April 2019 Babies

LulaRose · 20/07/2018 11:16

Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

Newbie2703 have you tried nuts? I find I can stomach them in small amounts through the day!

Newbie2703 · 07/08/2018 09:39

Ahh @pingoose no I hadn't thought of nuts but they sounds like a good idea ! I'll give them ago.

DumbledoresSocks · 07/08/2018 10:50

@firsttimemomtobe I went on to the webpage version. Couldn't find it on the app

BeeKeeping · 07/08/2018 11:18

Oh @Nulanoo thinking of you. Hopefully just a dodgy test? Maybe wait a few days and test again. I think if AF does show up that’s known as a chemical pregnancy. Hopefully not though xx

BeeKeeping · 07/08/2018 11:21

I never use Facebook but will try and get in to my old account to keep up with you lovely ladies! I’ve had pink spotting after sex and a wee bit of brown spotting yesterday and today. Trying to stay positive as I know it’s very common to spot between week 5-8. I’m 5+4 and hoping it doesn’t last long.

Starting to feel 🤢 especially when hungry. I suppose that’s a good sign?!

sachabloom · 07/08/2018 11:55

Is anyone else incapable of thinking about anything other than this 😩 I don't think I'm gonna get away with 8 more months of being this distracted lol xx

monkerina · 07/08/2018 12:07

Nausea is good Bee! I spent yesterday convinced I was miscarrying as crampy, then spent most of the night worrying and reading old threads where cramping still ended up in a baby, and then nauseous this morning so praying it's OK? Dr has referred me to EPU for reassurance after previous mcs so hoping to hear from them soon.

I'm not confident enough to join you all on facebook just yet Blush maybe in a few weeks! Hope some people stay around here too!

toomanyflatwhites · 07/08/2018 12:10

Same here re Facebook @monkerina! Also my previous MN group only moved over to FB just before the babies came and tbh the MN thread died after that! Much easier to keep up on fb I agree, but feel like I would rather chat here for now!

MrsP2018 · 07/08/2018 12:19

Hello! first time on here but I am due early April 2019 - our first IVF attempt was a success!! got an early 5 week scan on 14th August and I can't wait, I just want to make sure everything is ok! has anybody else been suffering with tiredness, nausea and sore boobs already? The tummy cramps I have had today are unreal 😖 so I am just hoping all is ok x

Footymum81 · 07/08/2018 12:29

@BeeKeeping I had some pink and the brown spotting yesterday... had to happen when I was at work didn't it? Luckily it's all stopped overnight and my stepsister reminded me it's probably implantation and very common. I had enough when pregnant with DD to think I'd had a very light period this wasn't anything like that. It's so worrying though isn't it? Taking it easy today until it's time for work (DH's orders) so have been watching Netflix in bed all morning.

monkerina · 07/08/2018 12:36

Congrats MrsP! Cramping here too- lots of the things I've been reading say that it's everything stretching and getting ready for the next few months, worrying though.

Phew FlatWhites, we'll have each other to talk to at least Grin my last antenatal group moved mid pregnancy, so the thread got a bit quieter but it still carried on- finally moved completely after all the babies were born. Facebook is lots easier but for some reason it feels more personal, and much more painful to leave after a loss (from experience) than lovely anonymous MN

Fluffy475 · 07/08/2018 12:50

I can't use the website, there's too many ads and rubbish on there so makes it ridiculously slow so am using the app!! Will try and use it later if I have a bit more patience!!!

Hello to all new joiners! Hope everyone's feeling ok and coping. I'm 6w today and have to say I'm surprised at how many symptoms I'm having. Is anyone also feeling like they're showing already. I had a bit of a belly before this 😳 but now I feel like I'm already sporting a bump!!!!

Ohnonotanotherusername · 07/08/2018 12:54

Sorry to keep complaining - I'm a bit of a broken record at the moment! This nausea is absolutely killing me, have almost been sick so many times today (almost wish I would just be sick - sure I will regret saying hay later) - has anyone found anything that is helping to alleviate their nausea?

monkerina · 07/08/2018 13:09

Ohno try ritz crackers, breadsticks, tonic water, soda water, brioche- anything you can face. For me nausea is linked to being too hungry, but triggered by certain foods- so if you can stop your stomach getting empty you won't feel so sick.

Ohnonotanotherusername · 07/08/2018 13:24

@monkerina thank you!

TheMagicTorch · 07/08/2018 13:36

🙋Hi Ladies can I tentatively join? Got my BFP this morning, but still early - AF not due til Saturday and I had a chemical a couple of cycles ago so still a little nervous. But got a very strong line this morning . Estimated due date 21 April 2019 🤞❤️

Treaclepie19 · 07/08/2018 15:13

Thinking of you Nulanoo
I hope it was just the test Flowers

Welcome new ladies :)

Half the time I wouldn't know I'm pregnant. The other half I'm tired, nauseous and weepy.

For nausea I use biscuits of any kind... crisps and lots of water.
I haven't got much yet though... if it's like it was with my son I am not looking forward to it :p

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 07/08/2018 15:50

I've not had an nausea yet, but when I was pregnant with my last I just found constantly eating bland food! Sounds terrible to say I ate constantly but it was the only thing that helped! Crackers and mini bread-sticks was my go to!
I'm a bit worried that if I do get nausea this time my colleagues will guess somethings up as soon as the mini bread-sticks come out!!

toomanyflatwhites · 07/08/2018 15:59

It's weird to be wishing for nausea isn't it?? Am also checking my boobs in the mirror every few hours to see if they have grown from their depressingly small post BF state but so far nothing!! I think all of this is why I still don't really believe it Hmm I do feel a bit wiped out but not sure if that's because I've had a terrible cough for weeks that turned into a high fever and all over body aches yesterday - we are on holiday so ended up at the French doctor getting checked over but was told it was viral and sent away with paracetamol which thankfully brought the fever down within a few hours, and the pains are receding a bit today. So I probably shouldn't be wishing for any other symptoms just yet!!

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 07/08/2018 16:40

@toomanyflatwhites I'm so glad you said that! I had a MC a few years ago (1st pregnancy) and felt fine, no symptoms. With my 2nd preg (with DS) I felt sick a lot but I can't for the life of me remember when it started so I am constantly hoping for nausea! Just because in my world that would make me actually feel better!
Hopefully we'll get just enough symptoms to make us feel pregnant but not enough to make us feel complete rubbish soon! Grin

letsgetthispartystarted · 07/08/2018 17:23

Can I Join please? Currently 5w1d after 1st ivf attempt and still very numb about everything as really didn't think it would happen so quick. We're so happy though and can't wait for our early scan on the 17th to make sure everything is fine. Until then I don't think I believe this is happening for real Smile

MB34 · 07/08/2018 17:25

Hi all, can I join please? I haven't been on MN in months (possibly years😕), but when I was pregnant with DS2, I was in the group for him and we're all still on fb together. It's lovely to have the support of other ladies going through the same.

I got my BFP 2 weeks ago, expected date is 3rd April, although I have short cycles so could be before. But as my other 2 were 11 days and 9 days late, it'll probably be April anyway!

I already have 2 boys, 5.5 and 3.5, we've been trying for a third for 11 months and I'm 41 next month 😫

Nausea has hit hard (harder than the last two) so trying to work out which ginger capsules to buy.

Love to everyone esp those going through a tough time

Annie264 · 07/08/2018 17:28

The only thing I've found that helps with nausea is toast with butter. It does seem to be mainly when hungry though, but I don't want to continually eat because I'm already a larger lady and don't wanna be like a whale!! 🙊

MB34 · 07/08/2018 17:30

Ohno I know how you feel, came home from work today as I've just been feeling sick every 5 mins and can't cope with standing up. I rang my drs just now to ask if they can recommend a ginger capsule (they all say consult dr if pregnant) and the receptionist asked me if I wanted some meds for it.
Maybe worth ringing your gp surgery and asking too

Ohnonotanotherusername · 07/08/2018 18:15

@MB34 thanks for that, I assumed I would just be told that it's normal - might give them a call tomorrow.
