Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

So little dot is causing me to feel rather sick today... DH and I are enjoying our secret, I've not told work yet but have had to tell the manager of my football team as I was getting nagged about skipping training!
However, when pregnant with DD (14) I played 8 matches (as a goalkeeper) and trained every week until about 10 weeks, I had some bleeding and just assumed I'd had a very light period the first month. Didn't do DD any harm, she's currently about to start her GCSE courses at our local grammmar school. I had also carried on with my 21-year-old lifestyle up until that point. Wine
How's everyone doing this evening?

Treaclepie19 · 31/07/2018 19:37

I'm stressing a little bit over my lack of symptoms. I feel like they've faded.

I tested this morning again because I had to drop a sample at the doctors and it was much stronger but that hasn't really helped.

Congratulations everyone Flowers

Tootyfrooty it was really gentle- he'd only been having a bedtime feed for about 6 months (plus occasional pre-breakfast snack) and then dropped to once every few days, then once a week, and now it's been 6 weeks 😭 He was definitely on the young side to self wean at 2y4m but seems perfectly happy and to have forgotten all about it! He was still feeding when I was pregnant earlier this year and the drynursing gave me awful aversion so kinda glad he's given up now, but also kinda hoping he won't have completely forgotten his latch as sure he'll want to join in when (hopefully!) he sees baby doing it!

Good news awkward! Having a plan to hold on to is a good place to be x

Treaclepie19 · 31/07/2018 20:47

As I thought :( Not meant to be. I'm bleeding red blood and a fair bit of it.
I have no clue what to expect from a 4w/4+4 miscarriage. Guessing just a heavy period but I don't know. My other one was at 8+3.

Footymum81 · 31/07/2018 21:00

Oh @treaclepie19 so sorry to hear that. Hoping it's not as bad as it seems.

Pitterpatter01 · 31/07/2018 21:20

So sorry to hear this @Treaclepie19 xxx

BeeKeeping · 31/07/2018 21:36

So sorry @treaclepie19 😔 I’ll be thinking of you xx

PassTheAfterEights · 31/07/2018 21:54

@Treaclepie19 oh noo, so sorry. Huge hug. Had a 4+6 loss earlier this year, was like a heavy (heavy) period, 4 days - emotions were the hardest part. Hope you have some lovely support IRL
Thanks @Tootyfrooty35 intrigued about these forms & files! At this point I'd settle for a local GP..!
Welcome & congrats & FX @DumbledoresSocks
@Footymum81 enjoy it while it lasts :) at the moment it's just my little secret, DH home tomorrow and busting to tell. slash I know he will try hard not to get excited this time, or let me.

Feeling quite strong symptoms tonight, consistent with v v dark bfp line this morning (twice as dark as the control) but do not understand how can be more than 9dpo after last stupid non-ovulatory cycle. Feels like WEEKS to wait for a dating scan. tiny violins, honestly just delighted to be preggo, however preggo

Treaclepie19 · 31/07/2018 22:02

Thank you ladies.
I wish you all the best ❤

Fluffy475 · 31/07/2018 22:09

@Treaclepie19 hope you're ok and fingers crossed this isn't the worst xx

Treaclepie19 · 31/07/2018 22:16

Thank you, I'm just really sad.
It's slowed right down now but I'm not expecting anything good.

organised5 · 31/07/2018 22:34

@Treaclepie19 I'm sorry ☹️ sending hugs.

I had loads of symptoms last week and at the weekend which have subsided so I'm getting a bit anxious myself now.

Tootyfrooty35 · 31/07/2018 23:08

Quickly jumping in to say sorry treacle although that never feels enough :(

Off to bed, trying to go to sleep earlier but the peace and quiet of the wee small hours are a big attraction!

Treaclepie19 · 01/08/2018 05:46

Thank you ❤
It's pretty much stopped this morning but I can't see it being a good outcome after last night. It was like a light period. Nothing on my pad but bright red everytime I wiped.

Newbie2703 · 01/08/2018 05:55

Morning everyone, hope you don't mind me joining. Worked out my due date as 25th March but could be early April. 6 +2 today :) not many symptoms so far just started feeling slightly sick yesterday. First baby :) hope you are all well and not feeling too poorly :) are many people having early private scans or waiting for 12 week scan.

Littleloaf · 01/08/2018 05:58

@Treaclepie19 I'm so sorry to hear it. It does sound very light though; are you planning on going to the EPU today to see what they say?

Treaclepie19 · 01/08/2018 06:04

Congratulations newbie :)

Thank you @littleloaf*, our EPU doesn't do walk ins so I was planning to go to the gp. I am tempted to ring them though, they let me go in last time with my son.
I feel lile there's no point because it's just so early. They wouldn't see anything even if it was all okay.

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 01/08/2018 06:06

I’m so sorry treacle x you were there to hold my hand yesterday so hopefully we can do the same for you today x I’ve had very early miscarriages and later ones too, and the early ones for me were not noticeably different from a period, not painful thankfully but emotionally, yes very very difficult. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for you x
I feel a bit hopeless today. I’m driving myself mad, convinced my boobs feel deflated over the last few days and wishing I had some kind of definate symptom to hold onto. Dh said he feels useless Sad. I feel like I’ve already written this pregnancy off in my head and that makes me feel very guilty. I’m already wondering if we’ll try again. It’s brought up a lot of horrible unresolved feelings from our last miscarriages.

DumbledoresSocks · 01/08/2018 06:07

So sorry @Treaclepie19. I'd recommend going to EPU. They were good when I had my MMC.

BFN on a digital for me, but still faint lines on strip tests. Hoping I'm just a bit early and they'll get darker.

April 2019 Babies
Treaclepie19 · 01/08/2018 06:10

Thank you both.
I feel the same Awkward just wondering where we go from here.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for us all. I can't see things going well but if the bleeding stops then I guess that's a good sign.

Newbie2703 · 01/08/2018 06:27

Just read your posts treaclepie19 fingers crossed for you ! Hope you get a good outcome.

organised5 · 01/08/2018 12:35

Welcome @Newbie2703 🙂 to answer your question yes I am considering having a private 8 week scan - I just don't know how I can last waiting 12 weeks before getting some peace of mind! Are you considering it as well?

Newbie2703 · 01/08/2018 12:37

Yeah, I didn't even realise you can get early reassurance scans until I seen it on another post. And now I am really tempted. @organised5

Fluffy475 · 01/08/2018 13:15

I'd like to do an early scan but they're quite pricey round here, just don't think I want to wait until 12-14 weeks though!

firsttimemomtobe · 01/08/2018 14:17

My early scan is only costing £59! It's a really well recommended place. I've got my 6 week scan booked which will be next week then all going well we will book in for another at 9 weeks so will hopefully see little one at 6 & 9 then at 12 weeks via NHS. We couldn't wait 12 weeks, I'd be a bag of nerves xx
