New thread ladies after the last one only lasted 2 weeks Grin
Not sure about you all but I'm definitely feeling a lot better now at 14 weeks. Let's hope it lasts!! As you were.....

That sounds awful @Notquiteagandt! Fingers crossed for a sudden change or better working meds.

@jeanzbeanz we aren't planning to find out. Smile

AliceRR · 23/08/2018 12:32

@DragonFlew yes that occurred to me but not sure

clairehr · 23/08/2018 12:33

@jeanzbeanz I'm team yellow 😊 other half is going to tell me at the birth, so excited!

MakeLemonade · 23/08/2018 12:56

@AliceRR I only stopped having spotting in the last few days after having it for about 2/3 weeks and nobody was concerned unless it was high volume, bright red and accompanied by cramping. Had a couple of scans at EPU and all was fine. I’d probably watch and wait, give your midwife a call if you have more and she can hopefully reassure you.

AliceRR · 23/08/2018 12:59

@MakeLemonade Thanks. It was red but literally one swipe with normal discharge (sorry tmi again!) but I hope that’s it. Might call doc or MW anyway as it’s worrying but I realise people have spotting throughout

MakeLemonade · 23/08/2018 13:43

@AliceRR it is such a worry, I never got used to it and still feel apprehensive every time I go to loo!

I have tried to take comfort in the midwives complete lack of interest and concern Grin

AliceRR · 23/08/2018 13:50

I just called midwife team and spoke to someone. She was very pleasant but when I explained just said “we don’t have any concern about bleeding on wiping”

jeanzbeanz · 23/08/2018 13:51

@Notquiteagandt you do so well to stay so positive. Hope you start to feel stronger soon. Surely the end must be in view now?!

Seems like there are a few of us who aren't planning on finding out gender. My husband is also going to be the one to tell me at the birth (if all goes to plan!). A tiny bit of me would like to find out now just so I can buy some cute outfits and wallpaper the baby room in something non-neutral, but the other 99% of me is excited to leave it til baby is safely here!

AliceRR · 23/08/2018 13:51

And I have read online that it is not that unusual for this to happen after a bowel movement esp of constipated etc

What is it about pregnancy that has us discussing bowel movements and urine and vaginal discharge with barely a second thought?! 🙈

Fredthespider · 23/08/2018 14:49

I've had the same @AliceRR - and I agree, all of a sudden it all seems very normal to chat openly about it all!

Lulabell1 · 23/08/2018 15:07

I just couldn’t wait to find out im far too excited i like to buy colours and if its a girl dressesv and bows! I had all the traditional clothing for my daughter when she was born i love that style very hard to find it in unisex. Also want the butterscotch icandy if its a girl wont be able to get it if its a boy so will get the olive. Im too planned out Grin

Yakadee · 23/08/2018 15:10

We're going to find out this time, we didn't with my son. It was lovely not finding out and the surprise of my lovely boy. I have tonnes of boys stuff saved in the attic so would like to find out this time so we know what we can keep.

Now I've put my mind to it I'm really excited to find out x

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/08/2018 16:08

Finally got my combined screening results, phew! 1 in over 19000 for Down's syndrome and 1 in 100000 for the other two syndromes so super happy with that!

Now if I only I still didn't feel ill Sad

twiglet · 23/08/2018 16:09

We are finding out got our scan booked for a week on Sunday as its against our NHS trusts policy to tell you.

I'm not good with surprises and choosing a name is such a minefield so reducing by half will be helpful.

DragonFlew · 23/08/2018 16:16

@Lookingforadvice123 I got mine too, 1 in 4500 for DS and the other 2 were 1 in 595 - which seems high doesn't it?!

Seems strange because I thought the other 2 were rarer than DS

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/08/2018 16:18

dragonflew that is strange as they are definitely rarer. It's still low though, maybe just check with them it's not a typo?! They could've left a "0" off!

AliceRR · 23/08/2018 16:27

@DragonFlew the screening test figures are a mystery to me but seems like low risk 👍

AliceRR · 23/08/2018 17:01

I’m thinking of going to my first pregnancy yoga class tomorrow. Anyone else started classes?

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/08/2018 17:35

AliceRR I've got my first group personal training session tonight (I've known the woman who runs it since I was pregnant last time as she runs pre/post natal etc classes) but I feel sooooo sick. It's so tempting to cancel, I just hope I'm not actually sick!

AliceRR · 23/08/2018 18:00

@Lookingforadvice123 I feel tired and thinking “shall I start next week?”! but just need to go. I find it hard to get back into exercise when I have been out of it. Good luck!

Alicejj8x · 23/08/2018 18:21

14 weeks today and have just popped out a bump over night haha

Also with regards to the linea nigra when does this start to develop?

jeanzbeanz · 23/08/2018 18:51

I'm 16+3 and also feel like my bump popped out overnight!

Also... don't want to speak too soon, but today I haven't really felt sick yet 😊 it would be amazing if this is the end of my nausea and not just a one off! First time I've felt something like normal for three months.

DragonFlew · 23/08/2018 19:07

@Alicejj8x the linea negra doesn't always appear for everyone. I've never had it in my previous 2 pregnancies!

Fredthespider · 23/08/2018 19:16

I've found a yoga class that I want to join on Monday evenings, it's not running on Monday as it's a bank holiday so I plan to go the Monday after, however it's my busy period at work so I think I might end up making excuses (plus I'm away the Monday after)... see, already talking myself out of it!!

AliceRR · 23/08/2018 19:25

@Fredthespider Try to take some time for yourself to try it if you can for that one night per week! That’s my plan although I’d also need to leave work pretty promptly to do the Friday one. It’s supposed to be really good for pregnancy related pain, helps with childbirth etc.
