Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

Sorry ladies posted that on the wrong thread 🙈 can I blame baby brain yet? X

MomoTheLemur · 09/08/2018 23:29

@toomanyflatwhites if I can panic you can certainly moan 😂 just hang in there, echoing the mantras as above "it will all be fine... It is all normal" and our respective jumping beans will all be worth the fun we are having right now. Hang in there!!! ❤️

AmyRhodes · 10/08/2018 02:04

@MomoTheLemur Please try not to worry about symptoms- everyone is different. My cramps are frequent and feel like period pain and my number 2s have been all over the shop!

Congrats @toots123 !

Newbie2703 · 10/08/2018 06:32

@ialtianwifey think they are just to make you more comfortable when you have sore boobs and you can put it between your legs when you have a big bump and it supports your back. The long U 1 is great you can half it and make a nursing pillow too. But amazing at this stage too don't know why they were made just for pregnancy ! Everyone needs one. Best sleep ever I had 11 hours !

Newbie2703 · 10/08/2018 06:33

Sorry @italianwifey cant edit post or spell apparently ha

SPR1107 · 10/08/2018 07:55

I've lost who said they weren't sure about pregnancy pillows, but I would recommend them, they are great!
Later in pregnancy, they're good for putting part of it in between your legs when you're laying at your side, to keep your legs hip width, then the other side, you lay underneath your bump so gravity isn't pulling you sideways... they're soooooo comfy

Fluffy475 · 10/08/2018 07:57

I could do with getting cushions to prop my boobs up at night, they are so painful sometimes!! I had a little wedge cushion that used to help support my bump at night which was superb, think I will be getting another one.
@toomanyflatwhites this is the place for a moan :) must be so frustrating for you, especially if you're feeling poorly. Does sound like you have a sinus infection, especially if you're feeling pain when you lean forward. May be worth seeing a doctor if you can just to get it checked out as you may need antibiotics. You can take paracetamol but no ibuprofen I think, may take the edge off? Hope things get better for you xx

NorthernGirl1991 · 10/08/2018 08:14

Is anyone else retching/gagging if you smell anything bad or strong? Fortunately every time it’s happened so far I’ve had an empty stomach so not actually been sick...but I need to wee all the time, and then whenever I use the toilets at work and they smell I end up nearly being sick!
And also even though it’s pretty horrible I’m glad I’m having symptoms because it makes it feel more real!

Annie264 · 10/08/2018 08:21

@NorthernGirl1991 yes! I was retching in a public toilet the other day because the smell was foul! Annoyingly I can't avoid public toilets as my bladder does not hold very long at the moment!!!

NorthernGirl1991 · 10/08/2018 08:26

Annie264 It’s not very fun, is it?!
My favourite thing to do is go out in the countryside for long walks...but the lack of toilets will make that difficult!

Annie264 · 10/08/2018 08:34

No it's not! Does the bladder thing last the whole time or just the first trimester?!

Fraggleface · 10/08/2018 08:47

Hi everyone! Please can I join?
I got BFP at 9dpo and yesterday got 3+ weeks on a CBD so feels a bit more real now. Although by LMP I’m now 6+1 but actually I think more like 5+1. We’ll see what the dating scan says.
Got my booking in appt with the MW and it’s not til 10 weeks! Anyone else that late? It’s my 2nd though so I’m not too worried. We’re not going for an early scan this time either. Such a long time to wait though now til 12 weeks Confused

IME the bladder thing gets progressively worse throughout pregnancy - sorry - one of the many physical joys Grin

Fraggleface · 10/08/2018 08:49

Symptom wise - no nausea yet (I think that kicked in around 7 weeks last time) but I am EXHAUSTED (having a 21 month old and a puppy doesn’t help..) Cake

toomanyflatwhites · 10/08/2018 08:58

Thanks @Fluffy475 ! The headache and sinus pain is unreal, and am a little bit worried that the fever came back too. Just feel so selfish moaning as DP's DGM is about to go to a home next week and everyone is super upset about it, but at the same time it's becoming harder and harder for his DM to take care of her here. And here's me saying "why are we not doing nice activities??" - talk about selfish!!
But yes, I think I might need antibiotics, I already saw the Dr on Monday who prescribed 1g paracetamol tablets which I've been taking on and off depending on fever, and helps a bit with the headache but not sure if paracetamol is absolutely fine, or just "ok if you REALLY need something"....

TheMagicTorch · 10/08/2018 09:20

@AmyRhodes at least you'll have a good story to tell your baby! In all seriousness good choices and bet you can't wait to get home ❤️

TheMagicTorch · 10/08/2018 09:24

@toots123 congratulations! What strong lines! I know what you mean, I'm coming up to 4 weeks and although I'm so excited to know I'm pregnant, I feel time is going to drag!

Braverthanweare · 10/08/2018 11:21

Yes! So bad even just thinking of some foods leads me to dry heaving, there's so many foods I just can't face anymore 🙈 Hubby made me pancakes and it was bliss to eat something and not feel sick

Ohnonotanotherusername · 10/08/2018 11:58

I'm with everyone gagging at the smell/thought of anything unpleasant. Managed to throw up this morning by reading a tweet about blue cheese (which I normally like!).

On the positive side, my exhaustion seems to have eased a bit, which is a relief. Fingers crossed the nausea goes the same way!

Hope you're all having a good Friday!

TheMagicTorch · 10/08/2018 12:54

I'm only 3+6, so I'm wondering if the nausea is just in my head 🤷

As soon as I ate my breakfast this morning, I felt sick continued into the morning - just ate lunch (salad) and felt queasy while I was eating it.. I just want toast!

italianwifey · 10/08/2018 13:27

@braverthanweare is it anything in particular? I keep feeling a bit sick but really craving ritz crackers or something like that??anyone else been really fancying something unusual?
I took one final test this morning just to see if anything was progressing (I know I shouldn’t!) and was happy to see 2-3 weeks this week rather than 1-2 but I’ve promises DH no more now

toomanyflatwhites · 10/08/2018 13:35

No nausea here yet but I'm hoping my cough goes before it starts, otherwise I'm quite sure I'll be sick - and I know it's not allowed to say this on MN but I'm emetophobic and managed the whole of my previous pregnancy (and labour more miraculously) without vomming and really hope to do the same again!!

monkerina · 10/08/2018 14:08

Nausea not tooooo bad here yet (if you want toast, eat it!) but omg the emotion- I've just been in tears watching Mr Tumble with DS! BlushGrin

italianwifey · 10/08/2018 14:21

@toomanyflatwhites what do you mean about not being allowed to say? I’m sorry to hear about the vomit phobia, that must be stressful when pregnant!

kisses4u · 10/08/2018 14:30

I'm afraid I'm out. Good luck to the rest of you and I wish you all heathy and happy pregnancies. Wink
