Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

Hi all.... another newcomer here. Slightly surprised to be joining you. My dh and I weren’t trying but weren’t not trying either iyswim. Had a really busy few weeks and was just cursing my very irregular cycles when I suddenly felt (after a boozy wedding weekend) rather heavy and acknowledged that I really ought to POAS. I got a really strong line within 10 seconds 😳

I’m nearly 35 and have dc of 6 and 3 already.

TerrierMama · 13/08/2018 22:10

Hello, another newbie here. First time for me! Got a BFP on 1st Aug - clearblue digital gave me 3+ at that stage but going by my last period I should only be 6+3 today... how does that work?! I’m guessing they’re not always accurate? DH and I are still getting our heads round this happy news, our plan wasn’t to start trying properly until early next year but this has been an amazing surprise! Looking forward to the adventures with you all.

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 13/08/2018 22:18

Hello to all the newbies!

LowPainThreshold · 13/08/2018 22:42

@pas same as you - we weren't trying but not preventing either... And when I found out this morning I was extremely hungover Blush

Annie264 · 13/08/2018 22:42

Welcome newbies! ☺️

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 13/08/2018 22:52

@pas and @LowPain me too. DH "knew" apparently weeks ago. I found out Sunday I'm already 6 weeks. Glad others were clueless too!

Gem7lou · 13/08/2018 23:22

Yes baby 7 is cooking 😍
I have a boy15, boy13, girl9, boy8, girl5, boy14months and by the account of my post pregnancy diet and now sickness I think I have a girl on board lol

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 14/08/2018 08:37

Hello to all the newbies Smile my boobs have been agony the last few days, ds gave me a hug on the sofa yesterday and I think I actually yelped Blush I wore a sports bra to bed last night and the relief was amazing. I’ve only recently splashed out on some decent bras so it’s a little galling that they’re going to be consigned to the back of the drawer for more than a year, but I think I already need to go shopping for more as I’m spilling out. I haven’t bothered to go non underwired since my first pregnancy as I found all maternity bras lacked support and I’m a 32f so need some scaffolding! I’m my next two pregnancies I found some great underwired nursing bras but can’t for the life of me remember where they were from. Does anyone have any suggestions?

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 14/08/2018 08:44

I’ve done a CB Diego this morning. It came up with “pregnant” again within seconds... so it wasn’t really a surprise when it then said 3+ weeks. I wish I was more certain of my dates! I know my LMP was 27/6 but my cycles are anything from 29 to 45 days long so it’s a bit of a grey area...

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 14/08/2018 08:44

Diego?! Digi..!!

Spanner91 · 14/08/2018 08:58

Hi all. I am 5+2 (I think) apparently the midwife won't contact me for an appointment until 8-10 weeks which make sense other than I am brown spotting and very scared. My DH wanted sex last night and I sort of did but was scared with the spotting, we sort of half did it and low and behold this morning the spotting in slightly heavier. Any One any experience of this? I don't wanna obsess but I am doing. Any advice would be great

TheMagicTorch · 14/08/2018 09:03

@AwkwardAsAllGetout same here! DP says they look bigger already and they're so sore. I'm slapping his hands away whenever he comes near. Sleeping in a sports bra sounds good though I'm going to try it.
I only got measured properly a few months ago and spent a small fortune on decent bras for the first time so I know how you feel! I'm 32GG so dreading how big and heavy they're going to get 😭 so following with interest for suggestions 😁

sachabloom · 14/08/2018 09:03

Without being super annoying to all those who are really suffering, I am having a panic about lack of symptoms.

I've got sore breasts (although not too bad actually, but no sickness and not really got much else going on?!

Should I be worried or should I just shut up and enjoy it?

I'm 5+2 by the way. Had a bit of bleeding last week but all seems ok now.

Hope everyone is ok ❤️

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 14/08/2018 09:08

@spanner91, I had similar sounding bleeding to and we saw a heartbeat yesterday, so it’s not necessarily bad. I have to call my gp and ask for a cervix check as I’ve been having issues with bleeding between periods and after sex for a while now, not just in pregnancy. Everyone I’ve seen about it is pretty useless tbh, and seeing what a hard time the sonographer had yesterday, and how difficult my smears are, I know that my cervix is very oddly positioned, almost tucked up behind, so I don’t actually trust that the nurse who checked last time could actually see! It’s worth getting checked out if you’re worried, but I feel massively reassured.

Spanner91 · 14/08/2018 09:14

@sachabloom I haven't really and I'm the same as you. Only took a test because i was late and was going on a hen do and low and behold I was! I had slight cramping and spotting so thought I was due on and just late due to stress at work. My boobs have started getting slightly tender the past day but only slightly, no sickness or any other symptoms but they can happen at different times for everyone apparently so I'd probably say for us to enjoy the no sickness while we can?! Xx

Spanner91 · 14/08/2018 09:15

@AwkwardAsAllGetout thank you. My Drs a no nonsense guy so I might ask for the nurse and just raise my concerns

Ohnonotanotherusername · 14/08/2018 09:26

@sachabloom try not to worry, my nausea/sickness didn't start until I was 6 weeks or so.

I'm 32G and definitely on the look out for something comfy and supportive. Bravissimo have quite a nice selection of maternity/nursing bras. They've also got a really comfy looking selection of sleep bras that I'm considering. Haven't bought anything yet though.

TheMagicTorch · 14/08/2018 09:31

I rang my doctors this morning to tell them, and they gave me an appt tomorrow afternoon with the GP, I'm only 4+3, so is this my first appt and then the midwife after that when I'm 8 weeks +

I might have to check out Bravissimo, I normally like their stuff 😀

sachabloom · 14/08/2018 09:41

@Spanner91 congratulations! Thanks a lot for your reply, I will try to relax and enjoy this moment then 😃

Considering booking a reassurance scan, not too worried but I'd love to see the little bean at around 8 weeks.

Anyone done one? What's the general view? Xxxx

sachabloom · 14/08/2018 09:41

@Ohnonotanotherusername thanks lovely, hope you're feeling ok xxx

Spanner91 · 14/08/2018 09:43

sachabloom oh I didn't know they were a thing! I might have to do the same if people say they're worth it! X

TheMagicTorch · 14/08/2018 09:47

@sachabloom @sachabloom we're planning on booking one for 8 weeks. Not too worried but think it's a long time to wait between finding out at 4 weeks and a scan at 12! 8 weeks would break the wait up a little and think it would be reassuring.
We're looking at babybond as they do it at our local Mothercare. Not booked yet but will probably do it this week

AmyRhodes · 14/08/2018 09:55

Back on home ground and saw my doctor this morning. 5 weeks preg, est due date 15th April.

Seems a long wait for the midwife appointment, let alone the first scan!

Dani7 · 14/08/2018 09:58

@sachabloom I’m 5+2 I think too and haven’t experienced many symptoms yet. My boobs really hurt but that has eased off now and I’ve had a little bit of cramping. Waves of sickness but not sure if I’m imagining it! Haha. I’m a teacher so what’s the betting I get all the symptoms on the first day of term?! Trying to enjoy the lack of symptoms and get well rested while I can!

sachabloom · 14/08/2018 10:10

Congratulations @Dani7 that's reassuring! Ah no, fingers crossed you get a nice sickness free pregnancy then! Xx
