@Sarahandduckarehigh sorry you've got bad nausea I'm 6+2 & kind of waiting for it to kick in as had it with DS but not too bad ever so slightly queasy.

@shampooeee glad the scan went well fx this one stays cosy in there 🤞

@sherbertdibdab hopefully they don't keep you too long!

My mouth has been dry I'm reaching for the Apple juice!

I have switched from early rising last week to not going over at night and cannot rise in the morning Confused

My boobs are so huge it's uncomfortable sleeping on my tummy. Looking at preg pillows already.

Tagging @Cas90 as she posted on the old full thread.

MoosterTheMoose · 31/07/2018 12:49

shampooeee what a horrible experience - fingers crossed for you this time.

Just had my panorama scan and test, have to wait a week for the results, hopefully all is ok. Scan itself all looked good, saw the little bean wriggling around!

I'm working at home today, and am very tempted to go to bed for an hour... I'm finding it almost impossible to concentrate because of the sickness and I've done all of the things on my list that required no brainpower Sad

RachaelT · 31/07/2018 13:12

I bought my body pillow at that stage @Angelmiracle it's now a fixture to the point we've named it "Donald Plump" not quite sure why, my DH came up with it!

It's actually this as it's a lot cheaper than pregnancy pillows and seems to be working! www.dunelm.com/product/dorma-full-forever-bolster-medium-support-pillow-1000047412

TheOneWithTheBaby · 31/07/2018 13:21

Would pregnancy pillows help with boobs? Mine are so sore at the moment.

@monstsrthemoose, would anyone from your work know if you had a quick snooze? If not I'd totally do it. You might feel better afterwards.

ladycarlotta · 31/07/2018 13:30

@RachaelT Donald Plump! That's hysterical.

Does it help, then? My boobs are so uncomfortable, especially at night when I just can't get comfortable with them. I thought DP would like them but I think he's a bit freaked out by them - he says they're over-firm! No pleasing some people...

RachaelT · 31/07/2018 13:31

@TheOneWithTheBaby I find it helps as much as it gives the upper one support when side sleeping, it's also given me something to cuddle that isn't a furnace In this heat like DH.

Out of curiosity, am I the only one who's just waiting for the NHS 12 week scan? I'm very jealous of all these early pictures but hoping we'll get to see more the first time we see him/her which will be more exciting.

RachaelT · 31/07/2018 13:33

Hahaha @ladycarlotta - my DH says they're getting bigger than his hand can hold so they're starting to be wasteful! He keeps noticing changes to that area more than anything else... how peculiar?!?

puravida31 · 31/07/2018 13:37

@RachaelT we’re also trying to wait until the NHS 12 week scan, but I’m getting serious scan envy of all these pictures! Not long to go now though!

Marmite2018 · 31/07/2018 13:39

@RachaelT we're also waiting but it does make me nervous. Can't wait. Don't have a date yet but my booking in is next week so hopefully soon x

Murphyrocks · 31/07/2018 13:44

@RachaelT we waiting until 12 weeks last time but I drove myself a bit crazy with the wait so decided to do the earlier one this time around. It was an amazing experience though!

I just got my pregnancy pillow yesterday and slept like a dream last night for the first time in weeks! So much more comfortable for the back/belly/boobs. Happy to recommend mine if anyone wants a link but it was pretty pricy at £60! Spent £30 last time but this one's sooo much better...

BadBadBeans · 31/07/2018 13:50

@Shampooeeee glad the scan went well. Sorry to hear about your last one; I agree, it is very unlikely you would be that unlucky twice.

Guys, I feel so rough. I did a very light gym session and then went to the supermarket, where I went up and down the aisles looking for anything that I could bear the thought of eating. Ended up with a basket full of crap, and then had to tear into the big pack of tortilla chips and sour cream and chive dip right there in the car park. Made me feel better for a while, but then the sick feeling came back and wiped me out. I've been lying in bed for ages. TOTAL waste of a day of DS being at nursery. I'm gutted! Feeling a bit better now, which means I've got three hours to be productive before I have to go and pick him up again. Anyone else really struggling to do anything? I work freelance so it's okay to an extent for me to shift stuff around in my self-imposed timetable, but I've got a lot on next month and I am feeling a bit daunted!

ladycarlotta · 31/07/2018 14:00

@BadBadBeans yep, freelance here and still totally struggling to get shit done. I should at least be getting all the sedentary admin/paperwork stuff sorted, but I find it so hard to concentrate while I'm feeling so ill. Spending a lot of time in bed.

I keep having stern words with myself about just accepting this is how it is right now, and getting on with it, but it's still making me miserable. Well done on the gym, by the way, I have totally given up on swimming lately as it wipes me out. Bloody hope the next trimester is better; I have loads to do before the baby arrives. So impressed you are also wrangling a toddler.

RachaelT · 31/07/2018 14:03

Not struggling to do stuff @BadBadBeans but dodging tasks at work...

Like yesterday we started a new theme in our showroom having been in summer sale until Sunday. This means moving furniture & lights, painting and hanging messaging (all of which are jobs I normally do - the only girl in the store happy lifting sofas and rewiring a plug up a 4m ladder. Yesterday I painted some walls & plinths, moved some dining chairs and used a set of wheels to push a dining table with a colleague (he'd lifted it onto the wheels). I feel useless but don't want risk anything!

hamandpease · 31/07/2018 14:19

Hi everyone, this thread moves fast! Need to catch up with it all

I'm still nauseous, last threw up Sunday morning but boobs seem to have gone down a bit

I've booked another scan for tomorrow when I'll be 9+6 (last one was at 8+1)

I'm sure I'm being stupid or I'm just over tired but just have this feeling of worry today Confused

orangekitkat13 · 31/07/2018 14:24

@RachaelT we're waiting for the NHS 12 scan. Although I keep thinking about doing an early one, so scared about a mcc though.

Angelmiracle · 31/07/2018 14:27

@RachaelT Thanks for the link it looks good. It would suit our superking to fill the gap in the middle too lol.

What one did you get @Murphyrocks? Grin
I'm another one waiting on the standard dating scan! I'll be 11+2

I have to tell few immediate family before that scan which I don't like not having done but it's family I'd want to know regardless.

@ladycarlotta @Badbadbeans I am wiped too DS and I only got dressed an hour ago. Was supposed to be taking him for new football boots today happily letting him on YouTube for the time being 😪🙈

TheOneWithTheBaby · 31/07/2018 14:28

@RachelT, that sounds good. I might start looking into them. I have no pregnancy belly yet (just fat haha) but my boobs could do with some support. Do you have it between your breast then to support the top one?

@murphyrocks, could you link to yours please?

My DH hasn't said anything about my boobs. I think because they are so sore he knows he can't touch anyway, so he has no interest haha. They've not become much bigger yet and my bras still fit me for now. But as I'm on holiday I'm enjoying not having to wear one all the time

Velcro88 · 31/07/2018 14:31

@RachaelT @puravida31 @Marmite2018 I'm also trying to stick it out til the 12 week scan - which is booked for 21 Aug. Got three weeks to go and I'm desperate for it after seeing all the happy beans on here!

@hamandpease good luck with the scan tomorrow. I'm actually almost feeling like I can't possibly be pregnant at the moment.... not sure what I think all the nausea/fatigue is in aid of if I'm not, but it feels so mental that there might be a wriggly little bean in there that I can't feel. Hope all goes well tomorrow for you!

angel0071987 · 31/07/2018 14:34

@RachaelT we are holding out for nhs scan although haven't yet got date yet despite having had booking appointment. Thinking it'll be towards the 14week Mark and I'm
Getting envious of all the scan pics here!! Plus really want to know it's ok and in right place given my previous mc's.

Wineandchoccy · 31/07/2018 14:38

Has anybody else been prescribed iron after the bloods taken st the booking in appointment? I’m so constipated, tmi Blush

BadBadBeans · 31/07/2018 14:39

@ladycarlotta @RachaelT sorry you guys feel awful, but I'm relieved it's not just me. (Sounds like you're managing quite a bit though Rachael!) I said to my brother over the phone this morning that I just hate being so unproductive. He laughed and said that actually, I was technically being about as productive as a human gets...!

I'm hoping the next trimester is better too. I do remember the sickness was totally gone by week 11 with my son. But, another month of this?!?!?! Argh! The only reason I'm coping with my toddler is that he does two days in nursery and that is just enough for me to recharge my batteries, so to speak. I must admit though I did start wondering yesterday how on earth (why on earth?!?!) people manage to have three or more kids... I can't even begin to imagine feeling this sick with two kids to look after!

Marmite2018 · 31/07/2018 14:46

@Wineandchoccy I haven't but there is iron in my pregnancy vit and oh my god I am also so constipated. Sorry if it's TMI!

HidCat · 31/07/2018 14:46

@RachaelT I'm waiting for the 12week scan as well. I haven't had my appointment through yet but last time it came through at wrk 8 so hopefully it will arrive soon.

@BadBadBeans I'd say testing is no waste of a day, if that's what you needed it's nice to be able to do it!

My neck is really painful atm, I might need new regular pillows, I have my old pg pillow and that's great but so many muscle twinges.

I had a weird thing with my weight today. I weighed myself yesterday and for some reason did agin today and I was 4lb lighter! I had the squits yesterday but I didn't think it had been that bad! Has anyone else had fluctuations like this?

thefirsttimer · 31/07/2018 14:50

@Shampooeeee great news on your scan! It's such a relief to see them wriggling away in there isn't it!

Sorry to those of you who are feeling awful. I seem to be having a pattern of one better day followed by a day from hell at the moment Envy. Also feeling the thirst! Finding only very icy water can quench it at the moment.
