New thread ladies after the last one only lasted 2 weeks Grin
Not sure about you all but I'm definitely feeling a lot better now at 14 weeks. Let's hope it lasts!! As you were.....

@maxiflump that’s great news! So relieved for you as I know some ppl have had a battle on their hands which makes it all so stressful!

emalady · 20/08/2018 11:41

@maxiflump thanks for mentioning your injections, I completely forgot my Aspirin yesterday and had forgotten it this morning and that just reminded me!! Glad you got on ok.

I'm definitely happy to go in planning a vaginal delivery as this is DC1 but I'm slightly jealous of the planning with an elective section. Must be much easier for planning maternity and paternity leave if you know dates in advance rather than having to wait and see. I never really accepted how much of a control freak I am but TTC and pregnancy have definitely pointed this out to me!

Yakadee · 20/08/2018 11:42

@maxiflump1 - I had an episiotomy so different however it was a bad one and I needed a tonne of stitches and physio etc so still think I have a valid reason (not to mention the blood loss, infection and long recovery). It was an induction and lead to forceps x

Fredthespider · 20/08/2018 11:44

@Alicejj8x yep, nice and hairy now!

@maxiflump so glad it went well, also nice to be able to plan for the exact date and not just have to wait for it to happen.

Yakadee · 20/08/2018 11:46

@Alicejj8x - yes! It's so random lol x

AliceRR · 20/08/2018 11:51

I haven’t got a hairy belly but I am generally more hairy, especially on my legs and underarms (having to shave more often), and on my chin!! 🙈

Since2016 · 20/08/2018 11:54

Oh that’s brilliant @maxiflump1 glad it went well! It’s a massive relief isn’t it?

@emalady I was birth centre and vaginal birth all the way with DD1 but it just didn’t work out that way in the end. Because of everything that happened and how ill she was afterwards I just wouldn’t put myself through it again. Although a c-section with a toddler isn’t going to be a picnic! Planning wise it makes it slightly easier but you just have to put people on ‘notice’ re Maternity and paternity leave!

Since2016 · 20/08/2018 11:54

Oh but the control freak in me is also delighted. Plus I was SO uncomfortable by the end I was desperate to give birth!

MakeLemonade · 20/08/2018 12:36

I had failure to progress after a really long induction (started the Wednesday, had her on the Sunday) leading to EMCS. I did have to fight for ELCS last time as they were very keen to push me towards a VBAC. I think this time I won’t have a problem though, as far as I know they don’t like to encourage a natural delivery after two previous CS, they do make everyone have a birth choices/reflections session with a mental health midwife still I think.

Alicejj8x · 20/08/2018 12:51

@Notquiteagandt
Ahh yes I've got that dark line pigment going down my belly but like hairy line ahahha lol

What is going on 😂😂

Alicejj8x · 20/08/2018 12:51

@Fredthespider @Yakadee

I am so glad I'm not the only one lol! What's going on!!

craftymum01 · 20/08/2018 14:01

Ergh what a day! Had a call to come and collect DS from nursery as he had been stung under his eye and it was all swollen. Turned up and it looked like he had been punched in the face! Had to wait and hour in the dr with him looking like I had beaten him up.

I did remember to ask the dr if I could swap my soluble aspirin for tablets as I couldn't stand the soluble ones though! Always a silver lining

Yakadee · 20/08/2018 14:25

Poor little thing! Hope he's OK soon x

jeanzbeanz · 20/08/2018 14:48

I'm 16 wks today and if I don't stop feeling sick soon I'm going to go mental. I am absolutely paranoid that I'm going to be one of these women who is sick for the whole 40 weeks 😭

alicejones1995 · 20/08/2018 14:49

Hi everyone!

Completely new to this site - i'm 16 weeks this week with my first baby.

How is everyone else feeling at 16 weeks?

craftymum01 · 20/08/2018 14:57

Thanks @Yakadee it looks worse than it is, but it was such a shock to see it that bad. He could barely open his eye. He is currently eating beans with his fingers so back to normal lol

Welcome @alicejones1995 I am 15 weeks and apart from feeling fat and unable to sleep I don't feel pregnant at all! How are you getting on?

Baby160P · 20/08/2018 14:58

@Alicejj8x I'm glad I'm not the only one with multiple apps!

Work have been fantastic about the baby after all of my anxiety. I've been off work since the car accident too and the whip lash pain is the most pain I've ever felt (until February I'm sure 😂)

I popped in for a few hours today and the kids I nanny were pretty much in tears, so many questions, it was lovely xx

Alicejj8x · 20/08/2018 15:10

@Baby160P
I have so many apps ah!

Ah take it easy and I am so glad works been ok xx

alicejones1995 · 20/08/2018 15:18

Hi @craftymum,

Been quite lucky with my pregnancy, awful first few weeks but didnt find out until i was 8 & a half weeks so just brushed the sickness off stupidly.

The only thing im struggling with really is my legs keep going dead in the night - im guessing due to me being heavy haha! but found that having a pregnancy pillow between my legs has helped.

Whats your due date?

craftymum01 · 20/08/2018 15:36

13th feb. Found out this week two of my best friends are due the 14th and 12th so it's a race to the maternity suite!

Yakadee · 20/08/2018 15:37

@craftymum01 - stuff like that doesn't keep them down does it! We currently have a sickness bug going through our house, my husband and now me. Really hoping it doesn't get to my son 😩

craftymum01 · 20/08/2018 15:38

God @Yakaee I couldn't think of anything worse right now!

Eyedontknow · 20/08/2018 15:38

@jeanzbeanz I feel ya, nearly 17 weeks and have spent the whole day vomiting, not been able to keep anything down. Also have a massive headache to top it off.

Yakadee · 20/08/2018 15:44

@craftymum01 - tell me about it! I was so sick in the night if was just awful, really taken it out of me! I've got impetigo at the moment as well (random) so must just be run down. Just keeping everything crossed that my son doesn't get it. 😩

AliceRR · 20/08/2018 15:59

@craftymum01 Lovely to have good friends pregnant at the same time!
