Lovely scan pic xx

Baby160P · 23/07/2018 14:07

What apps do people use to see the baby development?

I have Emma's diary.... as suggested by my doctor.

Alicejj8x · 23/07/2018 14:15

@Baby160P I have ovia & bounty app xx

welshweasel · 23/07/2018 14:39

Lovely scan pictures. Getting excited about mine now, one week today! My nausea disappeared pretty much overnight at about 11 weeks, I’m glad as we are on holiday at the moment and I’m actually able to enjoy it!

Fredthespider · 23/07/2018 14:49

I’ve avoided Emma’s Diary after they appeared in the news for selling data (www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/technology-44794635) I’ve got the Ovia app and I’ve been impressed so far.

emalady · 23/07/2018 14:52

@baby160p I have Emma's diary and Ovia. My husband has one called "Daddy Up" which seems really good for partners and has handy hints like, if she asks you if she looks fat the answer is always no she looks amazing!!!! Nice for him to keep track too as lots of things seem to leave the other halves out.
Jealous for people whose nausea has settled, today is so hot mine is worse again having got quite a lot better. Properly grumpy with it now.

emalady · 23/07/2018 14:53

@fredthe spider, i avoided Emma's diary initally but was sucked in by the offer of free stuff - so weak!!

Baby160P · 23/07/2018 15:05

Ahhhh I will now delete Emma's diary, scary. Now to figure out how to!

I believe you can get a free pack from boots? May be wrong

powkin · 23/07/2018 15:06

@Baby160P I have the baby centre one which is quite good!

Baby160P · 23/07/2018 15:10

@emalady love the daddy idea.

My oh feels a bit left out at the moment as I carry the baby but as I said.... that's nature!!!

I think he is just very excited so that's a lovely idea.

twiglet · 23/07/2018 15:19

@jeanzbeanz best to check with your midwife I was told to keep up taking the tablets for the whole of pregnancy but in Scotland its a combined folic acid with vitamin D and its automatically given to all pregnant women for free.

DragonFlew · 23/07/2018 16:47

I've Got my booking appt next week when I'll be 10+3! Is that a bit late? Oh well, at least I should get a scan date not long after.
In my area they send you a letter for scan so you can't pick a date Unfortuantly! With DS2 the mw also did a home visit the week after booking but before scan - hoping they don't do it because now it's the school hols DS1 will know something is up and I won't hear the end of the questions! Don't want to tell them both until after 12w scan!

Speaking of scans - the pics today are gorgeous! I cannot wait until mine! Such a special moment.

DragonFlew · 23/07/2018 16:48

I'm also like @Baby160P and getting nausea in the mornings with occasional vom, I'm 9+1 today. But the heat is really getting to me, I'm just so sweaty , especially trying to sleep! Urgh when will it be cold again 😂

loumsc · 23/07/2018 16:57

Had my 1st scan today, everything looked good. But I may have to move to a new thread.. they've changed my due date to 30th Jan instead of 1st Feb!!

emalady · 23/07/2018 17:24

lovely scan pic @loumsc,sure you would be welcome to stay, I'm guessing some of the Jan due dates will be popping in Feb and vice versa anyway. I'm assuming I will be over dates as it's DC1 and Mum was over dates with me and my sis. It's my birthday 2 1/2 weeks after I'm due so I'm really hoping I'm not still pregnant then!!

craftymum01 · 23/07/2018 17:38

I have a funny feeling I will end up in the Jan group too. My DS was 3 weeks early which in August was a blessing!

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/07/2018 17:57

DragonFlew I'm craving the autumn and colder weather, I usually love the summer but this is ridiculous.

bubblybrit · 23/07/2018 17:58

Lovely scan pictures @Celebelly and @Yakadee. Both really clear 🙂

bubblybrit · 23/07/2018 18:08

Just seen you scan picture @loumsc. Another lovely pic! You must be so pleased 🙂

Bluelagoon25 · 23/07/2018 18:51

Anyone else feeling guilty that they aren't managing to eat healthy?
Just seems my body is preferring carbs at the moment, I am eating fruit but I do worry that I'm not getting my normal nutritionSad
I have found some 4Head cooling head gels and a head rub which can be used while pregnant if suffering with headaches.
Got my scan next Friday so just trying to focus on that. X

craftymum01 · 23/07/2018 18:53

I have caved and purchased an air conditioner. Can't cope anymore

Fredthespider · 23/07/2018 18:57

@Bluelagoon25 I know what you mean! I don’t normally eat bread but I’m having it every day at the moment. I’m a member at slimming world but haven’t weighed for a couple of weeks, I didn’t want to make excuses for putting weight on but I feel I can tell them after the scan tomorrow.

craftymum01 · 23/07/2018 19:03

I am the same @Bluelagoon25. I am trying to justify all the bad stuff with some fruit and water but I am certainly not eating a balanced diet right now. Hoping this will change once the 2nd trimester hits.
I am also at SW @Fredthespider and feel a bit of a fraud. Have already put on so much weight. My leader knows but no one else does yet. Looking forward to telling them next week so I can stop making excuses!

Camsie30 · 23/07/2018 19:06

@DragonFlew I'm 10+3 today and my booking appointment is on Friday.
I had my harmony test scan today, there is a very wriggly baby in there. It looked like it was doing yoga!!
I'm so bloated l don't know how long I can keep it under wraps for, wish it was the winter to hide in baggy jumpers!!

DragonFlew · 23/07/2018 19:09

@BlueLagoon25 yes! All I have been eating is bread lately! I lost 4.5st at SW 2 years ago and have kept it off - but now I feel sooo bloated, damage limitation will begin in the second trimester I think! 🤣
