Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

BFN this morning after yesterday’s bfp. I’m assuming that means yesterday was a fluke, or that it’s a chemical pregnancy Sad

Rapunzel91 · 15/08/2018 07:28

Hi everyone,

Im feeling like symptoms might start to get a bit stronger now, I can smell everyone’s perfume!

I have a feeling I’m having a boy. I want a girl as I have two sisters and loved being all girls and my DP already has two boys. I would love either but 3 boys is a lot so would be very excited for a girl.

TheMagicTorch · 15/08/2018 07:55

@Spanner91 so so sorry for your loss and hugs for your DH too.
I had an early miscarriage at 4 weeks in June, read lots online about being fertile straight away and just kept on trying as soon as the bleeding stopped. Didn't catch in July but here I am from August
It's quite a personal thing and it depends on how you feel about it - I still processed my loss and grieved but I also really wanted to be pregnant again and like you say at least you know you can get pregnant. Take care of yourself for the next couple of days ❤

LulaRose · 15/08/2018 08:01

@Spanner91 I'm feeling good. Nervous, but hoping this one will stick. As my last one was an early miscarriage (around 4.5w), I didn't feel the need to wait and no one advised me any differently. I just waited a week from the cramps and bleeding, and did another test to see if it was negative (it was). I ovulated exactly two weeks later. But as you say, it can be tough in terms of mental health, so do whatever feels right to you. It's definitely a good sign you were able to get pregnant. I hope you're doing ok, and keeping my fingers crossed you get a sticky bean soon.

Welcome new people! Hope we're all feeling ok today!

Welcome back @LulaRose that's amazing, keeping everything crossed for you.

Sorry to hear your news @Spanner91 xx

I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm having a girl this time round, my pg feels so different to when I had my boys and it can't all be age! Plus my dh was so keen to have a boy it will be Sod's law it's a girl!! I also wondered about twins as we're definitely only having one (I have two from previous relationship) and because of being an older bird it can be quite common as the body rushes to get rid of all the eggs that are left!! Who knows, waiting for my scan date so that will soon tell us if we're one or two!! Not finding out the sex though, I like the surprise at the end!

sachabloom · 15/08/2018 08:09

So sorry @Spanner91 for you and your other half. Glad to hear you are keen to try again you sound super strong ❤️

I've had a bit of bleeding and cramping this morning, trying to keep calm but it's very hard! I've already been to the hospital once for bleeding and there wasn't much they could do so I think I'll just stay at work and monitor it and cross my fingers xxx

Treaclepie19 · 15/08/2018 08:10

Hi new ladies!
Welcome back @LulaRose :)

Well I just heaved changing a pooey nappy so I guess I can't keep pretending I'm not nauseous.

Beaglemum93 · 15/08/2018 08:15

So sorry for your loss @Spanner91 :(

Congratulations @LulaRose!

organised5 · 15/08/2018 08:20

Welcome back @LulaRose I was wondering where you had gone. Glad you're back and fingers crossed for you this time xx

NorthernGirl1991 · 15/08/2018 08:21

Work is going to be fun today....got up five times in the night to use the bathroom/get food/get a drink Sad

SPR1107 · 15/08/2018 08:22

Sorry to hear that @Spanner91 x

Congratulations @LulaRose wishing you all the best x

SPR1107 · 15/08/2018 08:23

DS got up at 4.30am this morning, and now I've got to do a full day at work.. the tiredness was and enough without loosing two hours sleep

italianwifey · 15/08/2018 08:23

Congrats @lularose, fingers crossed for you this time around xx

LulaRose · 15/08/2018 08:49

Thank you all! My gut instinct says this might be it..! So I'm holding on to the hope and keeping everything crossed. Was a Facebook group set up? Would someone be able to add me to it, I find MN hard to keep up with and awkward to reply to everyone on the app.

Do we have an April 2019 Facebook group btw? Would love to join if that's the case!

BooksandBrie · 15/08/2018 08:52

Hi everyone, I know you’re not meant to but took apart my clear blue digital pregnancy tests. One said pregnant (yesterday morning) the other said not pregnant (this morning), but they look the same...? Clutching at straws here 🤔

@Spanner DS was conceived the cycle after an early miscarriage (about 5 weeks), having been TTC for about 20 months. This baby is the cycle after a miscarriage cycle, baby lost at 13 weeks in April so assuming this one works out, both rainbow babies will have shared womb time with a sibling❤️

There are two reasons given to wait, aside from mental health- first to make dating the new pregnancy easier, and secondly to allow the body to recover stores after already building a baby recently (if the baby is far enough along it can deplete your resources; after my 13 week miscarriage I was advised to wait a couple of cycles). It's completely up to you xx

Braverthanweare · 15/08/2018 09:35

It's funny my gut instinct as soon as I got the BFP was boy, but now I'm not so sure!

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 15/08/2018 09:37

My ds was conceived the cycle after and early mc/chemical pg. I had no idea I was pg as I was waiting for a period to “prove” my body was back to normal!

That ds is being extra specially cuddly today. I bet he knows. My dd “knew” when I was pg with him even though she was only 2. Actually she knew before we did 😂

donna474 · 15/08/2018 09:37

@nathaliemargareta I'd love that too

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 15/08/2018 09:44

We would like a little girl as we already have a DS (and there are no granddaughters on my DH side), however we think we'll have a boy as we seem to be boy heavy (on both sides). I don't really care though as long as they're healthy!

jess21690 · 15/08/2018 10:05

Hi everyone,
Hope it's OK to join! First timer here, caught very quickly straight after stopping cerazette so it's been a bit of a whirlwind! I'm cautiously dating myself at 6 weeks today. I didn't have a period after stopping the pill, but I'm pretty sure of when I ovulated so counting that date as 2 weeks as on a traditional cycle you would ovulate on CD 14. Does that sound right?!

Feeling OK at the moment, except for some dizzy spells and very sore boobs! The other day I was in aldi and felt like someone was holding a lighter to my nipples, nearly went to lie face down in the freezer! I've also had some crampy/stretchy feelings over the last few days which have sent me into a panic but hopefully it's just the little bean snuggling in.
Have my booking in appointment 2 weeks tomorrow, and then looking to book an early scan for the following day so I should be around 8+2. I teach in a special school for children with behavioural problems so I will need to tell all the staff as soon as term starts again and I'll feel more confident doing that having had an early scan. Also I'm a terrible worrier and can't wait 12 weeks! I'm dreading going back to work and so anxious about working there and being pregnant, which is makinge sad because I love my job and the kids!

Hope everyone else is feeling OK and so sorry to those who have suffered losses and scares xx

SPR1107 · 15/08/2018 11:39

Congratulations @jess21690. This time is the most worrying, but hopefully it goes quickly for everyone!

Anyone else REALLY itchy everywhere? It's so annoying!!
