@laurenluke2017 congratulations!

@freiasbathtub welcome. Seems like we are in the same position, or has baby shown up for you? Hope you are feeling well.

@meetthewildes no baby yet! I'm 6 days over and very frustrated. I keep getting random contractions that go nowhere...never thought I'd wish for another induction but I now wish I could do it before next Tuesday if they would let me!

midnight1983 · 17/10/2018 06:16

@lila99 I know how you feel! Not long to go now...try and go to bed earlier than your DP maybe? I find sleeping some of the night alone is less irritating.

Anm4 · 17/10/2018 15:23

My baby boy was born on the 2nd Oct at 38 weeks, was a semi emergency csection as i had PROM two days before my planned section. We got readmitted as he had jaundice and needed phototherapy treatment. He is now 7lb 8oz, home and we are all loving our new arrival. Good luck to all mummys waiting and congrats to all who have had there babies xx

FreiasBathtub · 17/10/2018 16:19

Thanks for the welcomes! Still here, still waiting. It's so weird doing knicker checks just like at the beginning of pregnancy except this time I'm hoping to find something! That stage all feels like a very long time ago.

@meetthewildes WOW twins at 41+3, that must have been hard work towards the end! I know what you mean about the 'what if' - I also have about 4 million people on standby to look after DD when things do kick off and I don't want to phone them until it's the real deal... but don't want to leave it too late either. Ugh!

@midnight1983 solidarity! I am actually not feeling too bad physically, just exhausted and grumpy. Lots of naps, and watching crap TV. How are you? I know what you mean about induction. I'm not super keen on the idea in general but it's looking more appealing as I get later and later!

@Lila99 sorry to hear about the lack of sleep. Hope you're getting some daytime rest at least? I have the opposite problem, I'm sleeping ok but DH cannot deal with my walrus-like snoring (he recorded it the other night, it's pretty bad...) so he's in the spare room and I'm feeling a bit guilty. Although, let's be honest, not that guilty - I'd swap places with him for the next couple of weeks if I could.

Sending contraction-y thoughts towards everyone who is waiting for some action!

laurenluke2017 · 17/10/2018 16:42

Hey everyone. I had my section at 10.30 was discharged by 6 the next day. I recovered so well and I'm home with my beautiful little man, he is so amazing I literally cannot stop staring at him!! Hope everyone else is getting on well and to everyone who is still waiting not long for you i hope xxxx

laurenluke2017 · 17/10/2018 16:43

10.30 on the 15th** xx

Deedeejanuary · 18/10/2018 04:53

@midnight1983 thank you, how are you doing now? My friend was the same first at 37 weeks, second at 41. Hope you’re not waiting much longer!

@meetthewildes I feel ready to have the baby but not ready for the baby, if that makes sense. But really at the end of the day you just need a boob/bottle and somehwhere for it to sleep.
I have an emergency section this time so will be strange being a lot more aware this time.

Welcome to all the new babies and for those of you still waiting i know the last few weeks are hard but you are on the home stretch!

Deedeejanuary · 18/10/2018 04:54

Eek I’m leaving for section in 2 hours was very emotional putting my nearly 3 year old to bed last night.

ansucre · 18/10/2018 22:46

My LMP says 31st as my due date , but dating Scan says 26th October . So am just waiting and getting anxious for my Little Princess arrival

midnight1983 · 19/10/2018 06:46

@deedeejanuary hope it went well for you and baby yesterday.

@laurenluke2017 congrats! Hope you are both well.

@meetthewildes how are you doing now? You are going back to work super quick! Hope baby is not too late for you.

@freiasbathtub any news for you? I am still waiting for baby! 41+1 today. I'm wildly swinging between positive and relaxed to anxious and highly irritated. I am finding the mental challenge much harder than the physical tbh. Seeing midwife today and I think induction should be booked for Tuesday...which is half term! Highly inconvenient lol.

Belles86 · 19/10/2018 11:00

Hey @midnight1983 ! We had our little girl Liliana at 23:23 on 15/10. She was 41+4 and I like you sufferred more mentally (until the 48hr back to back labour, LOL). Ended up having emergency c as she wasn’t progressing but she is SO worth it. Just got home yesterday but loved being spoiled in hospital (midwives are amazing!!)

Any signs/progress for you?

FreiasBathtub · 19/10/2018 13:23

Hey @midnight1983, still waiting here too, 41 weeks exactly. Had a second sweep yesterday morning and then some contractions in the evening. Felt like start of labour with DD so optimistically got MIL over in case we had to dash off to hospital overnight. Obviously that jinxed everything! Know exactly what you mean about the emotional challenge. Was a teary wreck this morning! Hope that things get moving for you over the weekend. I'm booked for induction on Monday...

midnight1983 · 19/10/2018 14:23

@belles86 congratulations! Hope you are recovering well after C section. Sounds like a marathon labour!

@freiasbathtub I just had the second sweep and I'm booked for induction Tuesday. Midwife said my cervix was very favourable so I'm hoping I could go into labour before...the constant start and stop is so wearing isn't it? Knowing I have an end date in sight has cheered me up quite a bit though. Wishing you a timely and easy labour!

FreiasBathtub · 20/10/2018 13:54

Ooh @midnight1983, sounds promising! I have everything crossed that things get moving on their own today! I'm still waiting, as you say it's good to have an end date to focus on. Thinking of making my Christmas cake today with DD, the lengths I will go to for distraction!

midnight1983 · 22/10/2018 10:14

@freiasbathtub good luck today! Or maybe you have your newborn already. Wishing you well.

I had some really strong contractions yesterday but labour hasn't started so... Induction tomorrow. I am so relieved just hope they have space for me...

FreiasBathtub · 23/10/2018 10:40

@midnight1983 good luck today! Hope it all goes really smoothly. I ended up being induced on Saturday, went a bit wrong and ended up with a c section early Sunday morning but has all ended well and we are home with our little boy getting used to being a family of 4!

meetthewildes · 23/10/2018 11:00

How many of us are still here..?

Congratulations @freiasbathtub! I hope that you're ok, and your experience wasn't too traumatic.

Thinking of you, @midnight1983

Due tomorrow! Baby is SO LOW but my assistant is currently off sick and my children have colds, so I think I'll keep my legs crossed for a few days!

unicornchaser · 23/10/2018 12:56

I'm still here too! Due a week today, baby is low and moving a hell of a lot (had a silent rave at 1am last night/this morning!) but nothing definitive of an arrival yet Sad
Fed up, fat and sore so walked 7.5km yesterday and 5 today in the hope of kicking him out!!

HI ladies, thought I'd join the group if that's ok, had MTV baby boy 2nd of October

midnight1983 · 24/10/2018 13:50

Hi all, thanks for the thoughts and well wishes. I am still in for induction but things are really getting going now! Hope everyone else is well.

LanaLily11 · 24/10/2018 20:38

I’m still here too, 1 week until due date. Had Midwife today measuring 34 at 39 weeks so off for another growth scan tomorrow.

midnight1983 · 25/10/2018 08:02

Baby boy finally born last night! He is very big and it was quick once the induction happened 👍 wishing everyone else a speedy labour 💐

Deedeejanuary · 25/10/2018 14:13

Baby girl born 18/10/18 by elective section, lucky she was as was undiagnosed breech 😱
Home after 2 nights and recovering well.

twobambinos · 26/10/2018 10:15

Congratulations on all the arrivals @midnight1983 how big was he. @deedeejanuary and @freiasbathtub hope you are all recovering well.

@meetthewildes maybe this one will be on time. and @unicornchaser will be keeping an eye out for your updates. Hope you are feeling well and enjoying the last few days. Hope all the walking works. It was one thing I couldn't face. Still can't 3 weeks later. Taking it very easy and doing the bare minimum to keep functioning here Grin
