Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

wow same day! That's crazy! Do you have earlier scans?

I'm not sure about scans - I did have extra scans last time but we didn't find out about my blood until after the 12 week scan, so I don't know what happens in early pregnancy. I have a hospital appointment on thursday and will find out then. Really hard not to get over excited!

Treaclepie19 · 06/08/2018 11:59

She still wont refer me. She says if I get to 6 weeks and have consistent pain then she will but she's sure it's just implantation.
I'm going to book a private one for next week I think.
I rang about booking in with the midwife too but they've changed it and I have to go get a form so I'll try and do that today or tomorrow.

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 06/08/2018 12:03

Hey, I thought I'd pop my head in and say hi! Due no.2 on 13th April. Have DS who is 20 months. No real symptoms yet, apart from being tired all the time!

sachabloom · 06/08/2018 12:44

@ChocolateChipMuffin2016 congratulations! I'm due 14th April so very similar.

I've had a bit of bleeding today and been to get checked, they said they're hoping it's just normal but as it's so early there's nothing really they can do.

It's reassuring to see you don't have any real symptoms either, I was getting scared as I don't! Although after a good cry this morning I am ready for a nap lol xxx

ashley992 · 06/08/2018 13:09

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd jump on. This will be my third pregnancy (due 9/4/19) after two miscarriages (most recent one was February with twins). Other than a positive test last week, I haven't had any great symptoms, certainly not like the last pregnancy. I was advised to take a daily, small dose of aspirin this time round which I have been taking since I got the BFP. Is anyone else taking/took aspirin? Did it make the pregnancy successful? I can't help but think it's all going to go wrong again!

Fluffy475 · 06/08/2018 13:23

@BeeKeeping probably don't need to panic just yet I don't think. You'll get cramps after orgasm because it causes the womb to release oxytocin I think it is which contracts that womb. A little bit of pink might just be your dh getting a little close to the cervix. Have a chat with your midwife but unless you're getting sharp pains and period like flow I don't think you have anything to worry about. And as for abstention.....as long as you're not flinging each other about and going to deep and frantic you should be ok. So jealous, my want for that kind of thing has dipped right off of late.....waiting to get my second wind 😆😆😆

Fluffy475 · 06/08/2018 13:24

@Treaclepie19 that's frustrating as I know you just want some reassurance. Hang in there and maybe a private scan would be a plan just to give you some peace of mind xx

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 06/08/2018 14:21

Sorry you’re meeting so many obstacles treacle x I’m 2 days away from speaking to the epu again and still getting positive tests everyday. I’m very confused as tbh I’ve made my peace with losing this pregnancy but every now and then I’ll get a slight wave of nausea, and I feel so overwhelmingly tired, and think there might still be a chance. I’m hoping by be end of the week we’ll know either way.

Treaclepie19 · 06/08/2018 15:38

I'm so sorry BeeKeeping, I meant to reply.
As above I've heard a lot about spotting or bleeding after sex in early pregnancy.

Thanks ladies.
I've booked a private scan for Friday 17th when I'll be 6+3 (though 7w if you go by short cycles)

Awkward I'm so sorry you're no further forward either :( Ring EPU if it'll reassure you. They won't see me without Dr referral :(

Welcome new ladies :)

monkerina · 06/08/2018 16:27

Welcome new ladies! Treacle, awkward, sorry things are up in the air; lack of resolution is really hard to deal with.

I've got a phone call tomorrow morning with the GP to beg for referral to the EPU for reassurance after 3 previous mcs. Since I set up the appointment I've had some quite strong cramps last night (tmi, after orgasm too Bee) and dull cramps occasionally yesterday and today... Obv convinced I'm miscarrying so constant knickerwatch, nothing so far but 2 of my mcs were missed so??? Tbh it hasn't made me the best mum or employee today!

Rapunzel91 · 06/08/2018 16:28

TMI alert!

Is anyone experiencing bowel movements going from one extreme to the other? I’ve had a few days of really bad bloating and constipation and then today I’ve had to go 4 times! Blush Ho law glamorous! Grin

Rapunzel91 · 06/08/2018 16:31

And Flowers to everyone who is struggeling; it really is such a stressful and difficult time ❤️

Treaclepie19 · 06/08/2018 16:40

Thank you ❤

Yes my digestion is all over the shop. It was the same with my son. I was expecting more of the constant needing to go now I have no gall bladder but apparently not! Thankfully.

Annie264 · 06/08/2018 16:48

Hi ladies, sorry I'm late to the party but please can I join? I got my BFP 10 days ago and due 1st April I think!!

It's my first pregnancy so I don't really know what I'm doing or what to expect! Went to the GP last week, she just took my word for it and referred to midwife who I see a week on Tuesday.

I haven't had any sickness yet but I'm so tired, feel like I have no energy. Is this normal?! Also really thirsty!

So nice to have people to talk to as no one knows yet aside from my husband!

Ohnonotanotherusername · 06/08/2018 17:11

@Annie264 welcome! First pregnancy here too - but I am also absolutely shattered. I'm quite fit and run and walk regularly, but at the moment walking upstairs is enough to wipe me out! Seems like it's a pretty common symptom though.

Fluffy475 · 06/08/2018 17:20

Welcome @Annie264 and yep tiredness is absolutely normal! And the being thirsty. Your body is getting ready so shifting a lot more blood round plus you'll be going to the toilet more so just keep up the fluids and get rest anywhere you can ☺️

Annie264 · 06/08/2018 17:45

Hi ladies, thanks so much, that's made me feel better. I knew tiredness was a symptom but I didn't realise it would be this bad! I'm the same with the stairs or just putting the washing in earlier made me wanna lie down afterwards!!

Nulanoo · 06/08/2018 18:39

It’s such early days for me but I’ve felt tired too. One day last week I lay on my bed and let my children both eat smarties and watch CBeebies on an iPad - Mum of the year!

Treaclepie19 · 06/08/2018 18:58

Welcome Annie :)

Nulanoo I'm totally stealing that idea! My son won't sit still though.
I just had an hour nap while my husband did bedtime. Now I'm awake and drinking a glass of lemonade with juice in.
I'm so tired and emotional today... and dinner can't come quick enough.

Anyone else just craving junk? I'm trying to have a balance but eesh. I also know if things go well I'll likely not eat for 12 weeks so I'm making the most of it.

Ohnonotanotherusername · 06/08/2018 19:03

@Treaclepie19 just demolished 3 packets of salt and vinegar crisps - only thing helping with the nausea!

Treaclepie19 · 06/08/2018 19:07

@Ohnonotanotherusername Oh my gosh. Now I could cry.
We have no salt and vinegar in the house!
We have some ready salted left at least.

sachabloom · 06/08/2018 19:28

Sorry to be gross but how is everyone's CM? I've just had quite a lot (4 weeks), white and milky, just wondering if I should be worried or if it's normal? Xx

Nulanoo · 06/08/2018 19:30

Mine are almost 3 and just turned 4 so easily bribed!

Nulanoo · 06/08/2018 19:43

Do we have a Facebook group or not yet?

Treaclepie19 · 06/08/2018 19:49

My son is also almost 3 but just a little crazy sometimes :p
No Facebook group that I know of!

I have had a lot of CM too. Mine looks almost yellowy/green but that's very usual for me.
I'd say if it's normal for you it's fine. Just watch out for thick and thrush like or a fishy smell.
