm taking each day as it comes!

@Surprisedmom oh that's quite lovely I never thought of it like that! I just thought it's unfair for the little one to share a birthday with valentines and they may never have a valentine but that's me overthinking as usual haha!

Yellow100 · 26/08/2018 08:36

Hello, I've been a bit quiet on here lately. 37, 1st baby, n. Yorks, EDD 8th feb.

Am 16 weeks now. Has anyone else booked in a private 16 week scan? All fine with 12 week but am pretty anxious again and want reassurance. Scan is on weds. Finding out gender too but tbh main desire is reassurance. Bump still small (except when bloated!) and can't feel anything yet. Just want to know everything's OK. Have PCOS and feeling guilty about the amount of sugar I have been consuming! Also - has anyone else been getting headaches? I'm seeing midwife on weds so will speak to her about it. Thanks Smile

Baby160P · 26/08/2018 09:13

@Yellow100 I feel exactly the same. They listen to the heart beat at the 16 week check but I have a anterior placenta so worried they won't then I'll panic. I've warned OH that I'll be wanting a private scan if they don't find it.

I have headaches a fair bit.

No reason to be worried, no bleeding etc and shouldn't feel movement this early on.

It's just reassurance.

If we had a private scan I wouldn't find the gender as our 20 week scan falls on OH birthday so I think it'll be a nice birthday treat.

Yellow100 · 26/08/2018 10:33

Thank you @Baby160P means a lot that I'm not on my own with anxieties. Gender reveal sounds like a lovely treat for partner's birthday Smile

clairehr · 26/08/2018 10:34

Looking for recommendations for maternity christening attire. It's not until beginning of October, so I'll be around 22 weeks. Assuming I'll have a fairly sizeable bump by then going by the way I've already popped, but I don't want to look like a whale 🙈

Heavystream · 26/08/2018 11:26

Hi all, I’d love to join if that’s okay!. I’m due on the 27th with my fourth DC.

Yakadee · 26/08/2018 13:39

Welcome to all the new comers!

I'm 17 weeks today, yay! Feel like the 20 week scan is getting a tiny bit closer!

Hope everyone is OK today xx

jeanzbeanz · 26/08/2018 13:57

@clairehr have you looked at Seraphine? I attend church regularly and would like a few nice dresses to wear, and that's one website which caught my eye.

I'm a photographer (mainly just for my own pleasure, but occasionally I take on paid work) and have agreed to shoot a wedding in three weeks time. Really hoping I'll have more energy by then!

AliceRR · 26/08/2018 16:33

I am 16 week’s today... Have another cold, which is annoying, but pretty sure I could feel baby moving last night. It was like a fluttery but also popping sort of feeling quite low down. It was nice and hoping for more of that soon!

clairehr · 26/08/2018 16:55

@jeanzbeanz Oh, Thank you! Will definitely look at Seraphine.

Alicejj8x · 26/08/2018 17:37

@Yellow100
Yes to the headaches. Last week they were awful
But luckily they have settled down now

Since2016 · 26/08/2018 19:35

@clairehr or Isabella Oliver. I have maternity dresses from both - lovely quality and v flattering. Also not too short!

Entering my 16th week. It’s defintely speeding up now that the worry has eased. Concerned about weight gain though I feel like I’m enormous 😩 darent get on the scales.

Lulabell1 · 26/08/2018 19:43

@yellow100 was having a conversation with my sister in laws sister shes a midwife. Some people dont show until 25+ weeks depends on position of baby and many other factors. Movements the same depends on position of placenta and baby iv been lucky enough to feel few little movements this last week and when i went for my private scan yesterday they said look at him moving you may have felt things as he is very far forward on your left and thats exactly the place i felt it.

Alicejj8x · 26/08/2018 20:11

Can you eat ice cream from
The ice cream van

Baby160P · 26/08/2018 20:14

Is anyone else still tired a lot?

Worried about Gestational diabetes but it doesn't usually happen this early I believe.

I went to sleep about 11pm, woke 7:30am
Went into town had a browse around mothercare then did our big food shop. Got home and 6:30pm and I couldn't stay awake at all. Just woken up but could happily go to bed right now 😴

hayley013 · 26/08/2018 20:26

@Baby160P I'm with you on the tiredness, I'm 15w and all the other nasty symptoms seemed to have eased off but I'm just exhausted all the time once it hits around 3pm, could literally sit and fall asleep instantly xx

Lookingforadvice123 · 26/08/2018 20:31

Alicejj8x not Mr Whippy apparently.

Baby160p totally normal to still feel tired. I'm 14+4 and still nauseous in the evenings but the tiredness is actually more noticeable now! I think it was the same with DS, the nausea was replaced with tiredness with him. I'm sleeping well over 8 hours each night too, probably longer!

Baby160P · 26/08/2018 20:53

@hayley013 @Lookingforadvice123

Thank you I'm glad I'm not alone. I'm 14+4 too and if I don't sleep I cry. It's like I'm channelling my inner baby 🙈😂
