Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

kisses thinking of you, limbo is horrible! Where are you supposed to be going on holiday?

No bleeding here but still really worried about lots of cramping over the weekend then reduced symptoms since- 2 of my 3 mcs were missed so maybe my body doesn't really 'do' bleeding iyswim? Awaiting a call from EPU after GP referral, 6 weeks tomorrow so hoping for a scan early next week? Waiting for news either way is just awful though, flicking back and forth between hope and none!

Treaclepie19 · 09/08/2018 14:16

Sending you lots of love kisses4u, hopefully it's just too early.

I'm feeling very deflated today. I wish I could know now but hey ho.

lolacola13 · 09/08/2018 14:19

@MB34 😂😂 Floyd's lol. It's so hard I done a half day today and my back is in pieces I don't know what I'm going to do . Defo gonna start back strengthening exercises and invest in better footwear for work. I have lot of customer facing stuff to do . Thankfully I'm off tomorrow and can rest up the whole day do some stretches and then be a bit better for sat . Well done doing ur act course ! No picnic I'm sure Xoxo

Treaclepie19 · 09/08/2018 14:25

Sorry @monkerina, meant to reply. I hope they book you in for a scan and all is well.

italianwifey · 09/08/2018 14:25

@kisses4u I had the same and when they called back with blood results it reassured me a bit, fingers crossed you get the same.

italianwifey · 09/08/2018 14:29

Oh and just to add my friend had the same with her little boy and he is now 4! Fingers crossed

OmmiMama · 09/08/2018 14:35

Had my hospital appointment today, anticoagulants all sorted and they gave me my scan date (late September - feels like forever away). This is the big downside with a very early booking appointment - I now have nothing for six weeks!

kisses4u · 09/08/2018 15:36

Italianwifey are you having the same with this pregnancy or a previous one?
I'd never heard of PUL before today. I could tell something wasn't right as the nurse was scanning all over the place for ages! I'm just hoping it's too early and I got my dates wrong. The latest I could have conceived would be August 17 which would put me 23DPO so not sure how many weeks that could make me? Anyone know?

kisses4u · 09/08/2018 15:38

What's happening with you treaclepie? Have you got any appointments booked in? So horrible not knowing what's happening isn't it xxx

italianwifey · 09/08/2018 15:47

@kisses4u that’s this one, I haven’t been pregnant before. I’m really hoping everything turns out okay but when she called me with blood results yesterday she said it suggested it was prob just too early ... the doctor said before she scanned me that it was likely they wouldn’t be able to see anything as you can’t normally at 4 weeks which is where she put me. I think I ovulated on 19th July which means I would be over four weeks but not quite 5 - sometimes at 5 I hear they can’t see much either. My HCG was 452 and they said that once it gets to Monday because of the HCG they would expect to see something so I’m going to go back next week (might leave it Even a bit longer to be doubly certain) for another scan. When do they call with your blood results?

kisses4u · 09/08/2018 15:56

I have to have another bloods on Saturday so they can compare. They need to see the hCG levels double to be sure the pregnancy is viable but still early. That's reassuring to hear that your ovulation / conception date is similar to mine. I think I must only be 5 weeks or less too. Fingers crossed for us both that we are too early and all is well xxx

italianwifey · 09/08/2018 16:29

🤞🏼Let me know how you get on. I’m hoping things ok as my boobs feel much more sore today and starting to have odd moments of nausea!

Treaclepie19 · 09/08/2018 17:02

@kisses4u the doctor won't book anything. I've got a private scan next Friday and my midwife appointment on the 29th.
I'm quite crampy today though... especially on the right side. I know I had a lot of cramping and ligament pain with my son but after the bleeding I'm just going crazy.
I'm 5+2 today.

monkerina · 09/08/2018 17:16

@kisses 23dpo would make you 3+2, definitely too early to see anything and about the earliest you'd ever see even the faintest positive test.

Thanks @treaclepie, called the EPU to find the GP had screwed up the referral so long story short I now have a scan on Saturday morning when I'll be 6+1! Very nervous they won't see anything-with my son I saw a heartbeat at 6+3 but hadn't had such bad cramping. Maybe if you tell the GP about the cramping they'll refer you for as soon as you hit 6weeks? They won't see you before that point in my CCG unless they suspect ectopic etc.

Treaclepie19 · 09/08/2018 17:22

I've already been with shoulder pain when I first find out and cramps. I think she's just refusing.
She said if I go back at 6 weeks with constant pain she will refer me but basically that I'm just nervous.
Now I have the private scan booked in I guess I just need to wait until then but I am tempted to ring the midwife since she was so nice on the phone.

I really hope your scan goes well, fingers crossed its easy to see a little heartbeat.

monkerina · 09/08/2018 17:33

Fwiw @treaclepie to me your bleeding sounded 'normal' (hah! No bleeding feels normal!) as there wasn't enough to fill a pad, and hopefully our cramping is the equivalent of our uteruses (uteri?) crankily getting back into gear after previous pregnancies... 'Ooh not this again, ffs not another 9 months of work' kinda thing Wink

Treaclepie19 · 09/08/2018 17:35

Haha! @monkerina that's most likely it. My hips are grumbling today too. Probably asking for no SPD this time.
Thank you, it's reassuring it sounded normal :)

So, finding out you're pregnant while on holiday in Korea has been a minefield - an exciting, lovely minefield, but a minefield nonetheless.

Today alone I've had to tackle a seafood feast - my friends were eating sashimi, weird molluscs and - I'm not joking - live, still-moving octopus. I enjoyed some well-cooked lobster and white fish.

Later on we went to a spa, where I was encouraged to use every facility, including an 80 degree sauna. They clearly don't have the same guidelines here, because the staff were completely unphased when I told them I was pregnant. I stuck to the cold pools and got a facial 👍👍👍

From the bizarre search for a Korean pregnancy test to every meal since being a concoction of weird and wonderful things, getting my BFP in Korea has been a surreal experience. I'm having a wonderful time, but part of me is looking forward to getting back to familiar ground.

AmyRhodes · 09/08/2018 17:47

Wishing those of you who are having bloods and early scans all the best.

🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Newbie2703 · 09/08/2018 19:27

Pregnancy pillow arrived today and oh my it is so comfy. I'm gonna sleep well tonight and I'm exhausted !!!

MomoTheLemur · 09/08/2018 19:42

Soooo. Having just been proud of myself earlier today of how calmly I've been handling pregnancy so far, I've been doing some reading ahead of having a GP visit tomorrow (will mention I'm preggo and sense check about all my asthma and allergy meds - the latter I've just stopped taking for now since BFP)...

And I'm now freaking out realising that since the day I've officially missed my period (2 weeks today) I've been having mild cramping EVERY single day... (Had bfn on 2 weeks ago, then patiently waited 1week to retest and that was BFP)... Now I'm starting to think maybe that's not right. Especially as I (sorry TMI) been having some light diarrhoea too and think that can be linked to not so happy pregnancy from what I've been reading. ☹️

What are people's cramp pains like? I'm 5 +4... So I guess been cramping nonstop since 3+4... Will definitely check with GP torrow either way.
