Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

@kisses4u thinking of you. I Hope everything is okay xxx

I'm in such a grump this morning. I just want it to be next friday now.

MomoTheLemur · 09/08/2018 08:00

Loving some of the how to tell ideas and feeling glad I'm only working in an office pharmacy duties sounds hard work. Thinking of you ladies and hoping your DPs are giving you good old pamperings in the evening. Wink

@kisses4u thinking of you, and I'm sure your absolutely right, if it was the same with your first it's likely this is just your body's pregnancy routine.

@Annie264 and @NorthernGirl1991 with you on that one. Big reason behind not telling is feeling as though we don't really know yet...

TMI And yup lots of bathroom visits from me too. Confused

MomoTheLemur · 09/08/2018 08:01

Oops... Missing comma between office and pharmacy...

Annie264 · 09/08/2018 08:01

@Westmacott @NorthernGirl1991 it's so frustrating isn't it! I'm sure there should be a system to at least confirm your pregnancy while waiting to see the midwife!! I even took a sample in a jam jar to my GP to save time, but she wasn't interested!!

Ills88 · 09/08/2018 08:07

Congratulations!!! :) I really hope tiredness doesn't hit you as hard as it hit me! Best of luck and look after yourself! X

italianwifey · 09/08/2018 08:19

Hi everyone can I join? Thought I was about 5 weeks because I ovulate quite early (and this is what app was telling me) but doc at EPU said by my LMP I’m 4 + 1. It’s my first so super anxious and don’t know what to expect!
@lolacola13 glad to see you here too remember you from previous threads :-) congrats and fingers crossed.
I haven’t got any really symptoms yet but glad to hear from reading through that this isn’t too unusual at this stage!

NorthernGirl1991 · 09/08/2018 08:25

Congratulations and welcome @italianwifey

Sarah1107 · 09/08/2018 09:00

@kisses4u feel for you, hopefully it is just your body during pregnancy. I had a bleed at 6 weeks in my first pregnancy - doctors wouldn't help, my brother and a close friend had just gone through two of the most horrific experiences during pregnancy within that month and I was an emotional mess, but they weren't interested at all, just said 'if it happens, it happens, nothing we can do about it, go home and rest' I spent two days in bed before I couldn't take anymore and drove 1.5 hours on a Sunday to find somewhere that was open for a private scan... went on to have a second bleed at 26 weeks, which meant internals, steroid injections and a hospital stay... that baby is 2 at the end of this month.
But it still means every time I use the loo this time, I'm expecting to see red and it petrifies me still! This wait before midwife and scans is the worst!

kisses4u · 09/08/2018 09:05

On my way to the EPU as they managed to squeeze me in for 9:30. Feeling very grateful

TheMagicTorch · 09/08/2018 09:11

@kisses4u Oh that's great they've got you in. Thinking of you, hope everything is okay.
x

TheMagicTorch · 09/08/2018 09:16

@MomoTheLemur I work in an office too and am grateful already, although with my bathroom trips increasing already I might have to request a move from an upstairs desk to a downstairs one!!

@italianwifey welcome and congratulations!

@Annie264 It's so strange isn't it! I've had 2 clear BFPs on FRER, but I'm still thinking what if I'm wrong, I need a doctor to tell me!
Waiting til Sunday and I'm going to try a clear blue digital so I can see the words in front of me!

QueenOfCatan · 09/08/2018 09:19

@kisses4u I hope all is well and not the worst!

@italianwifey EPU gave me the wrong date with DD at 8 weeks, they'll adjust it as they go along. If your cycles aren't bang on 28 days the NHS don't seem to care, mine were 35 days at that point so my EDD was vastly different to all of the EDDs I was given before the 12 week scan, then they adjusted it to the one I had worked out based on my 35 day cycle based on the size of DD at the scan.

Does anybody else not have any symptoms? With DD I had nausea from when she must have implanted (was never sick but I had to take regular breaks when driving!). I also couldn't drink tea any more. Now I have no symptoms at all! I am bloated but I'm gluten intolerant and have had gluten this week, so that's one of my main symptoms of indulging so I don't think it's a pregnancy symptom!

I'm telling my sister today, only because I was moaning about my period being late on Monday! I don't think we'll tell anybody else until 12 weeks unles DH tells his best mate, both of our mothers can't keep their mouths shut so that's a no go, MIL actually called DHs sister within 3 minutes of us telling her to tell her that I was pregnant Angry She was on her way home FFS so we would have told her in ten minutes. We told everyone around 8/9 weeks that time as we lived away and the next visit home would be when I was 5 months gone and we'd be visiting for my nephews first birthday party, so we didn't think my sister would ever forgive me Grin

If all goes well I'll be twelve weeks late September so should get a scan around then, and MIL, FIL and my Dad's birthdays are all the first two weeks of October, so we'll probably put a scan picture in their cards or a picture of DD in a Big Sister top. Though FIL may not find out as DH didn't tell him until 5 months last time and he was a tad shocked to see me a month later with a 6 month bump!

Fluffy475 · 09/08/2018 09:27

@kisses4u good luck at the epu this morning, I'm sure it's just your body settling down, it can be normal to have small bleeds and that sounds like old rather than fresh.

Messaged my brother and sister in law to tell them yesterday, they have a history of miscarriages so was nervous. Thanks to this group I did it over message and it was the perfect thing, my brother rang and was so excited and my sister in law sent me a really nice message so it was clearly the perfect way to tell them and give them the opportunity to react in their own time and own way. So relieved!!

italianwifey · 09/08/2018 09:50

Good luck @kisses4u hope everything goes ok.

@queenofcatan yeah I’m
Confused - it does work out as that from my LMP but I am then shocked at how I had a strong positive when I would have only been 3 weeks, on a digi as well? But stranger things have happened. Am kind of hoping they are right Cos they couldn’t see anything yesterday but have told
Me hormones in blood look good and going back next week.

@northerngirl1991 thanks and YES I have been ravenous?? They say you don’t need any more calories but I am so hungry! Had just been doing slimming world but this weekend to celebrate (in the absence of wine!) ate so many sweets... really need to control
Myself now, I don’t want to get huge!

Sarah1107 · 09/08/2018 09:58

Glad they've got you in @kisses4u. Wishing you all the best.

Yeah I'm the exact same @QueenOfCatan! Not a single symptom over than a HUGE bloated belly and I feel fuller quicker, and my food I passing through me at a much quicker speed then usual!

NorthernGirl1991 · 09/08/2018 10:07

@italianwifey Yes just so so hungry. Made DH get me a chicken salad at 11pm last night and then get me a banana at 5pm! Going to try and stick to healthy snacks.

organised5 · 09/08/2018 10:56

Sarah1107 - no it won't show up anywhere. It's a secret group so only people in the group can see it. The name of the group also isn't anything to do with babies or pregnancy just in case anyone sees it on your screen. Just PM me with your email address to add you!

Hope everyone is doing OK today. I'm also starving!! I'm a bit worried that I'm 5+3 and have already put on 2-3lbs. I have been eating the same amount and doing the same amount of exercise as before - if anything I've been healthier. The only difference is I've stopped drinking alcohol!!

organised5 · 09/08/2018 10:57

@Sarah1107 sorry it didn't tag you properly in that!

Annie264 · 09/08/2018 11:04

@TheMagicTorch it really is! I've done a digital as well but still need someone in uniform to confirm!!

TheMagicTorch · 09/08/2018 11:21

@organised5 Sounds great, I'll pm you over the weekend as want to wait until I'm 4 weeks at least! Still struggling to believe it.

kisses4u · 09/08/2018 12:32

Update, I'm back from my EPU app. Turns out it’s a pregnancy of unknown location?! So it’s either too early that they couldn’t see anything, or an early MC or ectopic! So I’m in limbo. Meant to be going on holiday Monday to France and the nurse today said I shouldn’t go, as if it’s ectopic it could be serious! I don’t know what to do? They did bloods today and will re-do them in 48 hours. I hope I get results before I go away. They will be checking if my pregnancy hormones double, which would then rule out an MC but I’d still have the location unknown until they rescan me in a few weeks?! Aaaagh!!!

Thanks so much for thinking of me everyone. I'm feeling optimistic as based on the dates we DTD it looks like I must have ovulated late which would account for all those very faint pregnancy tests at the start. Maybe this cycle was a longer one, so I might still be in with a chance if I'm only 4 weeks?!

I totally get why they put off scanning ladies too early now. I mean based on my dates I should in theory be 6 weeks, but the fact she couldn't see anything would suggest not?! So confusing Hmm

Ohnonotanotherusername · 09/08/2018 12:48

@kisses4u keeping everything crossed for you. Would your travel insurance cover you if you had to cancel?

kisses4u · 09/08/2018 12:55

I have to call to let them know I'm pregnant so we shall see what they advise. I'm having no pain whatsoever and I just feel terribly sick and headachy. So I'm seeing that as positive signs. Weird to be happy about feeling shit isn't it!
I'm lying in bed and going to make the most of having the time to myself and some R&R while the grandparents look after my DS. I think I will tell my MIL later as she will wonder what's going on! Will be nice to have her support too.

Hope you are all doing alright and no one else is still having major worries about bleeds etc? I'm reassured by the fact this happened to me before. But you can't help but worry. But what will be will be, gotta relax

MomoTheLemur · 09/08/2018 13:02

@kisses4u oh dear I can only imagine your feelings of limbo!!! Fingers crossed it's just early days and that all is well!!! And on the holiday front are you meant to fly? If driving maybe you and other half can join late?

TheMagicTorch · 09/08/2018 13:14

@italianwifey I'm (supposed to be) on Slimming World but today I had a cheese twist for breakfast, and then a ham and cheese toastie from Greggs with a packet of crisps. 🤦
Already heavier than I'd like to be so don't want to put much on but just fancied carbs 😓
