Into months 7 and 8 of our pregnancies now.. this will most likely be our last 'pregnant' thread before we all have our babies!!

How did we get here? Feels like just yesterday we were waving hello from the TTC boards.

If anyone new would like to join please do, we also have a very busy (private) Facebook group for everyone due in August 2018.

@Youcantbesirius
Omg she’s so cute!!! She has so much hair! Hope the elective went well and you are coping well after birth. She looks very healthy and squishy! Xx

somersetsinger · 01/08/2018 07:58

Ahhhhhh. Congratulations Sirius. She looks serene.

Cantstopworryingaboutit · 01/08/2018 10:33

I can't remember what my original username was on here, I have lost track since joining the Facebook group!

I had dd at 38 weeks on Sunday, hoping to be discharged today Smile

Emmasmum2013 · 01/08/2018 11:23

Congratulations @YouCantBeSirius!! That's fantastic and she looks so lovely. Hope she's being a good girl for you!

And congrats to @Cantstopworryingaboutit!! Hopefully you'll be getting home and settled today :)

It's finally August!! And they're coming thick and fast already! X

MamOfFrankie · 01/08/2018 11:32

38+1 and just holding to the fact that I will have a baby this month. Why do the last weeks take so long?????

BertieBotts · 01/08/2018 11:48

Yep, so weird that I will have a baby this month! I mean I know he technically could come in early September as I'm due late enough, but it's seeming pretty unlikely at this stage.

GKite · 01/08/2018 12:38

How do I be added to the FB group please

Peregrane · 01/08/2018 13:02

Happy to announce that Baby Peregrane arrived on Sunday! Nothing about the birth went as planned, save having a baby at the end, and I do not recommend a 20 minute labour from start (well, 4cm dilated and no real contractions) to finish (baby in my arms)... but we emerged healthy at the other end.

Fingers crossed for everyone else!

CabbagePatch91 · 01/08/2018 13:05

Hi all,

I'm due 28th of this month (scary!) feeling pretty worried about the impending pain of labour no matter how hard I try to be positive Blush.

I'm not sure how to message on here - would someone mind giving me instructions on how to join the fb page?

somersetsinger · 01/08/2018 13:17

Congratulations Cantstop and Peregrane.** 20 minutes is surely approaching world record speed! Hope all is well for all of you.

Due date is tomorrow and all these new babies are making me impatient. Must try and chill.

Emmasmum2013 · 01/08/2018 13:57

Wow congrats @Peregrane!!!
20 minute labour?! That's crazy! So glad you're all ok :) x

Gizzymum · 01/08/2018 14:41

Wow @Peregrane !!! I thought DS1 was fast at 1hr 50. 20mins must have been quite a shock!!!! Hope you're doing okay.

Gem173 · 01/08/2018 16:47

Congratulations on the baby’s that have come since I last spoke! 20 mins must have been a shock @Peregrane!

Hello @Cabbagepatch91
I have exactly same fears and am due 29th aug! I know we can do this despite the fears we have. Just stay positive!

MamOfFrankie · 01/08/2018 16:53

Anyone got any tricks for shifting a back to back baby? Little tinker decided to spin herself round yesterday for my midwife's appointment and has thus far refused to move back :(

TheGrumpySquirrel · 01/08/2018 17:19

@MamOfFrankie lean forward at all times even when sitting eg use a ball instead of a chair. All fours during labour. Strong suspicion mine is also back to back and has been since 30w...

peterpanwendy · 01/08/2018 19:36

@Peregrane oh my goodness! Congratulations! 20 minutes labour is the dream, did you make it to the hospital? X

Hope everyone’s day went well. Friday tomorrow!! Only 5 more days left at work!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/08/2018 19:53

Yay for Friday. 3 more working days for me Grin

BertieBotts · 02/08/2018 20:01

Well I've had an eventful day.

Drama with the pram/carrycot/car seat adaptors where they became suddenly impossible to get hold of and/or ridiculously expensive - now solved as I managed to order one set from the UK and another using a comparison site.

Called doctor's office to find out if my GBS results were back since they said they'd call me on Mon/Tue and nothing. Apparently they came back positive which is a bit annoying but no big deal - though I do wonder when they were planning to tell me? Confused What if I'd gone into labour?

Realised that while I have paid for DS's one holiday activity this summer, I haven't filled in the form which might be why they haven't confirmed anything with us - oops. Will be seeking out a printer in town tomorrow... also starting to go a bit stir crazy so I think we'll go out to Brunch in the morning.

Gem173 · 02/08/2018 20:09

Wow that does seem very busy @bertiebotts! Glad you managed to find a car seat adaptor in the end. Something you don’t have to worry about last minute!
It’s stupid your doctor didn’t ring you! I don’t know what they expect you to do if you had not found out!
I hope you have a nice brunch tomorrow definitely sounds like you deserve it!

BertieBotts · 02/08/2018 20:53

Well we still don't have an actual car seat as we had to send it back Grin

Emmasmum2013 · 03/08/2018 10:36

Had midwife appointment this morning. Baby is engaged and all is well.

Next appointment is booked for when I'm 39+2. Don't know if I'll make it that long!!

GKite · 03/08/2018 14:55

Hello, had another growth scan at 38&2 baby weighs 7lb 4oz. My smallest baby then, 5 days to go but I wish they'd just section me now 😴

Gem173 · 03/08/2018 20:43

@Emmasmum2013
@Gkite
