Sorry to hear this @Martydog how many weeks are you?
You could try EPU and see what they say?
It really could be nothing to worry about xx

Martydog · 13/10/2018 11:30

@maydot Going off my LMP 9 weeks but going off the scan I had last week 7 weeks.

Happysbno4 · 13/10/2018 19:29

@martydog I've had two episodes of red blood and brown spotting for three weeks. My last epu scan the doctor said unless pain and lots of blood try not to worry. Big hugs for you! Its a nightmare xx

dreaminofholidays · 14/10/2018 07:45

@martydog how are you today?
Did your scan dates match the dates you thought? xxx

Pancakes7 · 14/10/2018 07:59

@Martydog How are you today? How was your scan?

Pancakes7 · 14/10/2018 08:00

@xJune88 How are you feeling today? Any change?

Martydog · 14/10/2018 08:16

Thanks for the concern the spotting seems to stop and start every now and again. I didn’t have a scan as they won’t scan at weekends. I might give epu a ring tomorrow if I’m still spotting.

Pancakes7 · 14/10/2018 10:13

@Martydog Good idea. It will reassure you. I hope it stops and you have a restful Sunday.

Pancakes7 · 15/10/2018 13:16

How is everyone feeling? I'm still feeling sick constantly. This is the third week. I really hope it gets better soon. I'm struggling with no break. Plus still can't eat much at all. Anyone else suffering? I'm in my 9th week. Well I'll be 9 weeks on Thursday. Really hoping my 12 week scan letter turns up soon. On top of this I've had a rare infection... been on pennecillin antibiotics. Finish them tomorrow. So hoping it'll be cleared.

Martydog · 15/10/2018 17:13

@pancakes7 I feel sick most of the afternoon but am so tired. I normally start yawning around 10oclock and by the afternoon I am struggling to keep my eyes open. I’m about 9 weeks also and no letter yet.

Pancakes7 · 15/10/2018 18:07

@Martydog Yeah the tiredness is hard isn't it. I'm in bed by 9 each night. Occasionally 8! Yesterday I had a 4 hour nap. Just to escape the nausea feeling. Makes me want to give my Mum a massive hug for going through all this for me! It's harder than I expected. But once we have our little baby it'll all be worth it.

dreaminofholidays · 15/10/2018 18:07

also feeling so tired. I've had a wobble the last couple of days so went for another early scan today. Everything looks good so far, saw the baby move as well! xx

HalfBloodPrincess · 15/10/2018 18:57

I’ve been having a wobble too so have got a scan booked for the 18th when I’m around 9 weeks. Epau took bloods and my levels are over 128000 which match up to my dates (I think) so hopefully will get to see a healthy baba on the screen 🤞

Martydog · 15/10/2018 19:42

I’m kind of putting my head in the sand thinking if I don’t have a scan before the 12 weeks then I won’t know if anything is wrong. I saw a heartbeat just over a week ago so am hoping that’s a good sign.

HalfBloodPrincess · 15/10/2018 19:59

@martydog I felt exactly the same. I had my miscarriage at 11+3 (but I knew it was coming as my dates were a 12 days difference at an earlier scan) and it’s coming up to my due date for that baby. I was thinking about it earlier and it just hit me that I need to see my baby. I only saw the last one once and if I miscarry again before 12 weeks I won’t see this one at all.

Newbie21 · 15/10/2018 20:45

Hi ladies, I see a lot of familiar names here :-). Hope it's ok to join although I might be pushing summer more than spring. I'm 5 weeks 3 days, EDD is 16 June. One DS. One MMC in April, a CP last cycle so very nervous about this one and only tested at weekend as I didn't want to test early. I haven't had my booking in yet, will call GP tomorrow.

Having only had one MC, do you know if NHS allow earlier scans? And can you tell me when they can first detect a heartbeat?

Good luck to all

HalfBloodPrincess · 15/10/2018 20:57

@newbie21 hello, I recognise your name from the penguin huddle. I was on there under a previous username. I had a mmc in April too.

I think the earlier scan is dependant on which trust you’re under. At my booking appointment my midwife said she would refer me to the epau if I wanted because of my anxiety which at first I declined but have now changed my mind and have a scan on the 18th at 9 weeks.

I think that your hcg has to be at a certain level for a heartbeat to be seen - 1500? Im not 100% sure on this though so am happy to be corrected if anyone knows for sure.

Pancakes7 · 15/10/2018 21:46

@Newbie21 They say 7 weeks for a heartbeat. I had an early scan at 7 weeks +2 and saw the heartbeat.

Newbie21 · 15/10/2018 23:31

@HalfBloodPrincess and @Pancakes7 thank you. I will speak to GP tomorrow and see what they say about any early scans.

dreaminofholidays · 16/10/2018 06:14

@newbie21 I recognise your name, good to see you here.
I had a scan at 6+6 and could see the heartbeat flickering away.

@halfbloodprincess not long to go until the 18th, hope time passes quickly for you.

I think the NHS should have an arm that offers early scans for a fee, like keep the criteria the same so they are still offered for free to those that qualify but if I could pay at the Nhs I would choose that over another clinic.

Pancakes7 · 16/10/2018 07:00

@Dreaminofholidays It probably depends where you're based. But our nhs hospital you can also pay for scans and they're carried out at the same place but you get in sooner. I had to pay when my mmc started as nhs wanted me to wait 5 days. It's £100 though. Whereas place I went to the time is only £60. I think I'm going to try and book a scan for Saturday at 9 weeks +2. I just need to check baby is still ok.

frankiefumbles · 16/10/2018 07:37

@Pancakes7 I fly home tomorrow. Hilariously (not) my evening sickness has now reverted to morning sickness...so I take it that it's somehow connected to sleep patterns or hormones through the day? Delightfully I assume that whilst I will have to manage it tomorrow morning, when I get back to the U.K. it'll presumably hang about in the evenings for a few days before reverting back. What a mess.

I'm finally less exhausted but I honestly don't know if it's jet lag wearing off (in which case the jokes on me because I'm about to have some more of that good shhht). Or whether I've broken through a barrier.

No sign of any letter to mums house, she's have said, and I'm about 8 and a half weeks now. Rubbish you've been so ill but hopefully over the worse of it now.

@Newbie21 congratulations on news, sorry about history. No special treatment until you hit three miscarriages unfortunately...unless you have symptoms like cramping and bleeding in which case they seem to take pity on you. You could of course go private...at a cost!

I feel like I've been through a lot since my last scan (lols...which I have!) and I want to check baby survived the holiday. I've saved well more than the £80 or so for the scan on money I'd usually have spent on food, so I shall feel no guilt. I got the wind put up me by someone on the forum who saw the HB at 7 weeks and then lost it by 9. I just feel it's worth the money to eliminate the possibility it's...died...because I don't want to be walking around with false hope. I feel a bit like I've put it under quite a lot of stress flying it half way around the globe.

Here's to 28 hours of travel tomorrow...across a ten hour time shift. Wish me luck! I'm desperate to be home now and I really don't recommend this madness!!

Pancakes7 · 16/10/2018 07:50

@frankiefumbles Oh wow that is a long journey even if you weren't pregnant. I hope it goes quick for you. You then off on holiday? Or is this the end of the travelling? Your letter going to your Mum's, not your house? I'm hoping my letter comes today. I'm going to book a scan, it's only £60. We could spend that on dinner out.

kisses4u · 16/10/2018 10:10

Congrats to you @Newbie21 I remember you from ttc thread! Fingers crossed for a sticky bean!

Wow @frankiefumbles what a long flight! Where are you again? I think this is your holiday and once back you'll be staying out for a while? Hope you had a good time despite all the worry.

@Pancakes7 What letter are you waiting for? Is it a scan date? Our trust gets us to register online once you are 6 weeks plus, I received my scan date weeks ago, mines in the 5th November. I won't be quite 12 weeks yet, but close enough.

I'm feeling reassured by all the sickness I'm experiencing, mine tends to be morning or evening. I think it's morning today, I'm having a rare opportunity for a lie down while DS is at nursery for the morning, which I'm hoping will help me avoid staring into the toilet bowl! Ugh 😑

Pancakes7 · 16/10/2018 12:16

@kisses4u Yes my scan date letter. Last time it came so quickly. The booking in appointment triggers the scan appointment in our area.
