@FrankieFumbles I had a 5 week scan with baby 1 and although it’s just a tiny blob, it’s still you baby! Congrats that it’s in there, there will be more to see next time anyway!

ladycarlotta · 11/07/2018 15:48

SuperSharpShooter82 · 11/07/2018 16:14

Oh @RedRobin7 I'm so sorry. I'm pleased you told your mum and that you have support around you. I'm also pleased you have one off to rest and begin to process what happened. I will be thinking of you and am confident that in time you will get your sticky bean. All the best my lovely, stay strong xxxThanks

crazyhorseylady · 11/07/2018 16:26

I'm so sorry to hear the news @RedRobin7. Do take as much time off as you need. I'm really glad to hear your mum is being so supportive. xx

Baby160P · 11/07/2018 16:27

RedRobin7 I’m so sorry to hear your news I hope telling your Mum has eased some of the pain.
I found it helpful to talk about it, take care and I hope you have good news very soon x

Goatlady5812 · 11/07/2018 17:47

@redrobin I am so very sorry. I really am. My heart broke for you when I read that. Take all
The time
In the world that you need to recover. Sending you so much love x

Sarahandduckarehigh · 11/07/2018 17:53

@redrobin7 I am so desperately sorry to hear that. It is so unfair; and particularly given it's your second loss. Take the time out you need and look after yourself. Xx

@lilyblue5 My understanding of the advice is that if you are used to exercising regularly, then you are safe to continuing doing it. But if you're a couch potato like me, you're not supposed to start exercising when you're pregnant. Which is disappointing as I was looking forward to that 10k Grin (not!)

orangekitkat13 · 11/07/2018 18:03

@RedRobin7 sending you lots of hugs. Take care of yourself and lean on your family for support as much as you can. Xx

peonylover22 · 11/07/2018 18:39

@lilyblue5 I agree with what @sarahandduckarehigh said. The key is to do what you’re already doing with some adjustments. Watch out for overexertion (you should be able to maintain a conversation doing whatever you’re doing and don’t push yourself above 6 or 7 /10 exertion levels). Also watch out for overheating and hydrate more than normal. You can do abdominal exercises but no crunches or sit-ups, no twisting either. Leg raises are safe, as are planks and side planks. Once you get to 20 weeks no lying on your back, so switch to things like superman exercise at that point

RachaelT · 11/07/2018 19:00

Had only enough spaghetti for DHs tea so I had chicken and tomato sauce with loads of spinach in... and it was delicious!

I did however miss my mouth and got a blob of sauce on my top to which hubby asked if he should buy some bibs now 🤣

HidCat · 11/07/2018 19:24

@RachaelT mine is statutory as well. Last time I took 4mths maternity and then had annual leave at the end but this time we'll have a greater childcare implication. I earn more than OH though so may swap with him as we'll get an extra £300 a month that way.

Murphyrocks · 11/07/2018 19:34

Just adding my sympathy to the bunch @RedRobin7, horrible news but glad to hear you're taking some time to recover. xx

Bozley47 · 11/07/2018 19:41

@RedRobin7 sorry to hear your scan didn’t have positive results today. Really hope if you decide to try again in the future that things work out well for you. I hope you have a peaceful two weeks off work and feel better soon xxx

In other news, morning sickness is now just as bad as I remember with my daughter. The constant nausea and the uncertainty of symptoms are hunger related or needing to be sick related. So I alternate between eating alll the carbs (poppadom crisps mainly) and then spending time in the bathroom. It’s so glamorous. Xx

thefirsttimer · 11/07/2018 20:28

@RedRobin7 so, so sorry to hear your news Red SadThanks. Life can be so cruel. So pleased that you decided to tell your mum, I hope you're getting all the support you need and deserve. Huge hugs to you xxx

SuperSharpShooter82 · 11/07/2018 21:03

Had my booking in appointment this afternoon and all went well. 12 week scan booked in and some other appointments (I have to have the gestational diabetes test as it runs in my family, although last pregnancy I was fine, and anti-d as I'm rhesus negative). The best news though is that I told them I want an elective c-section after last EMCS and they didn't even try and push a VBAC. So a consultant is going to call me to talk through and a date will be arranged nearer the time! So relieved!!!

Great news about your scan @frenchgal! Mine is Sunday when I am 7+2 and I so hope all is ok!
