Lovely scan pic @Fredthespider! 😀

Baby160P · 24/07/2018 13:51

May be being silly, first pregnancy.

What do the bloods show up that you have done? Hoping to go to the walk in this week.

Leonora94 · 24/07/2018 13:54

Thanks @Bluelagoon25 have just downloaded it’s really cute x

IndiX · 24/07/2018 13:56

@DragonFlew I'm a personal trainer so I'm pretty fit, before this pregnancy I was running a lot ( did a half marathon in late April) doing a lot of weight training, HIIT style circuits and hot yoga. Since becoming pregnant I haven't been running as much, more doing sprints or short jogs,l ( I just haven't been in the running mindset tbh) and still doing weights and HIIT circuits. I also did a hot yoga class this morning which was great and managed to do it before the nausea hit!
When I was pregnant with my dd I stayed really active, I had more time for the gym then and would go usually 5 times a week doing spinning, circuits, weights etc. I'm hoping my sickness wears off soon so I can get back to my usual exercise routine ASAP! I always say as long as you were doing the exercises before pregnancy then you will be fine during, just listen to your body, not too much core work obviously and take rest when you need it.

Alicejj8x · 24/07/2018 13:59

@buthaina
Ahh yay scan date buddies :)

Baby160P · 24/07/2018 14:04

Exercise wise I haven't made it to the gym since I started this job around Xmas so I was worried to go back when I'm not used to it.

Running around after multiple children at work is all I've done.

Although from September I'm going to take up swimming I think.

Something low impact to do.

craftymum01 · 24/07/2018 14:10

fingers crossed @smellsofelderberries!

Lookingforadvice123 · 24/07/2018 14:11

12 week scan is booked for 14th August Grin still feels like ages but it's the day I turn 12 weeks according to LMP so can't ask for more really. And at least I've had a couple of early scans!

DragonFlew · 24/07/2018 14:21

@IndiX that sounds great! I was worried because I always exercise until fatigue and thought I couldn't do that whilst pregnant.
I work in a gym so I might just ask one of the trainers what's safe.

DragonFlew · 24/07/2018 14:21

@Lookingforadvice123 I'm 12 weeks on 12 August so I'm hoping my scan will be that week too!
Excited to get a date so I have something to look forward to!

Baby160P · 24/07/2018 14:32

@Lookingforadvice123 mine is the same date but I think I'll be 12+4 so almost the same

Alicejj8x · 24/07/2018 15:18

Anyone else gag at the thought of drinking water / gag when drinking water?

Baby160P · 24/07/2018 15:19

@Alicejj8x I've been having more weak squash because I can't bring myself to unless it's freezing cold water. But I drink ALOT of fluids at the moment. Constantly thirsty

jeanzbeanz · 24/07/2018 15:20

I had an urge for a McDonald's caramel frappe and could hardly bear to go (fried food makes me feel so so sick) but thought I'd just go round the drive thru. Well.... As soon as I was looking at the menu I actually felt like eating something so ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Enjoyed it SO much!! Can't believe how much I enjoyed the fries. Hot and salty mmmm.

I'm encouraged - maybe I'm heading back to being my normal (chocolate and McDonald's loving) self?

Alicejj8x · 24/07/2018 15:21

@Baby160P
I can't drink squash as it makes me have a water infection each time 😥😫

It's horrible
I want to
Try and drink good but when I try to have a sip I literal just gag and the thought of drinking it makes me want to throw up! :(
Me too
I'm
Living off orange juice ( not the Squash) Coke or pineapple juice lol

Alicejj8x · 24/07/2018 15:23

@jeanzbeanz
Woohoo gooo you lol!!
Sometimes we just have to give into what we want lol :)

I don't think McDonald's or fast food ever hurt anyone anyway. I always crave a Burger King and have been giving into them loool :)

AliceRR · 24/07/2018 15:32

Junk food - I’ve been having it sometimes - just have what you fancy (within reason)

Exercise - suspended my gym membership as I haven’t been going

Water - I have definitely been drinking less. Water etc just not really appealing to me u less very cold but feel I should try to drink more really

jeanzbeanz · 24/07/2018 15:54

Yeah, I'm pleased with myself for eating a whole meal, definitely not going to beat myself up for it not being a healthy one!! Anything is better than nothing!

I'm not finding drinking easy either, I don't like juice/fizz and water is hard to drink. Definitely helps when it's cold.

SpringfieldMummy · 24/07/2018 16:37

Hi all,

I went on hols and there's a new thread half full already!

I am struggling with this heat, especially with a tantrumming toddler who's not enjoying it either. The holiday certainly didn't feel like a holiday and I've come back exhausted!

In other news I've got constipation, given myself piles from it, and the trapped wind because of it is terrible! Farts could kill and I'm so bloated.

On the plus side I'm only low level nauseous, but craving beige things constantly. I was determined not to put on loads of weight this pregnancy, but just can't stay away from the carbs!

Gave in to my anxiety and had an early scan on Sunday. I thought I was 9+6, but that made me 9+1, I was desperately hoping to be further along not less!

Was lovely seeing the heartbeat though, and we could even make out blood flowing along the placenta, amazing

hayleyfx · 24/07/2018 16:46

Had my scan. Baby is measuring 12 weeks with a heartbeat however there is something wrong despite seeing baby’s legs, arms, even little fingers and little one had hiccups during scan 😥 they’re not 100% sure but the back of baby’s skull is too large. I don’t know what this means. I’m being referred to Aberdeen and have to have several tests. They mentioned spina bifida and I’m thinking perhaps Down’s syndrome but they have no idea what is actually wrong. I’m so sad, confused and lost. I can’t believe this is happening. Sorry for bringing a downer to the thread, will stick around but may have to consider termination if something is seriously wrong 😭

Celebelly · 24/07/2018 16:50

Oh Hayley, I'm so sorry, You must be beside yourself. Hopefully it's something that might resolve itself or not have any bearing on quality of life. When will you be having tests? Do you have to wait for dates or have they referred you straight away?

MakeLemonade · 24/07/2018 16:51

Oh gosh Hayley, what a worrying time for you. When will they do further tests?

DragonFlew · 24/07/2018 16:52

@hayleyfx oh I'm so sorry to hear. Its horrible not knowing what's happening. When are you going for further tests? Hopefully you don't have to wait too long.

I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry - it might be nothing to worry about xx

Wames90 · 24/07/2018 17:02

@hayleyfx I’m so sorry you’re having to be referred elsewhere for answers. Do they know how long it will be before you’ll be seen? I hope you’ve got lots of support at home to help get you through this difficult wait. Sending you lots of hugs 💐

5Makes9 · 24/07/2018 17:14

Hayley that sounds like such a worry. Sending positive vibes and hoping for a positive outcome for you.
