LulaRose · 20/07/2018 11:16

Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

Thinking of you pitterpatter x I ended up in A&E two years ago with a miscarriage and I was so well looked after, I was in resus where it was a bit quieter and more private, and they never ever left me by myself as dh wasn’t with me. It didn’t really hit me for a few days afterwards what had happened, so please do be kind to yourself. I have a six year old too and mine is full on, but I’m sure your friends will be happy to help with him, even if you don’t want to tell them everything yet x x

Pitterpatter01 · 04/08/2018 16:37

Thank you ladies for your support. My baby has gone. Luckily it wasn’t ectopic and as it was only early days I won’t need any procedures. I have been given strong painkillers because the pain was intense. They said that it will just be a really heavy period with some clots and tissue.
I’m heartbroken and know it’s going to be difficult seeing two other pregnant family members. I’m happy for them and praying there’s go well, just makes it a bit harder for me to come to terms with my loss.
We wanted this baby so badly. I’ve gone from being absolutely ecstatic to completely devastated overnight. Don’t really know what to do with myself.
I really hope that you all have happy and healthy pregnancies, and make sure that you take good of yourselves and cherish every moment of pregnancy (even the dreaded morning sickness).
One day hopefully I will get my happy ending, but for now I just need to grieve for what simply wasn’t meant to be Flowers

Treaclepie19 · 04/08/2018 16:54

I'm so sorry @pitterpatter01
Take care of yourself. There are no words to express how unfair this is and I really hope you do get your happy ending xxx

Fluffy475 · 04/08/2018 17:34

So sorry @Pitterpatter01 be kind to yourself, thinking of you and your dh xx

Pitterpatter01 · 04/08/2018 17:39

Thank you ladies.
Any news from you @Treaclepie19 ? How are you doing?

Thank you @Fluffy475 xxxxx

Treaclepie19 · 04/08/2018 17:48

Thanks for asking lovely, I'm okay. No different at all. I have no clue what's going on. I've had some cramps today but nothing major.
I feel like I'm just waiting for the inevitable.

Pitterpatter01 · 04/08/2018 17:56

@Treaclepie19 are you still bleeding or has that stopped? Really really hope you have good news

Treaclepie19 · 04/08/2018 18:08

@pitterpatter01 no more bleeding since Wednesday. I have no clue what's going on. Thank you xxx

Pitterpatter01 · 04/08/2018 18:49

@Treaclepie19 that’s positive news!! Fingers crossed for you x

LMMEMW · 04/08/2018 20:07

I'm not a big user of this so feel like I'm evesdropping but honestly @pitterpatter01 I'm absolutely devastated for you and your husband. Will be thinking of you both. Hope your keeping best you can xx

Pitterpatter01 · 04/08/2018 20:41

@LMMEMW thank you for your kind words, everyone on here have been so supportive and I’m so glad I recently joined mumsnet.
I feel very vulnerable, empty, hurt and sad. I keep bursting in to tears. I guess that time will heal xx

monkerina · 04/08/2018 21:17

Oh pitterpatter I'm so sorry. Miscarriage absolutely sucks. Be kind to yourself xx

Pitterpatter01 · 04/08/2018 21:20

@monkerina thank you xxx

Braverthanweare · 05/08/2018 08:48

Just after some advice really!
I'm testing every week after a previous early lost, today I've gotten a positive very quickly but it looks fainter? Does that mean something bad?

Fluffy475 · 05/08/2018 09:45

@Braverthanweare I'm no expert but I would say if it came up quicker then hcg levels are higher. I get the concern re the colour but different tests have different dye levels. Can you do digital tests with the no of weeks counter instead?

Braverthanweare · 05/08/2018 09:46

I did one of those last week and got +3 weeks

monkerina · 05/08/2018 09:52

braver try not to pay attention to it- unless you've had any bleeding you're pregnant (a missed miscarriage will not cause hcg to decrease). Also, once the placenta takes over in a few weeks time tests won't work any more (I think!)

EmilyGilmoresCocktailTrolley · 05/08/2018 11:24

Hi all.

I'd love to join please. I've just got a very early positive giving me an EDD of 16th of April.

This will be our third baby. We have a DD3 and our son was sadly stillborn earlier this year.

I'm feeling very nervous and fragile but am hoping by joining in I'll have the best chance of feeling as positive as possible about things.

So sorry to those of you who have already had heartbreaking news Thanks

Look forward to getting to know everyone better.

Braverthanweare · 05/08/2018 11:37

Welcome! Love your username Gilmore Girls is the best!

Footymum81 · 05/08/2018 11:40

Welcome to all the newbies!

Sorry to hear your sad news @pitterpatter01 can't imagine how it feels, take good care of yourself xx

Had my first true 'morning' sickness last night at work. Not good. However I feel a little more secure in my pregnancy and that everything's going ok.
Asked hubby to meet me from work (10.30) last night due to feeling crap. He decided to stay in the pub til then, got stinking drunk and fell over on his way to me, then decided it was all my fault so I should be more sympathetic. Men hey!

sachabloom · 05/08/2018 13:41

How's everyone doing fatigue wise? Xx

DumbledoresSocks · 05/08/2018 16:23

I'm exhausted at the moment. I didn't get fatigue at all during my last pregnancy but then I didn't have a 2yo to contend with!

Treaclepie19 · 05/08/2018 16:28

Also exhausted. By 3pm I could happily go to bed.

monkerina · 05/08/2018 16:30

Also exhausted! Doesn't matter if I've done nothing all day, ready for bed by 4pm. Last pregnancy I regularly fell asleep putting DS to bed 😁

I've also got some twinges going on around the uterus area- not cramps as such, just twinges. Slightly unsettling!

DumbledoresSocks · 05/08/2018 16:38

I've also erupted in spots which is just lovely!
