@Velcro88 I think I'm just going to tell people as it's friends who are a huge part of our life.

We've told my parents now who are most important so I'm not too worried about other people in our life. I should get my scan date through for next week or the week after too which gives me a little more confidence too.

fanks · 07/08/2018 21:05

Hi everyone
Think I'm due at end of March which puts me around 7 weeks, planning on a private scan at 8 weeks then I will book in.

Had miscarriage at beginning of year at about 6/7 weeks so feeling a bit anxious!

Feeling totally rubbish at mo, feeling sick a lot and horrid taste in my mouth!

Lovely to see all the scan photos

SquirtlesMumAgain · 07/08/2018 21:24

Chatterboxes!

Great scan @wineandchoccy - lovely when they look like tiny people rather than blobs.

Still horribly sick here - just eating what I can, and mostly staying down. Really bloated too, which isn't great.

Wineandchoccy · 07/08/2018 21:33

SquirtlesMumAgain The bloating is ridiculous I look 6 months gone

coastergirl · 07/08/2018 22:04

Hi, just an update from me. I started bleeding a little bit yesterday morning. Went into hospital as planned. Answered a million questions from lots of different people. Then they did a speculum examination which took them 3 attempts. Then an internal examination which bloody hurt. Then they took bloods. Had to go back this morning for an internal scan. My bloods were ok but not great. The scan showed that the gestational sac has grown a bit since Saturday and is in the right place. But still totally doesn't add up with my dates. Back tomorrow morning for repeat bloods to see if the hormone levels have gone up enough. But I've had heavy bleeding all day today and period type pain. Boobs are still killing me though.

Ultimately I think it's all over, but don't have a definitive answer yet. No idea what's going on!

ladycarlotta · 07/08/2018 22:24

oh @coastergirl that sounds so dispiriting and worrying. And all the examinations! I hope it works out OK but either way do try to take care of yourself. What a rough time.

Angelmiracle · 07/08/2018 22:24

@coastergirl hun I am so sorry you are going through this really really hoping for you that baby will be ok xx Take care 💕

This thread is totally getting away from me but @Orville82 good luck with the scan tomorrow - hope it's reassuring. As for the sickness playing silly buggers, these things were sent to try us.

orangekitkat13 · 07/08/2018 22:46

@coastergirl that must be so worrying for you. I hope that everything is ok.

Pearcrumble · 07/08/2018 22:47

@coastergirl really sorry to hear you're going through a worrying difficult time, thinking of you and hoping you get positive answers tomorrow

Marmite2018 · 08/08/2018 09:06

@coastergirl so sorry to hear that. I hope things look brighter today. Sending love and positive thoughts.

Newbie2703 · 08/08/2018 09:19

Should I be worried that I suddenly don't feel sick this morning :/ and I actually managed breakfast and a cup of tea ! It feels great but now I can't help but worry. I'm 7 weeks so I didn't expect it to just disappear.

Bluebelltulip · 08/08/2018 09:31

FX for you coastergirl.

Newbie2703 mine lulled me into a false sense of security at 7 weeks back now at 8 weeks. Hope yours is gone though.

ladycarlotta · 08/08/2018 09:56

@Newbie2703 don't worry! It's fluctuated a bit for me. I had one day when I felt absolutely fantastic - it didn't last.

meant to say yay @Velcro88 @thewanderlust hope telling people goes well. It's been really lovely coming clean with the people we're close to.

Mortgage rumbles on - the document they said they needed was not actually the document they needed and I don't have that. BUT, in an 11th-hour twist, the mortgage we were offered is about to be withdrawn so apparently the broker can try to rush through an application without the full paperwork up front. So we're still in the game. All accountants are on holiday rn so there'll be no getting hold of the paperwork I need til nearly the end of the month. I'm trying to let it wash over me - I can't do any more than I'm doing so no point stressing.

wordsmithereens · 08/08/2018 10:38

@coastergirl Sorry to hear your news. Will keep fingers tightly crossed for you. Flowers

BadBadBeans · 08/08/2018 11:43

@coastergirl so sorry to hear you've been having a rough time. I think sometimes it is harder not knowing for sure whether it might be okay or not. Hope you get something definitive soon.

@ladycarlotta fingers crossed for your 11th hour mortgage then! You're right, there is no point in stressing - but that is easier said than done!

Had a lovely morning with DS getting him new shoes and some crafty bits to play with this afternoon. However on the way back to the car, he announced, 'No home. Nursery!' Obviously I'm not as much fun!!!!

Orville82 · 08/08/2018 14:50

@coastergirl I hope you get some definitive answers today. It must me horrible being left in limbo like that. X

Orville82 · 08/08/2018 14:56

I’m relieved to say that my scan went well. We have a strong heartbeat of 155bpm and measures 1.64cm. He went into great detail about the amniotic sac and surrounding area (can’t remember the medical term) looking really defined and healthy which is a great sign. Blob measured 8wks which is over a week less than based on my LMP but DS was exactly the same so I know that’s just my body. And we get a cheeky free second scan if we have it within two weeks. So happy!

ladycarlotta · 08/08/2018 15:02

@Orville82 yay! That's such great news! I'm so pleased for you. Nice to have another scan if you want it too - do you think you'll take them up on it?

Orville82 · 08/08/2018 15:12

ladycarlotta Er yeah! 😂 Free scan! Seriously though we’re due to go away for four nights with friends on the 27th and are provisionally booked in for our scan on the 22nd so will be lovely to be able to tell people with little uncertainty that we are pregnant and it’s all going well as apposed to attempting to hide it (no chance) or still being nervous that it’s “too soon”.

ladycarlotta · 08/08/2018 15:19

@Orville82 woohoo! Didn't wan't to assume, not everybody is as uncoolly keen on scans as I am. Hooray for getting to tell people!

HidCat · 08/08/2018 15:21

@coastergirl I'm so sorry things aren't looking good. I hope you've been able to get some answers today.

@BadBadBeans My DS is missing school too lol. I take it to be a good thing tbh.

I've had my scan date through - August 30th. 3 weeks to go and can't decide if I'm excited or terrified. Something tells me it will be more of the latter nearer the time. 😬 I also managed to find the breakfast cereal I've been dying to get hold of - Kellogg's Start mmmmmmm.

MistakenHoliday · 08/08/2018 15:24

@coastergirl hoping for the best outcome for you and sending you all the positive vibes c

@ladycarlotta fingers crossed on the mortgage for you! I have a friend who's currently in completion/exchange limbo and it's driving her mad!

@Orville82 that's lovely news about the scan! I'm still waiting for my letter for the 12 week scan (I'm 11 weeks today) and am getting VERY tempted at the thought of getting my own!

sherbertdibdab · 08/08/2018 16:18

@HidCat my scan is on the same day, sneaks in on the last day of my summer holiday so don't have to make excuses at work which is good.

@coastergirl hope is all ok, thinking of you today

coastergirl · 08/08/2018 16:22

Hormone levels have gone down so it's a miscarriage. Good luck to you all.
