April 2019 Babies

LulaRose · 20/07/2018 11:16

Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

Hi everyone, can I join please?

I got a positive pregnancy test on Thursday and I’m just beyond excited! My DP and I have been wanting to try for a year but due to work we could only start trying in July and we very fortunately got lucky on my first cycle, did not expect that! I don’t think I’ve realised I’m pregnant yet as I don’t have many symptoms. All I have is fuller/firmer boobs, occasional bloat, back pain and my memory/speaking has gone! My appetite and energy level is normal and I don’t have any cravings or better sense of smell, boobs are only slightly achy. I’m sure it will kick in when I’m further along!

Stats:
Due: 12 April
Number: my 1st and DPs 3rd
Currently 4 + 2
Age: 27 (DP 37)

Welcome new joiners!

I've got all the bizarre symptoms coming out now. Thought I was imagining it that my hair has got thicker but even my hairdresser commented on it yesterday. My nails have also grown really long and aren't breaking! Amazing how quickly your body reacts.

Other than that I'm just absolutely exhausted. I'm not very good at sitting still and resting so it's driving me a bit loopy.

Treaclepie19 · 05/08/2018 17:16

Welcome new ladies :)

I'm currently lying on my bed with the fan on while my husband does bedtime. Sooo tired.

Going to the doctors tomorrow to ask for a scan... We shall see what they say. It'll be fun trying to get a word in because I'll have to take my almost 3 year old.

Ohnonotanotherusername · 05/08/2018 17:34

Hello! Sorry I disappeared for a bit - we moved house on Friday so everything has been a bit manic. I'm 6+2 now and absolutely exhausted all the time, even walking upstairs leaves me needing to lie down. Anyone else feeling shattered?

Fluffy475 · 05/08/2018 17:36

Welcome all!

Tiredness is really getting to me too. I kind of put it down to my age (39) so just trying to rest whenever I can but it's just irritating me!!

DumbledoresSocks · 05/08/2018 17:53

Thinking optimistically, are you allowed to have DC at the scan? We're planning not to tell anyone until we've got the all clear and anyway our family all lives miles away so childcare may be tricky.

Ohnonotanotherusername · 05/08/2018 17:58

@Fluffy475 Glad to know it's not just me! It's so frustrating isn't it? I have so much to do but absolutely zero energy. Dreading work tomorrow.

Tootyfrooty35 · 05/08/2018 18:55

Feel like I haven't posted for ages but in reality it's probably only a day 😂

Welcome to any newbies ❤️

Feeling generally fine, some twinges and cramps, few spots, greaser hair ( got it all chopped the other day 😁) nd definitely fatigued by mid afternoon but with a 2yo and 3.8yo who wouldn't be 😂

@DumbledoresSocks I think our trust are OK as we took my then 11mo to the dating and anomaly scans and we weren't questioned. Although she did get scared when the lights went off and I breastfed her while having the actual scan ❤️I think this time though I'm inclined not to take them to the dating scan as tbh they're are mad 😂 my youngest would no doubt trash the room and end up crying becasue he couldn't touch everything he wanted. My friend will be happy to watch them for a few hours as she'll be one of the few people we'll tell tbh.
I know some trusts will specifically say no children so check wihh your mw at your booking in appointment, or hve a look on your local mums fb group perhaps?

Tootyfrooty35 · 05/08/2018 18:57

@ohnonotanotherusername congrats on new house 🎉💐 we are putting ours on the market next week 😬

DumbledoresSocks · 05/08/2018 19:08

Thanks @Tootyfrooty35 that's a good idea! Chances are we won't be able to keep it to ourselves that long anyway. We're on holiday with the in laws in 3 weeks and if my last pregnancy is anything to go by, I'll be very sick by then!

Tootyfrooty35 · 05/08/2018 21:07

Oh no, hope you get as sick but yes, tricky when you can't just avoid people 😂

OmmiMama · 06/08/2018 06:04

Hi all. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow (due date 2nd April), I currently have a 16 month old.

I've already had my booking appointment last week (am I the first?!) because we discovered in my first pregnancy I have a blood clotting condition that means I need to be on anticoagulants and monitored right from the start.

A planned baby but still a bit of a shock to go from finding out to answering midwife questions about what I consent to on the scans etc on the same day! It's made it all seem very real - compared to last time when I had three weeks to get used to the idea before I had to see a midwife.

DumbledoresSocks · 06/08/2018 07:35

Hi @OmmiMama wow same day! That's crazy! Do you have earlier scans?

Fluffy475 · 06/08/2018 07:40

Congrats @OmmiMama we have the same due date 😊 I think you are the first re booking in. I'm not booking in until next week and that's only because I'm on hols the week after and my midwife wouldn't wait until I get back! First appointment is always quite overwhelming, just so many questions!!

Is anyone else boiling hot all the time....and not because of the heatwave? I literally feel hotter than the sun!!! 🌞🌞🌞

Nulanoo · 06/08/2018 08:04

Got a positive test this morning. No idea when I was due but I think this is an early line. This will be my 3rd baby. We only just started trying this month 😳

kisses4u · 06/08/2018 08:24

I think the heatwave has made everyone conceive! We managed to conceive on our first cycle with this one too! And conceived DS whilst on holiday! They do say the heat helps!
Congrats to all newbies!
I'm getting sore boobs now symptom wise and an increased appetite! Eating everything I fancy as I know come week 6 I'll have my food aversion set in (if this pregnancy is anything like my last)
We are off on holiday next week to France, totally thought I would be eating all the cheese and drinking all the wine! Not anymore tho Blush

Treaclepie19 · 06/08/2018 08:33

Yes I'm so flipping sweaty all the time. It's driving me insane.

Off to the doctors this morning. Fingers crossed for a scan next week.

I'm doing the same thing kisses4u, eating what I like... but if this all goes pear shaped like I expect then I'll have to go on a diet :p

Tootyfrooty35 · 06/08/2018 09:02

Oh mummas I feel terrible this morning, headache, dizzy, totally drained. All good signs but still... Bleurgh!

Welcome @OmmiMama and @Nulanoo. My booking app isn't til 22/8, I think a few of us are that date. Ours arent done til 8 weeks guessing as miscarriage risk is higher until then 😢
Remembering from last time that I'll get my dating scan date then too.

Stats... 33, husband 35, 2dc.. 3.5 girl& 2 boy, second cycle ttc this peppercorn ❤️

Tootyfrooty35 · 06/08/2018 09:05

@Treaclepie19 good luck at docs.

Does anyone else do slimming world? I've lost two stone since March and sticking to plan atm except cinema popcorn yesterday with my eldest 😂
I pile on pregnancy weight abdv have ha two bigggg babies so will be offered Gtt this time I'm guessing 😔 so doing everyrhei can to keep my diet in check. Difficult when feeling crappy though 🤢

Footymum81 · 06/08/2018 09:18

I've fallen into a cycle of napping in the afternoon but it's causing me to wake at night, won't be able to nap today though as have work 2.30-10.30.
@kisses4u I certainly have a record of falling pregnant during hot weather, DD was conceived August 2003 when we had record-breaking hot weather! And she has several friends born in the same week!

kisses4u · 06/08/2018 09:23

Good luck at the doctors treaclepie! Hopefully they can offer you a scan for reassurance. Although I'm confident for you that all is well and you just had the same thing as me. How you feeling symptom wise?
I'm shattered this morning, DS up early doors and I'm working night shift tonight. I just hope DH is home early enough for me to have a quick kip later!!! Plus we have the builders in the loft for next 6 weeks, so it's pretty noisy all day! Ugh!
My booking in mw app isn't until we get back from holiday so end of August. I will be 8+ weeks by then Smile

Treaclepie19 · 06/08/2018 09:33

Thanks ladies :)

I really hope so kisses4u, I'm getting very tired and I do get nausea on and off. Sore boobs last night.
Nothing majorly obvious though apart from the tiredness.
Eek exciting :) It all seems so far away for now. Were going for 2 nights away for my son's 3rd birthday in early September. We will see how I feel by then :p

Fluffy475 · 06/08/2018 09:59

Nausea really kicking in this morning....sat at my desk drinking ginger tea trying not to throw up on my laptop 😂😂😂

BeeKeeping · 06/08/2018 10:07

TMI altert!!! Read on at your peril....

Have been away from DH for the weekend so was really looking forward to getting home and jumping him last night! Had a very (very) good time... but then afterwards on wiping (and all down my legs) lots and lots of pink (cm? Cum?) afterward and slight cramps. Nothing this morning. Is this normal? Should I worry? Abstain from sex?

I have my first midwife appointment on Wednesday so will obviously check with her too.

Ohnonotanotherusername · 06/08/2018 10:38

@Tootyfrooty35 you have my solidarity! I feel awful this morning, the only thing I can compare it too is really bad jet lag. I'm dizzy and completely drained, just wanted to stay in bed this morning.

My booking appointment isn't until the beginning of September, they do it at 10 weeks here for some reason.
