New thread ladies... not long until the first 12 week scans.... mines a week tomorrow!

@powkin oh I feel for you. I nearly had a heart attack when the lady told me I was an F when pregnant with DD.

I have some blooming marvellous soft shell bras they are so comfy and hoping they'll stretch / that my boobs don't get TOO much bigger.... tbh comfort needs to come first esp in this heat!

One happy healthy jumping bean! One day behind original dates so due date pushed back a day until 8th Feb. So relieved.. not to try and relax and enjoy it!

I just got my scan appointment through for my 20-week scan! My health board are nothing if not efficient!

Mine is the 17th!

On the way to the GP to get more antibiotics. On the phone she seemed less than impressed by how the last GP handled it, seemed to feel she’s used the wrong antibiotics and hadn’t tested properly. Great!

Having to rush to get the test done in time for the lab cut off so have taken an Uber but it smells like my absolutely most wretchy smell - stale cigarettes on skin masked by air freshener .

@Celebelly looks like our hospitals are in sync as my last scan was the day after yours!

My hospital is a little community one that only scans Mondays and Fridays so I'm glad they gave me the Monday!

@powkin That sounds grim! Smells are my nemesis. We went away for a couple of days and for some unknown reason DP left a manky cloth in the washing machine (think he had used it to clean up spilled milk). When we came back and I went to put our clothes in, the smell when I opened the door almost made me hurl. I had to flee into the garden and couldn't go near washing machine until he had dealt with situation!

Does anyone else feel like a bit of a fraud?? I know there's a baby in there, but my first trimester symptoms have eased off so I don't really feel pregnant at the moment. We announced on FB last night (see attached pic!) but part of me was like 'all these people saying congrats and what if there's nothing there somehow!' 🤭

@Celebelly completely don't feel pregnant. 10 weeks tomorrow and had a scan Sunday and it's beating heartbeat but today other than feeling hot I feel fine

@Celebelly I am exactly the same, doesn't seem real. I didn't do a Facebook thing last time and probably won't this time for that reason! I just started mentioning it in passing at about 20 weeks and people started to cotton on...

I'm not sure we are going to do a fb announcement either, I can't decide really! We haven't particularly been keeping it a secret anyway, quite a few people know but all close friends.

@Celebelly @powkin smells I can't cope. The bin / dishwasher/
Protein powder / strong fish - all make me heave.

I'm feeling much more normal other than v tired today. We're not doing anything on social media. Didn't last time either although I think possibly a sibling took a pic on Christmas Day (DD born in Jan) on instagram. Each to their own I say!

@maxiflump all ok here too. Waiting on the blood tests (always a worrier but more so because of my great age!) so fingers crossed that those come back ok.

Very wriggly but shy bubba! Turned away every time the sonographer was about to save a picture!

@powkin oh the smells! My worst is coffee breath on the tube, bleugh!!

I'm not doing a FB announcement, but I'll probably do a Twitter announcement later on, so my friends know why I suddenly disappear when the baby arrives!

@Since2016 the sink is really bad for me too. Even if I can’t really smell anything major I’m gagging near it!

We have a list of close friends and family to tell (we have very big families!!)

But we will put it on social media at some point as I'd rather do it myself than someone tag me etc. The way life is now I guess!
