@Bas27 are you due on 24th? 6 weeks today! I've started to feel really queasy like I've something stuck in my throat. Can only eat very bland food made a whole Sunday lunch ended up with plain mash 😂

Nightmanagerfan · 29/07/2018 18:15

Hello all, just checking in as I’ve been quiet (but still reading your posts). Sorry to hear of bleeding and some feeling unwell.

I’m 6+3 (I think, might not be quite that far along), and so far have only experienced some tiredness and bloating. I terminated a pregnancy in April for medical reasons so I’m finding it hard to embrace any excitement about this pregnancy just yet. I’m sure I’ll get there.

Anyone who has or is planning on having the Harmony/Iona/panorama test - when have you had it and do you then pass the results on to the NHS at the 12 week scan? If I have it and they find an issue how does it work booking in for a termination via the NHS? (I apologise if this upsets anyone - we are utterly cautious and partly expecting the worst because of what happened in my previous pregnancy.) thanks in advance

peonylover22 · 29/07/2018 19:17

@nightmanagerfan I’m sorry to hear about your previous experience; that must have been extremely difficult for you. I had Panorama last time at 9 weeks exactly which turned out to be too early to get a decent sample so was repeated at 11 weeks. I passed the results to the NHS at my “12 week scan” which was actually at 13 weeks. I don’t know how you would go about arranging a medical termination though, I’m afraid.
Plan to do the same this time but go at 9+4

Nightmanagerfan · 29/07/2018 19:21

Thanks for replying @peonylover22 i actually just realised I should have posted that question in antenatal tests.

Thanks for the info - I am not entirely sure on dates as my cycle was messed up so I might go slightly later for the test as you advise.

Heavy bleeding just started now. Good luck everyone, don't think it is going to be good news for us

livelytania · 29/07/2018 20:02

Hello everyone :) Just joining in at 6+2 with a due date of March 22nd. I'm 37 and this is my first (had a couple mc about 10 yrs ago and took a long break lol). So excited!!! (and trying not to be too nervous). Nice to meet everyone

If there's a facebook group would love to join in!

Rockmum30 · 29/07/2018 20:11

@SquirtlesMumAgain so sorry to hear hat got everything crossed for you!

ladycarlotta · 29/07/2018 20:20

So sorry @squirtlesmumagain. Hoping it's OK.

BadBadBeans · 29/07/2018 20:29

@SquirtlesMumAgain I'm so sorry. Hope you have someone looking after you. Please take it as easy as you can x

@Nightmanagerfan I had the Harmony at 14 weeks last time after I wasn't too happy with the NHS odds I received from screening. The consultant wrote a report which was passed to my midwife and added to my notes. I think she did say if it had been bad news she would have liaised with my midwife service for me. Would be worth asking when you book? I will be having the Harmony earlier this time, at 10.5 weeks - going to wait the extra half week to try to avoid a redraw like @peonylover22. Aside from anything else I'm rubbish with blood so would like to keep draws to a minimum... x

@Bas27 I find it changes all the time. I couldn't stomach bread right now. Sucking on crystallized ginger instead. I remember when I was pregnant the first time just walking up and down the supermarket aisles, looking at all the food, trying to find something that I could stand the idea of eating!

MistakenHoliday · 29/07/2018 20:35

Am keeping Worthing crosses for you @SquirtlesMumAgain x

livelytania · 29/07/2018 20:41

@SquirtlesMumAgain so sorry to hear this. Hoping for the best for you xx

livelytania · 29/07/2018 20:47

Thanks @Angelmiracle, sounds like you could be in store for a nice birthday present!

I’m at 6+2 I think. Wishing the symptoms would kick in a little more to give me peace of mind. So far I’ve been feeling pretty tired, having to wee about 3 times a night, and feeling dizzy when I stand up. Very very mild queasiness.

wordsmithereens · 29/07/2018 20:48

Thinking of you @SquirtlesMumAgain and wishing you all the best. Flowers

thefirsttimer · 30/07/2018 04:49

Thinking of you @SquirtlesMumAgain fingers crossed for you Thanks

thefirsttimer · 30/07/2018 04:54

We got to see our little jumping bean yesterday, looking very much baby-like and measuring a whopping 2.77cm! It's amazing how much they grow and change at this early stage, at our first scan less than two weeks ago he/she was just 1.23cm and decidedly blob like!

Newbie2703 · 30/07/2018 05:29

People that are getting early tests done, are they being done at the early private scans?

@livelytania I would say I'm pretty much the same symptom wise with really huge veiny boobs and major bloat at night. A lot of foods don't appeal and certain smells aren't completely turning me though I smell everything Grin

ladycarlotta · 30/07/2018 08:52

@thefirsttimer ooh, fantastic! That's bloody huge, how far along are you? I read somewhere that they grow roughly 1mm a day at this stage, which has been pretty consistent with my two scans. No wonder we are tired.

mostimproved · 30/07/2018 08:54

Hi all, just to update I have unfortunately had a mmc so I'm out. Had it confirmed by scan so just waiting for next steps. Wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies 💜

ladycarlotta · 30/07/2018 09:01

@mostimproved I'm so sorry. Lots of love to you.

Orville82 · 30/07/2018 09:04

Oh @mostimproved I’m so sorry. I hope the coming days aren’t too difficult for you. Look after yourself. X

@SquirtlesMumAgain I have everything crossed that it’s still just a false alarm. X
