@AliceRR I had this exact thing last week and it turned out to be ok. I did manage to have a scan the next day, and they couldn't find any reason for the bleed, but said as the placenta sits over the birth canal at this stage the blood could just be from it shifting a little and implanting further, hence the cramping. Sonographer said that as long as there aren't clots they wouldn't worry. I had brown blood for a little while afterwards whenever I'd bear down, but fingers crossed it's all clear now a week later. Try and get a scan to put your mind at ease, but hopefully it will be the same as above 🤞

clairehr · 29/07/2018 06:04

Good luck for your scan this morning @Indix 😊

Susannach · 29/07/2018 06:15

@hayleyfx I’m so sorry to hear about your sad news. All the very best to you, a holiday and a break sounds like a wonderful idea. You sound like an incredibly strong and supportive couple, wishing you all the very best for the future.

emalady · 29/07/2018 06:24

@AliceRR I thought most EPAU scanned 7 days now. We have to be referred. If you bleed more I would try again with 111 or A&E, if not GP Monday, best of luck.

We have told most people now, 12+5/13 depending on if you take ivf or scan dates, sent a WhatsApp to my uni friends group, best mates and immediate family knew all about ivf so have known for a while. Still pretty nervous. Really looking forward to getting some movement I can feel.

1stTimeTina · 29/07/2018 07:05

@alicejj8 YES like every few days, some days I’m fine then others I just sit and worry, I think it’s normal but it doesn’t make it any easier! Our scan isn’t until I’m 13 weeks so a little frustrating I’m having to wait that extra week! We haven’t told parents and I’m getting fed up with lying. I had signed up for a half marathon and people keep asking how my training is going too 🙄

On another note, can anyone recommend any good maternity bras??

Koalatom1 · 29/07/2018 07:34

Any good remedies to help constipation?! My body feels like it’s on shutdown!

Maternity bras-love M&S ones. There’s also another brand that I can’t remember the name of!

Koalatom1 · 29/07/2018 07:35

Hot milk that’s it!

bubblybrit · 29/07/2018 08:11

Thanks @IndiX. Hope your scan goes well this morning x

@clairehr. Oh I’m so pleased that the bleeding has stopped. I’ve been lucky and not had any so far but I can imagine that it would be a worrying time. Hope that’s baby all snuggled in again and you get to see baby wriggling about on Tuesday. Rumours have started at my work as definitely got a little bump which is obvious in my uniform as well. Will tell everyone once I’m back from holiday but colleagues will need to keep guessing for the next 2 weeks! Lol x

@LookingAtTheStars89. That outfit is gorgeous 😀!! Does it not come in blue just in case you have a boy? Will you be finding out the sex? Xx

Yakadee · 29/07/2018 08:58

Does anyone else just not feel like exercising? I don't exactly just sit around all day as I have a 2 year old but prior to getting bfp I used to play netball several times a week and now I don't really do anything! I need to find some energy from somewhere! Is it just me? X

emalady · 29/07/2018 09:04

@yakadee I've been struggling with tiredness really badly, I was sure I would keep running and yoga but I had massively enlarged and sore ovaries with ivf so couldn't run but since embryo transfer and then bfp I've done very little. Planning to go back to pilates and start aqua aerobics but even going for a walk makes me more nauseous still. Really hoping it gets better soon.

Yakadee · 29/07/2018 09:15

@emalady - my nausea seems to have settled a bit this last week (I'm 13 weeks today) so hoping I get my energy back soon. I just feel bad as haven't been eating that great either, poor baby x

Celebelly · 29/07/2018 09:26

I've done bog all in weeks bar walking the dog. I'm hoping to get back to swimming soon though. But some days I've literally just lain in bed all day Blush

Yakadee · 29/07/2018 09:30

@Celebelly - it's so hard isn't it! I'd happily spend more time in bed but my boy won't let that happen lol x

DragonFlew · 29/07/2018 09:34

@yakadee yes! I was so active prior to bfp. Now I'm just so tired all the time! Am hoping once I'm out of the 1st trimester I'll get some energy back and make up for this lazy period! 😂

Fiep · 29/07/2018 09:44

@clairehr definitely get a scan but try not totally worry too much. I had quite a lot of bleeding earlier in pregnancy and I was told that as long as it's not loads and accompanied by bad cramps then it's nothing to worry about. I just sort of got used to it after a few weeks of on-and-off bleeds, and my bub looked perfectly healthy on its twelve week scan :)

Fiep · 29/07/2018 09:45

@yakadee me too omg! It's really weird! Used to exercise most days and now I just want to sit.

Yakadee · 29/07/2018 09:49

@Fiep - I know! Currently sitting down with some biscuits and milk! (Been up since 6) x

AliceRR · 29/07/2018 09:53

@craftymum @clairehr @emalady I googled my local EPU and it said they are open Monday to Friday butyou need to be referred from A&E or GP so not sure how JD get that sorted quickly?

I’m thinking I’ll see how I feel today as that small swipe shouldn’t be anything (?).i went to the loo in the night and there was no more. I haven’t got up again yet to check again! But at the same time I am 12 week tomorrow and that should be a milestone but my first scan is booked in for 10 August which seems to be ages away.

I might call 111 today and see if they can refer me to EPU.

AliceRR · 29/07/2018 09:56

@Baby160P I have had wet and waxy wars since week four or five and it comes and goes but is still there. Went to GP last week and he said it doesn’t look like infection but suggested olive oil drops and then an appointment for syringing but I don’t want to use the drops and it makes me feel gross as it is having all that liquid and wax in my ears 🤮 so not sure what I will do

@hayleyfx so sorry about the heartbreaking news you have had

Camsie30 · 29/07/2018 10:35

Supplements... Can someone remind me. Folic acid till 12 weeks and then what? I now I took something last time but can't remember what!

Celebelly · 29/07/2018 10:38

Vitamin D?

Alicejj8x · 29/07/2018 11:03

@1stTimeTina
It's just such a worry isn't it. I'm sure it's fine and all but I can't help just keep googling lol. I have nausea and gagging on and off and I'm just keeping that as a sign it's all ok. Have my scan tmo so hoping so anyway

Ah that's so annoying I'll be 12+5 on my 12 week scan on 13th August the MW did say anything between 11-14 weeks was normal xx

powkin · 29/07/2018 11:27

@1stTimeTina mine is 13 weeks too, bit annoying! It’ll be our 7 year wedding anniversary so will hopefully be all good and we can tell people after that! I might tell one of my best friends tomorrow as she’s in London for a few days, she lives in HK so it would be really nice to tell her in person but I haven’t decided yet.

AliceRR · 29/07/2018 11:38

@Alicejj8x @powkin My scan is at 13+4! I will be 14 weeks on a Monday and the scan is the Friday before that so about as late as it could be!

Only thing I am telling myself is I can’t change anything by having it sooner although obviously want the peace of mind and to be able to get really excited...

@yakadee yes! I am so not interested in exercise. I suspended my gym membership a few weeks ago as i was paying for something I was not using. Keep telling myself i’ll do a bit of exercise at home but it is not happening...

LookingAtTheStars89 · 29/07/2018 11:39

@bubblybrit. Yes Next do some lovely baby things. They don't do it in blue :-( We are going to find out at 16 weeks, well fingers crossed - that's when we are going to tell people I think. I started off a bit chunky so I can pass off a bit of rounded tummy as being a chunk for a bit longer 😂
