@frenchgal that's great news! Mine is a week tomorrow, I'm counting down the days!

@SuperSharpShooter82 good luck for Sunday Super! Glad to hear your booking in apt went well x

Murphyrocks · 11/07/2018 21:15

That's great @SuperSharpShooter82, glad you can have the birth you want. Load off your mind I bet! I'll probably need anti-D this time too as I'm negative too and it's my 2nd pg.

ladycarlotta · 11/07/2018 21:23

31 seems to be the magic age for March babymakers!
@goatlady5812 I'm in Cotham/Redland but the plan is to move east before baby gets here.

TheWanderlust · 11/07/2018 22:11

Woahhhhhh. So I'm super far behind and didn't even see this new thread pop up (thought the last one was a bit quiet today)

Hope everyone has had a good day. I'm absolutely shattered after having a really unsettled nights sleep last night. Hoping to get a better rest tonight 🙏🏼

frankiefumbles · 12/07/2018 06:37

I don't really know what to do with myself. Massive cramping started at the end of the football which continued through the night. Went to the loo and found the ominous blood and tiny clots. Same this morning and all the same as last year. Can't believe this was only a few hours after seeing the Dr who said it all looked normal. Don't really know what to do. I know some bleeding is normal, but this feels like too much and too crampy. I've got a funeral today so I just have to wait it out but I guess I need HCG tests to see if it's game over.

Shampooeeee · 12/07/2018 06:51

Oh no frankiefumbles I hope that the bleeding calms down. Crossing my fingers for you.

My terrible nausea completely disappeared yesterday. I really hope this isn’t a bad sign. I am still bloated but that might be because I took the opportunity of not feeling sick to eat an excessive amount of carbs.

SuperSharpShooter82 · 12/07/2018 06:53

@frankiefumbles what crap timing when you've already got such a stressful day ahead. You poor thing, you must feel so anxious. Try and keep calm, although I know that must be easier said than done. Put a pad on so you can monitor the blood. Sometimes it looks more when wiping. How are the cramps now? I am thinking of you and crossing all. We are here if you need to talk throughout the day xxx hugs xxx

peonylover22 · 12/07/2018 07:00

@frankiefumbles very sorry to hear that. I really hope the bleeding subsided and also that the funeral goes okay. Thinking of you xx

frankiefumbles · 12/07/2018 07:09

Thanks guys. DH says I'm overreacting (which isn't helpful) but also says that I've done my best and there's nothing I can do either way so it's better to relax (which is marginally more helpful). I can't get my head around why the Dr wouldn't have known.

It's hard to have context in this situation but surely the Dr would have had a clue that there was a problem when he looked yesterday. Surely it can't happen that fast?

Cramping went right through night and I slept on sofa as I felt sorry for myself. It's a bit better now I'm moving about. I've got my fingers crossed it's cos he poked my ovary quite hard with the probe thing, but I realise that it's pretty unlikely. Maybe it will all be fine. I appreciate the fingers crossing but don't hold your breath because it's going to be a while before I can any official feedback on this. I emailed Dr from yesterday in the hope he will answer and say all is normal(!)

Wineandchoccy · 12/07/2018 07:10

frankiefumbles oh no hope you are ok and the bleeding stops and it is nothing to worry about.

frenchgal · 12/07/2018 07:12

@frankiefumbles i am so sorry. What a terribly stressful and difficult day. Rooting for you x

Wineandchoccy · 12/07/2018 07:12

frankiefumbles what kind of scan did they do? Was it using the vaginal probe? I know I bled after having a scan with one of those.

Shampooeeee · 12/07/2018 07:14

Did you have an internal scan? It's possible he could have agitated your cervix.

frankiefumbles · 12/07/2018 07:39

@Wineandchoccy
It was internal and there was definitely a moment when he went for a look at the ovary when it was DAMN sore! Seems like a lot of blood coming out though (tmi?). Can't imagine it would cause continued cramping either. Dunno though because they have that stat about 50% of women bleed in pregnancy etc etc etc. No option but to go with what DH says...worrying won't change the outcome and I know I've done my absolute best for it so nothing more I can do. I'm strangely calm.

Bozley47 · 12/07/2018 07:49

Sorry to hear that @frankiefumbles hopefully things settle down and are all ok. Why don’t you try getting a scan through GP/EPU or a blood test to look at hcg? Hope today isn’t too stressful and you get some answers soon x

ladycarlotta · 12/07/2018 07:53

oh @frankiefumbles how frightening! I really really hope it's just a response to all the mucking about he did inside you, and will subside soon. It does seem strange that things would go wrong so quickly when it looked fine on the scan.
Terrible timing with a funeral as well. Lots of hugs and good vibes for you, surely you would be forgiven for slipping away as soon as is decent? Just curl up and take care of yourself.

Wineandchoccy · 12/07/2018 07:59

frankiefumbles I really hope it is just the prodding that has caused the bleeding when I had an internal probe they gave me a pad to put on in case of bleeding and had period like pains as well.

mostimproved · 12/07/2018 08:12

@SuperSharpShooter82 good news about the appointment and glad you get to have an ELCS! I'm also going to be requesting one so hopefully I get the same answer!

@Shampooeeee my nausea has gone this morning which did worry me but my boobs are still really sore so reckon it's just hormones going up and down. Enjoy it in case it comes back with a vengeance in the next few days! I had pizza last night with the foot ball so I think maybe it's because I still have a full stomach in the morning.

@frankiefumbles sorry to hear about the bleeding but fingers crossed it's just to do with the internal scan, definitely sounds like it could be. Hope the funeral is ok too and you can manage to get some rest today.

HidCat · 12/07/2018 08:15

@frankiefumbles I'm so sorry you're having this, and today of all days. I'd get yourself checked out as soon as you can today at least so you know exactly what's going on. I'm keeping everything crossed for you that this is just one of those random bleeds and all is fine. xxx

ladycarlotta · 12/07/2018 08:33

@mostimproved @shampooeeee I've definitely noticed my nausea fluctuates from day to day. I'm coming to think it's normal, and like mostimproved says, just make the most of the times I don't feel completely cruddy.

I slept really badly last night and kept dreaming about my scan tomorrow - mostly that there were TWO in there. This had better not be a spooky premonition; I'd really prefer not to have twins. Probably why I had the dream.

Bluebelltulip · 12/07/2018 08:49

Hope things calm down for you @frankiefumbles.

My sickness seems to be alternating days this week, also now getting sore boobs and my DD keeps snuggling into them which I don't want to discourage but hurts.

SuperSharpShooter82 · 12/07/2018 08:50

Who has scans tomorrow? Is it @ladycarlotta and @Bozley47? Anyone else?

@ladycarlotta do twins run in your family? My mum was a twin and I have always been scared of getting two for the price of one! Not that I would mind, its just a daunting thought, all I want is a healthy baby.

I am having another bacon roll for breakfast. The guy in the cafe said "hello again" CRINGE! But I am eating it proudly today as most of my office is hungover after the football so we are all eating crap!

ladycarlotta · 12/07/2018 08:59

@supersharpshooter82 my dad has twin brothers, and I understand it can pass down the generations on the paternal side, but to be honest I don't particularly expect twins. Obviously I wouldn't love two babies less, but you're exactly right, it's bloody daunting. The increased health risks in pg, and then bringing home TWO newborns when I don't even know how to care for one. Mind you, a friend of mine is one of two sets of twins born 18 months apart (!!!!) and she and her siblings are a brilliant gang, so maybe it's OK on the other side.

I am so inspired by your bacon roll breakfasts. Every time I read about them I get a craving. I'm going to get some bacon in for the weekend.

Friday scan fistbump, @Bozley47 and anyone else who's going for one. I'm more excited than nervous, for some reason. I've been quite reticent and pragmatic about my expectations for this pregnancy, because of my previous losses, but suddenly I feel all giddy! fx it's fine. I really hope they don't do an internal though.

Baby160P · 12/07/2018 09:19

@frankiefumbles sorry to hear this. I hope it was just the prodding about that has caused this. I have everything crossed for you 🤞🏼

Baby160P · 12/07/2018 09:21

@frenchgal we're very in syn.
I too am 31. I had a early private scan Monday and was 7 weeks exactly so 7+3 today.
