@DragonFlew - I'm 16 weeks today and haven't felt or been sick in a few weeks. Then this morning, random wave of nausea and had to dash to the sink. Wasn't sick but close. Feel OK now thankfully x

clairehr · 19/08/2018 09:42

@DragonFlew Yep! I normally find its the day after I say "Oh, I feel MUCH better today!" 😂

MakeLemonade · 19/08/2018 09:59

I’m at a complete loss with what to wear at the moment, normal jeans feeling too snug, maternity ones too big and won’t stay up. What’s everyone else doing? Has anyone found any jeans or trousers that are good for this bit?

DragonFlew · 19/08/2018 10:14

@MakeLemonade leggings!

jeanzbeanz · 19/08/2018 10:26

@DragonFlew yes I had been doing loads better, but have felt rubbish most of last week and was sick on Thursday and Friday 😢

I attended Communion this morning and totally blacked out towards the end!! So awkward. I often black out when I stand up but this was the first time it's happened when I've been sitting doing nothing. The room was quite hot and someone opened a window for me because I said I was dizzy, but unfortunately I was too far gone by then. Once I got my head down I felt much better, but I'm still feeling a bit light headed now. Oh the joys of low blood pressure... all the medical professionals love it because "nobody ever died from low blood pressure" but it does make your life a bit miserable!

AliceRR · 19/08/2018 10:46

@MakeLemonade I got some legging trousers from New Look that I love but unfortunately cannot find sign of despite it only having been a week ago but I did get some really nice over bump mat jeans from H&M yesterday that work well on me. I’m a size 8 so went for normal size and they’re really nice. Posted link yesterday. Also got some skinny legging joggers from there in the sale.

I think some people are sizing down for mat clothes if that helps you but I’ve been going for usual size although my bump is not huge (definitely have a bump and thicker waist though)

Have you tried over bump and under bump style?

twiglet · 19/08/2018 10:48

@jeanzbeanz I know what you mean about low BP I've had a few fainting spells!
I was told to drink plenty of fluids and up my salt intake its easiest via crisps so feel a bit bad for eating them but a bag of crisps each day has reduced dizzyness!

If all else fails my friend taught me to clench my fists and bum cheeks if I feel like I'm about to go apparently it can be enough to stop you. Or that's what her cardiologist said! It's managed to stop me on a few occasions!

jeanzbeanz · 19/08/2018 11:38

@twiglet thanks so much for the tips. I'll bear them in mind!

MakeLemonade · 19/08/2018 12:49

Yes I’ve tried over and under bumps, just end up booking them up all the time. I’ve just bought myself some dungarees - JoJo Maman Bebe - which seems like a good solution for now! They’re super comfy, really soft denim.

Sure I’ll be filling up those mat jeans in no time Grin

Surprisedmom · 19/08/2018 12:55

@twiglet thanks for the tip, I just fainted for the first time this morning, whilst chatting to my elderly neighbour after taking the dog for a walk. Bless him but my neighbour wasn’t phased at all, just said ‘oh have you had a funny turn?’ And let me sit on the floor while we carried on chatting.

DragonFlew · 19/08/2018 13:55

TMI.
I have never in my life or my last 2 pregnancies suffered with constipation but this time it is terrible. I'm sure people getit much worse than this but I've never experienced this before!
I've changed my diet the last week or so, cut out bread and increased fruit and veg with porridge for added fibre too. Loads of water! I don't know what I'm doing wrong!
Could it be linked to pregnacare?

Wames90 · 19/08/2018 13:57

Has anyone else become really irritable?! I feel like I want to scream today! Everyone is doing my head in 😂

welshweasel · 19/08/2018 14:00

I’m wearing my H&M over bump jeans with no issue! Can’t see them lasting me to the end of pregnancy this time round although I’m probably a size bigger starting out. There’s a Jojo outlet near me so I’m planning on a trip there to get a few more bits and pieces especially for work.

Feeling really sick the past few days again, not sure if it’s pregnancy related or a bug but it’s horrible. Feeling lots of little movements now though which is nice.

craftymum01 · 19/08/2018 14:05

@Wames90 oh God yes. I have started three fights with DH in the last 24 hours and wanted to throw things at his head. I'm hoping it is hormones lol

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 19/08/2018 14:30

I am super irritable and teary... I’m annoying myself 🙄

I am definitely feeling movement now, I was unsure about a week ago, but now they are definite movements rather than flutters. Can’t wait for DP to be able to feel them!

cheesegobbler · 19/08/2018 14:38

I can safely join this rant.... I just shouted at OH as he wanted to put tap water in the iron instead of the ironing water I had bought hahaha !!!

Wames90 · 19/08/2018 15:06

I’m so glad it’s not just me!! Hopefully we’ll stop being so irritable and irational soon!!
That’s so exciting about the movement @notasgreen, what does it feel like? I felt something last weekend but haven’t felt anything since so was thinking it was maybe trapped wind instead!

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 19/08/2018 15:11

Last week was small bubbly feelings... this week it feels like more of a push, but only once at a time and not frequently. Almost like a muscle twitch.. but it doesn’t recur in the same place.

It’s my third child and I’m still not sure what I’m doing 😂😂

Yakadee · 19/08/2018 16:26

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking - I think I'm feeling baby too. Mine feels like a little push, can't say I've felt any flutters. I have my 16 week appointment this coming Thursday so hoping to hear that little heart beat! 😍

DragonFlew · 19/08/2018 17:06

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking how many weeks are you? I can't wait to feel it!

welshweasel · 19/08/2018 17:27

Mine is like bubbling with the odd flipping sensation and bump. I’m 16 weeks tomorrow.

AliceRR · 19/08/2018 18:34

I don’t think I’ve felt anything although I think maybe a bubbly feeling a week or so ago but wasn’t sure what that was.

I get a feeling and for the first few seconds I’m wondering is it cramp, wind, so I need the loo?

Don’t think I can feel baby move yet but looking forward to that. MW suggested that I am a few weeks away from that yet...

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 19/08/2018 18:45

@DragonFlew I am 14+3 today..

Notquiteagandt · 19/08/2018 19:07

Ive felt what can be discribed as a bee vibrating buzzing about. Very low down. Toyed with what feels like popcorn popping fast.

Baby or wind im not sure. But im feeling it more frequently.

FrowningFlamingo · 19/08/2018 20:30

I felt a definite movement just over a week ago but nothing convincing enough since. I have IBS though so used to lots of abdominal twinges and gas so that will probably make it harder to tell!
