@Flamingo19 if you have one of those b&m Bargain stores near you, I have seen the chocolate pretzels there (I've also had an unhealthy desire for them in this pregnancy)

That's fab @Milknosugar1, I used to get osteo treatment and it was like I was a new person! Never tried acupuncture, scares me a little but also supposed to be amazing!

On the subject of the pretzels desire, anyone else feel disappointed and cheated at having no cravings?! I have had none, not even 1 and wish I had! It's also like the 3rd question every person asks behind when am I due and do I know what it is.

OP posts:
justtowarm · 01/08/2018 11:36

@unicornchaser not really sure it was a craving more I just wanted them (I am am fairly greedy Blush) I have noticed I want salty food though I think that is craving and also water melon (but think I might have just been dehydrated). If these are cravings I wouldn't feel cheated but I'm not convinced they are.

I'm fed up of people say wow your still pregnant/ you've been pregnant for ages. I just want to give them the finger and walk away.... I have taken to smiling and saying I know with a dead stare, before walking away .... I think I have lost all my tolerance of people

TinyTerror1 · 01/08/2018 12:19

@justtowarm I was thinking yesterday everything in society is so instant these days, pregnancy is one of the few things you really have to wait for. I guess that is sort of why people are surprised that you are still pregnant but I agree it is stupid and I would lose all patience very quickly!

@unicornchaser all I've really 'craved' is milk/dairy. Nothing remotely exciting at all.

Doll87 · 01/08/2018 12:25

@unicornchaser @tinyterror1

I get the opposite, people say to me "oh wow, the time has flown by, feels like your pregnancy has gone so fast" and i'm like.......NOT TO ME IT DOESN'T hahaha!

I think i am used to everything being so quick that i feel like ive been preggo for ever, im quite impatient though. I cant wait to meet baby and the wait is killing me

milk I'm a bit freaked out now that I'm in single figures... I'm 30+3 and they said yesterday they'd induce me at around 39 weeks so I've got less than 9 weeks to go!!

blueskies22 · 01/08/2018 14:58

Hi all, please can I join? I'm due on 3rd October, a surprise, just know there's only one! Nausea never really left me but much better than it was. Totally agree, feels like I've been pregnant for ages!

TinyTerror1 · 01/08/2018 16:24

Welcome @OddlyDesserted and @blueskies22. The more the merrier!

Doll87 · 01/08/2018 16:35

@milknosugar1 "headbutted in the fanny 30 times a day. " hahahahah LMFAO! love tYesterday (on one of many toilet trips), i finished my wee wee and began washing my hands....which made me need to go for another wee......EAT. SLEEP. WEE. REPEAT....

Doll87 · 01/08/2018 16:42

Also, on a separate note, i have totally gone off savoury food. There is just no desire what so ever to eat at meal times, i do eat because i know i have to so i force down dinner but all i have an appetite for is sweet treats. Jam on toast, choc, sweets, ice cream, croissants, very cold fruit, squash drinks, milkshakes....hahaha this has gotten worse as the weeks have gone on! So i guess my craving is just anything sweet? Oh and cigarettes....(i dont smoke) but i am obsessed with cigarette smoke. i can smell it a mile off haahha

unicornchaser · 01/08/2018 16:48

They do say girls give a more sweet tooth/cravings but in saying that I'm having a boy and I am defo more into sweets & choc now than I used to be.....

Hahahahaha @milk!! Best thing I've heard all day, head butted in the fanny!
But yeah I've been getting booted in the bladder all afternoon which is muchly unpleasant!

Spent the afternoon with a friend and her 11 month old. Makes me feel a lot more confident that I've just got to get through the first 6/7 months of fear and then I should be ok! Maybe......

I've eaten two kinds of cake today, can't seem to resist. Also today I discovered I have to use up all my holiday before my maternity leave so next week will be my last week at work 🎆😀 🎉

Flamingo19 · 01/08/2018 19:23

Does anyone else find they are mega uncomfortable sitting upright? I have to be slouched backwards in order to feel like I can be comfortable and breathe properly?!

RembeccaM · 02/08/2018 04:12

@ladydolly @tinyterror1 @twobambinos
Thank you for your support Flowers, I'm hoping that the doctor's appointment can give me some guidance to make some changes.

justtowarm · 02/08/2018 06:32

@Havetothink me tooo, my last shift is next Friday and I can't wait :)

TinyTerror1 · 02/08/2018 10:41

@Flamingo19 I find it varies depending on baby's position. Have you tried sitting up with your legs wide apart so your bump can drop a bit? (don't try this if you have PGP obviously) They do start encroaching on our lungs more now so it might be a permanent thing but I hope it eases for you x

Havetothink · 02/08/2018 18:06

Urgh, wrestling a screaming toddler into a car seat whilst whale sized in 30° heat is definitely not my idea of fun, she's usually so good, I'm blaming the heat. Does anyone else feel like their bump has already dropped?

unicornchaser · 02/08/2018 18:21

Oh dear @Havetothink, tomorrow is a new day and hopefully she will be back to her compliant self! Can't believe the heat is still so bad for some people! I count myself lucky that it's dropped back to drizzly/overcast 18-22 where I am!

I got told on Monday I am carrying really high. I was like 'uh am I?' But I don't feel like I'm low carrying so must be! Though to be fair I'm not due till right at the end of the month so a few weeks behind you still

OP posts:
Havetothink · 02/08/2018 20:10

She's definitely sinking, feels like my bump has tripled in weight overnight and I'm getting kicked and poked in places I wasn't before. At least she's heading in the right direction. I'm willing this one to come a little earlier than the last one so I can avoid induction.

twobambinos · 02/08/2018 21:37

No bump dropping here and the horrible heartburn is in full swing. I'm also willing this one to come a little early 37 weeks would do me just fine little baby if you are listening. Hmm

unicornchaser · 02/08/2018 21:46

I do feel that I am getting kicked lower now, mainly against my bladder but I'm putting that down to baby just being bigger.....

FromMaddieToMommie · 02/08/2018 22:22

Hi ladies, I haven't been on this for a while and feel like I've missed on so much. Today we've had our cot delivered and now that it's all up I just can't wait for baby to be here!! 16th October seems like ages away even though -as some of you have mentioned - people always comment on how there's not long left now. I also sympathise with those of you being told "you've gotten big". Urgh ! Someone told me today my face looks fat. Thanks ?!
My baby is a real squirmer. It's lovely feeling and seeing it move, even though sometimes it makes me feel so queasy. At least it's letting me know it's doing okay so it's all forgiven.
Hope you're all keeping cool. I'm not particularly looking forward to the hot weekend forecasted!

justtowarm · 03/08/2018 02:29

I just need to share, I'm working a night shift, it's just me alone in an office at the mo and I have the air con full blast..... best temperature I have felt in weeks 😂😂😂👌🏻
