Congratulations @oreolovegood and @smithguy1987. Enjoy every precious minute.

Thegirlhasnoname · 06/10/2018 16:39

So many babies arriving!

They brought my induction forward and after a day of complications, both on my half and babies, baby was born at 9.24pm last night following an emergency section. She’s perfect 😍 (aside from some blood sugar issues she needs monitoring on that are a side afffect from the blood pressure tablets I was put on). Weighs 7lb1oz at 36+6 so who knows how big she’d be if she went fully to term!

nervousFTM · 06/10/2018 18:43

@Thegirlhasnoname @laurenluke2017 @oreolovegood come join us here too!

September and October 2018 arrivalswww.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/3379085-September-and-October-2018-arrivals

meetthewildes · 07/10/2018 09:51

Welcome @laurenluke2017! And congratulations @oreolovegood and @thegirlhasnoname!

So many nightmares. I am completely hormonally unbalanced and turning into a bit of a basket case. I don’t remember this happening before! If anyone needs me today, I’ll be busy booking myself reassurance scans for EVERYTHING and reminding myself that I am an adult and in control.

How is everyone else?

Yerp · 07/10/2018 10:39

Congratulations to all who have had their babies already! It’s so exciting all these babies arriving now. And terrifying too! I can’t believe in just a few short weeks I’m going to have a baby!

I’m 37 weeks today. I’ve been sorting and tidying the house all weekend. I thought I was really organised, but keep finding “essential” things I haven’t done (like cleaned inside the cupboards in the porch Hmm this must be nesting I think 😂) I can just imagine the midwife asking before we leave the hospital with the baby “yerp, have you cleaned out the porch cupboards or you can’t take the baby home” 😂 😂

midnight1983 · 08/10/2018 09:27

Congratulations to all the new arrivals! Very exciting.

@meetthewildes sorry to hear you are feeling so frazzled. Hopefully things are a bit brighter now.

I'm at 39+5 today and very impatient!!! Made worse by being back at the gp for yet more tonsillitis... I'm very very done with the end of pregnancy and just want to get on with labour now!!!

Havetothink · 09/10/2018 10:58

One more for the new arrivals. Eloise born weighing 8lb 3 at 15.46 yesterday on the 8th, 40 weeks exactly! The birth went really well and we even went home the same day, so much better than my first birth experience Smile

filzma · 09/10/2018 12:00

Baby girl arrived yesterday 7lbs 8:29pm. Still recovering and trying to get some cuddles in.
Congratulations to everyone that had their baby.
All the best for the impending births.

meetthewildes · 09/10/2018 13:33

@midnight1983 I can't imagine dealing with tonsillitis right now! You poor lamb. I hope that it clears up swiftly for you.

Welcome to baby Eloise and congratulations, @havetothink! What a beautiful name.

@filzma congratulations! Wishing you an easy recovery from here.

How is nesting going, @Yerp? I'm nesting too and it feels endless - so much to do!! But the house is looking so much nicer for it. :)

twobambinos · 09/10/2018 13:44

@yerp that sounds like myself cleaning out the cupboards and the place could be falling down around me.

@havetothink and @filzma congratulations on your new arrivals. Enjoy every minute.

@thegirlhasnoname congratulations on your new arrival . Can you imagine the size of her is right.

Hope everyone is recovering well.

We are one week in today and I have to say I am really going to miss my dh going back to work. It hasn't been the smoothest of years and there was plenty of times I wanted to run away and hide because he was annoying me but I have a new foungd respect for him this week for taking such care of us all. I'm welling up here.

unicornchaser · 09/10/2018 16:15

Congratulations @Havetothink and @Filzma our first birthday twins in the group!

2ndPGchimp · 10/10/2018 12:06

And a third arrival on he 8th from me! He arrived very quickly (1.5 hours after our arrival at hospital) but much preferable to my marathon first. He is beautiful.

Congrats to All the other new mums and good luck for the impending births

meetthewildes · 10/10/2018 16:10

Oh well done, @2ndPGchimp! How are you feeling?

38 weeks today and for the first time in my history of employment, today I completed my boss's US tax return and nobody cried! Not bad for a hormonal mess. Nothing much is happening here aside from that I seem to have a raging case of perpetual PMT.

2ndPGchimp · 11/10/2018 12:35

Thank you @meetthewildes, I am good thanks. Little one has a fairly hefty tongue tie and my milk has come in today so a bit sore, but still managing to feed so all good.

I definitely had put symptoms for the last few weeks. Even though I was very excited and positive about the arrival, I was definitely also anxious, which certainly makes me fractious!

midnight1983 · 12/10/2018 06:54

@2ndPGchimp congratulations! Hope all is well.

I am officially overdue today! Fed up! Does anyone know what normally happens next? I am presuming the midwife will book an induction when I see her today...do you automatically get offered a sweep?

Belles86 · 12/10/2018 14:01

@midnight1983 I was offered a sweep at 40 weeks which I accepted, then I accepted another one at 41 weeks, currently 41+1 and have a third sweep tomorrow morning. If nothing then, the routes for me (as low risk) are expectant management (ie daily monitoring to check babs has enough fluid etc and is healthy) or book an induction.
Frustrating though isn’t it?

midnight1983 · 12/10/2018 19:24

@belles86 thanks for the info. It is frustrating!!! I saw my midwife today and she gave me a sweep...ans said I am dilated 1-2 cm and cervix is soft so I guess either I'll go into labour soon or stay like this for a while!

No effect so far, but I did have a couple of contractions before the sweep. I am planning to go for a long walk tomorrow.

Do you think you will choose induction? Despite having had a painful one last time I will definitely choose induction if it comes to it as I can't bear this uncertainty.

Hope everyone else is doing well today.

Belles86 · 12/10/2018 20:57

@midnight1983 ahh ok, sounds like you’re making progress then and was good they were able to perform a sweep as I couldn’t either time (not dilated at all).
Walk sounds like a good plan though 🤞
I will go for an induction if needed but am going to try and hold off until I have to..
Keep us posted!

Deedeejanuary · 12/10/2018 22:36

Hi all, is there a Facebook group as well?

Deedeejanuary · 12/10/2018 22:38

Congratulations on all the new arrivals! I am having an elcs on Thursday, eek! Last few days are going super fast.

midnight1983 · 15/10/2018 10:16

@belles86 how are you doing? Any progress?

@deedeejanuary good luck on Thursday!

Hope everyone else is doing well today. I am currently 4 days overdue and impatient! Had a sweep on Friday and had lots of bloody show and random mild contractions... But still no labour. I was slightly early with my first so this is driving me crazy!

laurenluke2017 · 15/10/2018 22:45

Hi everyone. My son was born at 10:56 by planned caesarean section weighing 8lbs 8oz he is a beautiful healthy little boy. Even after my section this morning I am up and about! Very happy ftm here xx

FreiasBathtub · 16/10/2018 15:37

Hello everyone - can I join? I was due 4 days ago and despite a sweep, a bit of a show and some mild contractions nothing much is happening! I'm so impatient now. DD was 3 days overdue and I thought that was bad, but I don't believe this baby is ever coming out!

meetthewildes · 16/10/2018 16:07

@deedeejanuary it's nearly Thursday! Do you feel ready?

@midnight1983 oh you poor thing, I hope that baby has shown up by now. Bloody show is usually a good sign. How are you feeling?

@laurenluke2017 CONGRATULATIONS! So glad to read that you are doing well.

@freiasbathtub welcome! Sorry to hear that baby is keeping you waiting. I hope that he or she puts in an appearance soon!

I'm 38+6 today. Baby seems surprisingly engaged, though I haven't a hope of this one coming early - even my twin daughters didn't show up until 41+3. All the same, every twinge makes me wonder 'what if'... and I really need to be back at work by the 19th November too, which I can do if this baby shows up by 41+5 but I'm going to struggle with otherwise. Argh.

Lila99 · 16/10/2018 21:35

I am bloody fed up. 38 weeks tomorrow, not sleeping at all - in fact I dread ‘bed time’ watching DP snooze next to me whilst I toss and turn uncomfortably all night long. Angry
