New thread ladies after the last one only lasted 2 weeks Grin
Not sure about you all but I'm definitely feeling a lot better now at 14 weeks. Let's hope it lasts!! As you were.....

Exactly if I'm put on there in photos I'm sure it'll be apparent.

We also are away at new year. In Devon (from Essex) someone scared me last night like take your baby bits and a hospital bag with you as my baby came 7 weeks early.

Omg! Scary

craftymum01 · 18/08/2018 08:39

We have told immediate family but aren't telling friends or anyone else until after our 16 week scan. I just keep moaning about how much weight I have put on recently! Only 2 weeks to go and we can tell people, so much easier

clairehr · 18/08/2018 09:32

We're not announcing on any social media, just personal preference, but we've told everyone we want to know already, friends and family. These people are the ones I know will support us and baby now, and when born 😊

bubblybrit · 18/08/2018 10:21

How are you? @LookingAtTheStars89 xx

fizzledays · 18/08/2018 10:31

Oh my word this moves fast!!
It's our 1 year wedding anniversary on 1st September so we might announce something then...most of our friends and family know now though!

Baby160P · 18/08/2018 10:47

It's our announcement weekend full of bbqs this weekend. I feel so sick today and think it's just being anxious. 🤢

powkin · 18/08/2018 12:02

Woke up at 5am with killer headache. Attempts to take painkillers ended in awful sickness, causing it to feel like my head was splitting open at the same time!

Managed to sleep from 7 - 9am at least but head still killing and scared to try painkillers again. Very tempted to take one mild cocodamol which will definitely work rather than two paracetamol that probably won’t. I know it’s not advised but they do prescribe it in pregnancy. I get so paralysed by the DON’T DO ANYTHING advise for fear that I’ll the baby will be harmed and I’ll blame the one painkiller I took :(

powkin · 18/08/2018 12:04

Advice*

Also not putting anything on social media. I didn’t put any photos of A publicly until she was almost a year old and someone else did it first - not happy. Each to their own. I’m not on Facebook anyway!

Have a family party tonight. Sisters 30th. Could do without it I’m not in the mood and feel enormous 😞 struggled with this the first time round too.

DragonFlew · 18/08/2018 14:23

I am soooo exhausted all the time this week!

We viewed a house last night and have agreed in principle to move - just waiting on contracts being drawn up. Quick decision, bit nervous! But we need the extra bedroom and it's still close enough to school for DS1 & 2.
Hoping to be in before Christmas if all goes to plan! Busy busy!

DragonFlew · 18/08/2018 14:25

Re social media, I do have Facebook however neither of my kids are pictured on it and I actually tell family members not to post pics of them. Think it really annoys MIL because she always posts pics of her other GC, buuuut my kids my rules haha!
It's not a secret but I won't be making a big announcement on fb, tbh I haven't seen half of my 'friends' since school, but I am on a few mum and baby groups and will be looking our for preloved baby items so I'm sure people will work it out!

Alicejj8x · 18/08/2018 14:42

Yes constantly hungry too

13+2 today and feeling very aching around my lower back and hips. On my app it says to prepare for the feeling of growing as apparently baby is growing a lot this week

cheesegobbler · 18/08/2018 14:55

Hi Smilealljus making myself known! I only joined mums net early hours of the morning so it's all new to me
Due date is 21st feb. Feel like a whale but at least I have (mostly) stopped overeating to curb the sickness now ! Nice to meet you all

DragonFlew · 18/08/2018 14:56

@Alicejj8x what app do you have?

DragonFlew · 18/08/2018 14:57

Hi @cheesegobbler! I am due 25th Feb so quite close. How are you feeling now?

DragonFlew · 18/08/2018 14:58

Is anyone paying for a gender scan at 16w? I can't decide whether to do it, it's £60 at my local clinic or just save that money and wait until NHS one @ 20w!

ducklingb · 18/08/2018 15:00

@DragonFlew hey! I've got my private scan booked for 16 weeks... it's on the 28th I'm too impatient not to know

cheesegobbler · 18/08/2018 15:06

Hi - aside from feeling really bloated Grin not too bad.
If you can spare the cash then they aren’t expensive and I would probably just go for it! We said we would wait until the 20 week scan but we have found out this week that we need to have more tests because of our Edwards and Patau’s result so our private NIPT is tmw , either way if everything goes to plan we will find out the sex ( and that everything is okay with bump) by Friday which is a LOT earlier than either of us anticipated!

DragonFlew · 18/08/2018 15:17

@cheesegobbler hope everything is ok! Is this your first? It's so exciting, I'm really impatient but as we are moving I don't know if it's wiser to save the money now! I might ask my parents as an early xmas gift! Haha!

twiglet · 18/08/2018 15:25

We are paying for a private 16 week scan but our trust doesn't tell you so it's private or surprise and I hate surprises!

Re headaches I've also been suffering with them stronger paracetamol and fore head helped didn't get rise entirely. I've had them about a week now!

jeanzbeanz · 18/08/2018 15:41

Anyone else got a sore back? I'm walking round a shopping centre today and after being on my feet for a while my back is really sore! Keep taking rest breaks on every available bench!

cheesegobbler · 18/08/2018 15:44

Yes it's our first and it took a very long time to happen. It's exciting but obvs due to the possible outcome of the NIPT I am trying to not get carried away. Try and tell the baby that though.... I am super round on the belly and I'm only 13 +3! Whatever happens at least I know I can get pregnant now which is a miracle in itself in my case Smile. Sorry if I have missed it already but where are we all from ? I am in Preston, Lancashire. Xx

Yakadee · 18/08/2018 16:01

@cheesegobbler - congratulations! I'm in Halifax so not too far from you! X

cheesegobbler · 18/08/2018 16:04

Yay a fellow northerner ! Haha

Alicejj8x · 18/08/2018 16:05
