@Wineandchoccy what a great scan! No mistaking that for a little human is there! Glad all was well x

@Murphyrocks your lunch looks great! You're giving me hope that I can eat more than bland beigeness soon. I did have grapes earlier so that's a start!

wordsmithereens · 06/08/2018 15:12

@murphyrocks Don't think I've found crudites this inspirational before. I miss veg! Do you still have aversions, out of curiosity?

ladycarlotta · 06/08/2018 15:20

@Wineandchoccy such an amazing scan! I can't believe how baby-ish it looks! Congratulations.

@PearCrumble the sickness is just horrible, full stop. I doubt you're being a diva. I don't know how ill you need to be to get signed off work, but I wouldn't blame anyone for trying to make it a bit easier for themselves, because it really is horrid and we do deserve a bit of support! I feel incredibly fortunate that I work from home so can work around my nausea and tiredness. Hope you can come up with a solution.

Murphyrocks · 06/08/2018 15:24

@wordsmithereens yes I'm still very much up and down with food, this was amazing today but tomorrow the idea of it will probably turn my stomach! DH made the most amazing rice salad yesterday which I loved for dinner but couldn't face the leftovers today. Just trying to eat what I can when I can and fx it's as healthy as possible. I usually order food deliveries from ocado but at the moment I'm just shopping for a few bits most days as I don't know what I'm going to want from one day to the next!

TeaRexx · 06/08/2018 17:19

@wordsmithereens that pic is just so cute! I haven’t slept properly in a while, very broken sleep... but yes all good training!

puravida31 · 06/08/2018 17:44

@wineandchoccy that’s a wonderful scan! And the most baby looking I think we’ve seen so far!

Pearcrumble · 06/08/2018 17:48

@murphyrocks that looks sooo good! I have faith that colourful food will be on the horizon for me soon.

@ladycarlotta thanks for the non diva vote! Luckily I am just working part-time, three days a week, self employed as well. So I have ample rest I guess. I'm a gardener and the work is often quite heavy though in this heat so I thought going down to three days would be less stressful for me (I never quite shook the worry that I contributed to the early loss by doing too much heavy work, though I know that is almost definitely nothing to do with it!)

Orville82 · 06/08/2018 18:08

Congratulations on your offer @ladycarlotta.

Wow @Wineandchoocy that scan picture I sent a beauty. We’re all insanely jealous!

@Murphyrocks I’m glad that your HG seems to have subsided at least. I have a couple of now friends from my 2015 group who were in such a mess with it. I really feel for you.

I’ve just had a 2 hour nap Shock. Fortunately DH is home so sent me upstairs after I hit the wall earlier and he looked after DS. I’ve just woken up feeling sick as a dog though probably due to sleeping in the heat as much as anything. I’m still clinging on to the fact it’s baby related even though I don’t really have any nausea. I’m getting myself worked up about my scan on Wednesday now because of it but I’d rather know sooner rather than later if something is amiss.

Angelmiracle · 06/08/2018 18:44

@wineandchoccy beautiful scan pic of your little babe you must be delighted!

Congrats on the house offer @ladycarlotta we built our new house over 3 years and thankfully we've been in a year now!

@Orville82 nausea kicked in yesterday for me and I took a nap for 30mins and woke up feeling so sick!! Took a while coming round had to force some toast.

@Wineandchoccy that scan pic is amazing!!!! My 9+6 is no where near as clear xxxx

Angelmiracle · 06/08/2018 18:49

You will never believe my sis is visiting from oz on Wednesday she doesn't know my news. She text my mum yesterday that she had a dream that I came to collect her from the airport and told her I was pregnant 😂 What are the chances lol! She said to DM she wouldn't tell me about it as it may upset me (we've been 5 years ttc dc2)! My brother is collecting her and I thought maybe I could hide in the back of the car and surprise her lol!

@Angelmiracle that's so funny/fabulous!! You should definitely go, that will be a lovely way to surprise her x

wordsmithereens · 06/08/2018 19:04

@murphyrocks Yeah, I've been the same, lots of little bits here and there which is annoying from a budgeting perspective. But no point getting fresh food in if it'll just be wasted! I feel a bit bad for DH as well, he's pretty much been banned from cooking normal food now for a few weeks.

@angelmiracle Wow, that's some intuition right there. I bet she'll be hugely excited when you get to tell her. :)

pushit · 06/08/2018 19:10

Gorgeous pic @Wineandchoccy - so good to have the reassurance all is well. And so baby like. ❤️

Shampooeeee · 06/08/2018 19:24

Congratulations @ladycarlotta exciting times ahead.

Welcome @pearcrumble glad the scan has reassured you.

Wow, what a brilliant scan photo @wineandchoccy

@Angelmiracle that’s so cool! Your sister has special skills. You should ask her to predict the sex.

I had a 3 hour nap this afternoon. Woke up to a few missed calls and emails (I normally work while DS sleeps) but nothing urgent. I feel so much better now!

MistakenHoliday · 06/08/2018 19:28

@Wineandchoccy that is SUCH a lovely scan!

@ladycarlotta congratulations on the offer!

I've made a doctors appointment about my sickness, it's horrific at the moment, especially at the start of the week. TMI, but sometimes I'm wrenching so much there's flecks of - fresh - blood in it 🤢😱

Marmite2018 · 06/08/2018 19:45

@Wineandchoccy what an amazing scan. I'm super jealous. Not sure I can wait two and a bit more weeks to see mine!!!

Welcome @Pearcrumble and @Angelmiracle I can't wait to hear how it all goes down!

I'm feeling brighter today than yesterday, have kept myself distracted all day seeing a friend and her baby so that's helped a lot. So tricky not blurting out my news, I think she'll be so shocked when I tell her now!

frenchgal · 06/08/2018 20:13

I am 10+6. Just found out the sex of the baby (i did a panorama test)- it's a boy.
Tbh, I had always wanted a girl and pictures myself being a mother to a girl so it was a bit of a surprise. I think it will take me a few days to adjust to the news. Also, travelling again this week in Sub Saharan Africa for work and suffering from nausea and dizziness, which doesn't help.

@Wineandchoccy what a great scan !!!

Nightmanagerfan · 06/08/2018 20:19

@angelmiracle that’s so lovely for your sister’s dream to come true! Definitely find some way of surprising her.

We went to a friend’s for lunch yesterday - when we arrive she shouted “Congratulations!!” And jumped up and down (in front of about 15 people). She then realised our faces were looking pretty confused and I was trying to find out if DH had told her (but we haven’t told anyone so that would have been odd). She thought I was pregnant and was really confused when we denied it. Can’t wait to tell her she was right in a few weeks...

I went back to work today after holiday and the air conditioned office did me the world of good. I felt so much better and even made and ate a curry, washed down with a Becks Blue... almost feel like a new woman!

Wineandchoccy · 06/08/2018 20:22

frenchgal lovely news, trust me once he is here you won’t care whether the baby is a boy or girl

Murphyrocks · 06/08/2018 20:50

@frenchgal I know what you mean, my family is quite boy heavy so I was hoping for a girl first time around, but ds is the most loving, sweet, low-maintenance child and I wouldn't change him for the world! It's natural to experience a bit of gender disappointment, tbh I'll probably have some myself if this baby turns out to be another boy, but as long as he's happy and healthy I won't mind and I'm sure you won't either once you've had some time to get your head around it.

hamandpease · 06/08/2018 21:29

Do you guys carry your mat notes with you everywhere?

I got a light telling off today I didn't have them with me when I called to schedule an appointment, I didn't realise I was supposed to carry them around every day 🤷🏼‍♀️

HidCat · 06/08/2018 21:32

@MistakenHoliday that sounds horrific, I hope doc can help!

@frenchgal it's amazing you've found out so early! Boys are fab, you'll love it!

@Nightmanagerfan well played! That could have been awful but sounds like you got away with it. I can't believe your friend did that though!

Murphyrocks · 06/08/2018 21:51

Good call @MistakenHoliday that doesn't sound right, hope they can give you something.

@hamandpease they get rather pissy if you don't have them with you at appointments, and you're meant to carry them round with you towards the end in case you go into labour, but not all the way through!

peonylover22 · 06/08/2018 21:53

@frenchgal it’s okay to be a bit disappointed/ confused at this point. I have a little boy and he’s such a pal. A bit wild but very affectionate and cuddly when he’s exhausted himself. It’s good that you’ve found out now, lots of time to adjust to the idea before the birth. Were the rest of the test results as you’d hoped?
