We just had our scan! Baby was putting on a right display but sonographer eventually got the measurements she needed. I'm so in love!

@Celebelly such a lovely pic congratulations!

I feel awful today...my office in 37 degrees and basically a green house. I'm worried about over heating...surly if you cant go into a sauna or hot tub sitting glued to a desk sweating all day inst good for you either?!

Tumon · 23/07/2018 10:35

Congrats @celebelly !!

I’m just so over this heat!!! Can’t cope. When is it going to cool down?!? Ahhhhhh

UndercoverLauren · 23/07/2018 10:58

@MrsY87 Twins run in my family so I may well be joining you in the twin club soon...
www.tamba.org.uk has lots of useful information, and may be able to put you in touch with other parents in similar situations.
Both my mum and my aunt had twins on their second pregnancies and lived to tell the tale, so it can be done!

somethingfromnothing · 23/07/2018 11:09

I had my final scan at the early pregnancy unit this morning. Measuring 10 weeks and 2 days so right where I should be. It was kicking it’s wee legs and moving so much! Starting to allow myself to think that this might actually happen!

emalady · 23/07/2018 11:13

@MrsY87, congrats on twins, scary but there is lots of support available. @UndercoverLauren when are you having your scan to find out?
@celebelly - such a lovely pic, you must be really happy!

I can't wait for Friday and my 12 week scan. I should be reassured as my early scans were fine and I sill have some nausea. Was doing a lot better but tried to do a bit more exercise today and feel a bit worse again.

Really sorry for all the ladies who are feeling too poorly or worried to get frisky, I'm definitely more ... excitable at the moment and actually enjoying sex even more than usual. Just tricky fitting it in with work and extreme fatigue!!!

Alicejj8x · 23/07/2018 11:13

Just had my first midwife appointment where they did bloods went through family history blood pressure and wee sample
There was abit of protein found in my urine she said they will
Check it again at 16 weeks. Has anyone else had this or?

Due date is 20th Feb :)

Eyedontknow · 23/07/2018 11:47

@Alicejj8x at my first gp appointment they said there was protein in my urine and I was given an antibiotic. Urine test with midwife found strep B, but I've been told on here not to worry about it yet as it's still early on and it only is a risk when the baby is born. I have a follow up midwife appointment this week, so I'll ask then as well.

I'm nearly 13 weeks and this morning/afternoon/night sickness is still ridiculous. Has anyone who is sensitive to vitamins found one that doesn't make them vomit immediately?

jeanzbeanz · 23/07/2018 11:55

Yesssss I'm 12 weeks today!! Feels like a great milestone!

somethingfromnothing · 23/07/2018 12:01

I found that the only vitamins I can keep down just now are boots own folic acid with vitamin d as they are smaller than the others I have tried.

UndercoverLauren · 23/07/2018 12:18

@emalady The 12 week scan, although I haven't got the appointment through yet.

MakeLemonade · 23/07/2018 12:31

My step-Mum had twins when my brother was 14 months old, it was a hectic first year! She was a routine queen and managed it really well. She didn’t breastfeed for long as it was really impractical and she did sleep train which I don’t think was her natural parenting style but needs must!

By the time the girls were 18 months it was great, they all played together nicely and they’re so close now as adults. You’ll be great! Do you have family support nearby?

Since2016 · 23/07/2018 12:34

Lovely seeing all the scans and reassuring people are making it through!

It's too hot here. More nausea and retching on the tube after feeling much better over the wkend - admittedly still on modified bed rest but still. I'm such a grump but I'm over the heat. I've been ill a lot longer than I was with DD and it's much hotter too. With her I was ill from about week 8-12, this time I'm 9+4 and have been ill since week 6 😡

2 weeks till my scan!

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/07/2018 12:39

Greats news on the scans all!

Ugh I'm still so rough. 8+6 today, midwife appointment is tomorrow, finally, so I (should) get my 12 week scan date. Hope it's for W/c 13th August which is when I actually turn 12 weeks and not for the following week! I'm tempted to say I'm on holiday the week I'm 13 weeks as it's annoyed me that my midwife booking appt is so late - it was 8 weeks with DS and everyone else I know has had it at 8 weeks too.

Those who are 10+ weeks, please give me hope? Are you feeling any less sick? My worst with DS was 9-10 weeks so really hoping this is the same and that this is the worst it'll get, but this pregnancy has been different (ie sickness has been much worse!).

Celebelly · 23/07/2018 12:42

I felt the worst between 8-10 weeks. Nausea disappeared almost overnight!

UndercoverLauren · 23/07/2018 12:44

@Lookingforadvice123 10+3 weeks and the nausea is definitely a lot less.

MakeLemonade · 23/07/2018 12:47

10+1 and the nausea has definitely eased here, I still get periods of it but nowhere near as bad as it was.

fizzledays · 23/07/2018 12:51

Same with me @MakeLemonade, and also 10+1 👋!

clairehr · 23/07/2018 13:00

@celebelly Lovely scan!! Eeek, it's so exciting!

With everyone around 8-12 weeks I'm getting excited to see some more likkle beauties popping up if people share!

jeanzbeanz · 23/07/2018 13:01

Hey can I stop taking folic acid now I'm 12 weeks? One less thing to try and force down...

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/07/2018 13:05

Thank you all this gives me hope! Going to focus on the assumption that I'll feel better soon. It's not dragged in fairness, the time seemed to stand still with DS but this has ticked along nicely.

Baby160P · 23/07/2018 13:22

I'm a lucky one who has nausea first thing in the morning every now and then and had one episode of gagging at the toilet and not being sick which was awful. I feel for you all having it all the time.

I'm just super tired constantly. Could happily fall asleep at work right now 😴

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/07/2018 13:34

What are people eating for dinner? I'm doing our online shop and struggle to find anything I can stomach Sad I usually eat so healthy and lately I just can't...

Yakadee · 23/07/2018 13:39

Had 12 week scan today - all is looking great and baby was wriggling away! They have changed my dd to 3rd Feb so just one day ahead. So happy to see a strong little bub x

Hope everyone is OK today.

hayleyfx · 23/07/2018 13:51

@Celebelly @Yakadee congrats to you both! Beautiful scan pics 😍

My 12 week scan is tomorrow, I’m so nervous 😬 hope bub is okay in there 🤞
