@Wineandchoccy yummy! I made slimming world steak burgers- no bap but had baked potato beans and cheese then decided we needed dessert made fairy cakes lol 😄

@Wanderlust that's horrendous for you! We were delayed 4hrs on way over to Majorca but it's worse delayed coming home!

@Jenlou1992 I will finish at end of Feb 4 weeks before - prob with A/L mostly. I took 3 weeks before DS couldn't rise in the mornings with lack of sleep and was waddling everywhere but he was 9lb9oz no wonder!🙈

@frenchgal what an amazing scan! You've got an actual little baby in there, yay!

So glad all was okay on your scans too @Sarahandduckarehigh and @toastfiend

Were they internal or external scans can I ask @frenchgal and @toastfiend?

thefirsttimer · 28/07/2018 22:47

Bloody bold fail yet again! Don't mind my baby brain over here guys, nothing to see. Hmm

SquirtlesMumAgain · 29/07/2018 07:47

Sorry had visitors. Bleeding started again yesterday but is reddy/pink this time. Quite thin and mucusy but still terrifying.
I poas this morning and it is still showing positive and I still feel sick and boobs hurt. Out EPAU only takes GP referrals and you can't take older children so guess I have to call tomorrow and hope they give me something for Tuesday so DH can take the day off.

When it comes to bras please don't listen to m&s!!!! Comfort is important but if you don't have a supportive band your boobs will hurt more. Your tight underbust (tape pulled so tight it might snap) plus 2 or 3 inches to get an even number is plenty, just need to ensure the cup size is big enough!

Orville82 · 29/07/2018 08:46

@SquirtlesMumAgain yes I agree about bras. I’m a member of Boob or Bust on fb and they say exactly the same.

I really hope that the bleeding stops soon for you to give you a bit of respite and relief. It’s good news that it’s not intense though.

RachaelT · 29/07/2018 09:03

Thanks for the tips @Orville82 & @SquirtlesMumAgain - just naturally went to M&S as I always buy undies from them 😊

Got some band extenders due from Amazon this week and hopefully they'll give my normal bras a bit more life for £2 - don't want to buy anything major until 2nd trimester unless I have to (already got a body pillow - although it's actually a firm bolster pillow for a king size bed, much cheaper - to make side sleeping more comfortable). The most comfy bra I have is a bralette but it's such a pain to put on as it's a pull on one; might dig out my old sports bra to see if better than underwire scaffolding!

Wineandchoccy · 29/07/2018 09:58

These were the comfiest maternity/nursing bras I had last time. I got mine in the sale I’m sure I paid around £15.

I think the time is definetly coming to invest in maternity bras! Thank you @Wineandchoccy for the link, i’ll have a browse.

Hope you have managed to get back @wanderlust?

The only news to report this end is I managed to stay out until midnight last night! MIDNIGHT!! But of course still awake by 7am this morning 😩

JessicaFirmin94 · 29/07/2018 10:58

Hey! I'm due on March 29th! I am 5 weeks and 2 days & really anxious as I had a miscarriage in April! Sad
I've been doing the clear blue digital tests and all 3 have said 1-2 weeks, it's been over two and a half weeks between the 1st and the 3rd ones I've done. Blush
It's really scary because all I've wanted my whole life is a baby.
Thank you!

ladycarlotta · 29/07/2018 11:29

@jessicafirmin94 step away from the digis!! That way madness lies. I think mine also said 1-2 weeks when I was about 5 weeks, and I let it stress me terribly but everything is fine. I'm 9 weeks now and measuring a few days earlier than I thought on my scans, but I don't know exactly when I ovulated so I really might have got pregnant a few days later than I thought.

Anyway, the digitals only seem to stress people out. Disregard it. And welcome to the group!

TheWanderlust · 29/07/2018 12:46

@puravida31 we made it back at 6am this morning Thankyou!!

This rain was a bit of a shock to the system though. Hope everyone's finding the cooler weather a little more manageable

ladycarlotta · 29/07/2018 13:24

@TheWanderlust I'm sorry about your horrible journey! Kind of gives your name a cruel irony. I hope you get very adequately compensated!

wordsmithereens · 29/07/2018 13:45

Saw little blob this morning! Strong heartbeat, you could see it fluttering away, and it's exactly the size it should be for 8 weeks 6 days (a whole 2mm!), so very reassured and excited. :) Even stoic as all DH cracked a smile. Eeeeeeh!

ladycarlotta · 29/07/2018 13:47

@wordsmithereens cutie!! Looks fantastic. And don't do yourself down - it's 2cm! Blows my mind that a month ago they were just the size of a poppyseed and now they are practically baby-shaped.

TheWanderlust · 29/07/2018 13:52

What a lovely scan picture @wordsmithereens

Angelmiracle · 29/07/2018 13:55

Beautiful scan @wordsmithereens how lovely 😊

OP posts:
frenchgal · 29/07/2018 14:05

@thefirsttimer this (9+3) scan was external but i also an early 7 weeks that was transvaginal.

wordsmithereens · 29/07/2018 14:16

Thanks guys! :) @ladycarlotta, definitely not doing myself down, I'm mostly seriously impressed how something so small has so much power to make you feel so crap. Grin And you're right, when you think about it it's amazing how rapidly they grow in the first few months. You could even see the hands!

MistakenHoliday · 29/07/2018 14:39

@wordsmithereens such a lovely picture!

Anyone else feel like the worst parent ever at the moment? 3yo DD has has been fed on a diet of Netflix and games I can play whilst not moving at the moment. If I'm not sick, I'm sleeping Sad

puravida31 · 29/07/2018 14:43

Fantastic scan @wordsmithereens congratulations!

pushit · 29/07/2018 15:20

@MistakenHoliday totally the same here. I keep thinking of it as an opportunity to practice not beating myself up. I know I'll feel so guilty for being tied up with the baby when they arrive so trying to not feel guilty for too much tv and napping. My little one has barely been out the last few days as I can't face it!!

Shampooeeee · 29/07/2018 15:45

I’ve found that of i manage to get out and about in the morning with DS then I feel much better.
He is watching more tv than normal MistakenHoliday and I’m spending a lot of time lying on his bed while he plays Duplo.
Pregnant with a toddler is hard work.

Wineandchoccy · 29/07/2018 16:24

We went to a shopping centre to hide from the rain but I felt dreadful really dizzy and nauseous so have took dd to soft play I’m sat reading a magazine whilst DH charges round with her

MistakenHoliday · 29/07/2018 16:34

@Shampooeeee @pushit I'm so glad it's not just me! We've been doing some late morning walks cos I still feel vaguely human then so I guess there's some balance. I'm sick of the sound of bloody Blippi though 😂

Bas27 · 29/07/2018 17:49

Congrats on the scans guys!
@Angelmiracle @Rockmum30 and @Jadeelx I'm also 5+6 today.

My symptoms are horrible! I'm so happy to have this baby and don't want to sound ungrateful but boy I feel rubbish.
My days have started to be spent alternating between sickness, tiredness and cramps. I can't think of anything food wise that doesn't make me want to throw up.
This is making it even harder to get a balanced diet.
@BadBadBeans I think you posted about bread! Glad you found something that is nice too eat. I was almost sick just thinking about bread.
