Into months 7 and 8 of our pregnancies now.. this will most likely be our last 'pregnant' thread before we all have our babies!!

How did we get here? Feels like just yesterday we were waving hello from the TTC boards.

If anyone new would like to join please do, we also have a very busy (private) Facebook group for everyone due in August 2018.

@Gem173 your growth chart and scan reports are different to mine. Yours don't seem to show weight anywhere. 🤔

BertieBotts · 29/07/2018 13:03

Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about it. The measurements are notoriously unreliable so even if they had told you they are likely to be wrong. If they have concerns then they'll advise you what they intend/wish to do about it and you can ask further questions then.

GKite · 29/07/2018 13:33

Growth scans for my other children were bang on so can't see why it'd be different this time around.
I'm just panicking about everything, if you've seen my other thread in the pregnancy section you'll see my hospital has basically neglected me and left me to deal with thinking that 2 movements a day is fine x

GKite · 29/07/2018 18:31

How is everyone? I'm at a little mix concert and I'm bloody knackered 🤣

louella99 · 29/07/2018 20:01

Hi everyone, tend to lurk a bit but am crawling out of the woodwork now that I'm on maternity leave! So nice to be off. Lovely to see everyone's pictures.

I'm 35+3 now. Baby is breech.. has been in the same position for weeks (have had scans). Have another scan at 36 weeks and then we'll start making a plan. Looked at spinning babies and have tried a few things but they're so uncomfortable! End up with all the blood rushing to my head etc! Advice welcome

somersetsinger · 29/07/2018 20:52

Hi GKite, it sounds like you're having a really tough time. Can you go to a different hospital with your concerns? Any NHS birthing unit should check if you've had reduced movement.

It sounds like your oldest two were quite big babies, but maybe no.3 is just little?

Gizzymum · 29/07/2018 21:45

@GKite I was just wondering if all of your kids had the same dad - purely because this may be a reason for this baby measuring a bit smaller? I did a quick read of your other thread and vaguely remember you saying at least one of your other kids wasn't your current partners. Just thought this may help you get a bit more comfortable with the size difference. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Gizzymum · 29/07/2018 21:46

@GKite (and I didn't mean to be nosey, and don't expect an answer to my last post - just throwing the idea out there was all I was doing).

peterpanwendy · 29/07/2018 22:16

@GKite I had a ticket to little mix last Sunday that I begrudgingly let go (couldn't even sell it!) because I didn't think I could handle all those hours of standing in a field and the late night. Hope you had a lovely time you are tougher than me!
Sorry to hear you've had a tough time, could you travel to another hospital to be monitored/ask for advice? X

I am so impressed that you've managed a concert GKite! I am currently moving from one seat to another trying to get comfy and even that feels like too much effort!

Currently 37+6 and (tmi) had bloody mucus when wiping this morning but no other indicators that anything is going on. The final countdown is so hard!

GKite · 30/07/2018 11:04

@gizzymum my first born isn't my current partners, my second is my partners as is this one. So my third his second, it could be that the EFW is wrong and everything is fine but just panicking as usual
The nearest hospital is 4 hr away so that's not do able Sad
It rained at little mix but was brilliant! Never expected such a big group to come to the highlands so I'm glad I went as I know they probably won't be here again, more monitoring at the hospital today but I read over my notes and they haven't even wrote that I turned up for my ctg on Friday Angry completely useless

Emmasmum2013 · 30/07/2018 17:49

@MamOfFrankie
Last time for me I went into labour 24 hours after I'd had a show. So fingers crossed for you, hopefully it won't be a long wait now!!

StrawberryLemonade · 30/07/2018 18:13

Just marking myself back on the thread - keep losing it! Sorry haven’t had time to keep up since baby arrived. Can’t believe she’s 2 weeks old tomorrow.

peterpanwendy · 30/07/2018 18:41

@StrawberryLemonade how's the feeding going? Did you get the TT snip? X

OP posts:
peterpanwendy · 30/07/2018 18:43

@GKite glad you had a lovely time at the concert, I am really jealous I missed out!

@MamOfFrankie ahh that's a good sign, are you hoping this is the start of it all?

OP posts:
StrawberryLemonade · 30/07/2018 19:40

peterpanwendy yes we did it was done a week ago now. We ended up paying privately to have it done sooner as I was struggling so much to feed. She’s feeding well now although I’m stuck using nipple shields for the moment which is a bit of a pain. She’s still having some ebm top ups too but I might reduce these if her weight gain is good tomorrow. Expressing is a pain too and I think I now have a little too much milk although better this than not enough. I think there’s nearly 3 litres of breastmilk now in the freezer!

I really feel for everyone who is pregnant and uncomfortable. Although my PGP hasn’t totally gone and my back is sore I’m more comfortable than when I was pregnant!

peterpanwendy · 30/07/2018 20:51

@StrawberryLemonade so glad it's sorted and she's feeding better. I've heard good things about the nipple shields and just remember they're only temporary! That's such a good supply of milk, well done! Definitely better to have too much Grin

Hi guys 👋🏼 I was on the first couple of threads then dropped off. I'm due in 3 weeks and fed up already. Any tips for coping? Got one more week of work... just soooooo grumpy and want this baby out!

Emmasmum2013 · 31/07/2018 10:26

Hi @TheGrumpySquirrel!
3 weeks for me too, I've finished work but now I'm just constantly googling things like "signs of early labour" 😂 I have none of the signs unfortunately.

I think work was a distraction and now I'm just playing the waiting game. The baby's kicks are really starting to hurt, and the ligament pain is bad too. You know it's bad when you're looking forwards to labour!

GKite · 31/07/2018 11:09

@peterpanwendy they only stayed on for an hour though was quite disappointing.

Who is next to have a baby? I've got 8 days 😬 xx

peterpanwendy · 31/07/2018 11:14

I think I've finished packing my hospital bag... took so long! I hope I've remembered everything. Seems like there's so much for me, a couple of things for Dad and just a few things for baby, I feel like I need more for baby but I don't know what?!

OP posts:
Gem173 · 31/07/2018 13:40

I think @youcantbeserius was next to have a baby xx

MamOfFrankie · 31/07/2018 15:34

Finally got the last bits for my hospital bag today too :) 38w midwife appointment and she is now 3/5 engaged so things are moving along. Booked a sweep in for 2 weeks time but I would desperately love to meet her before then.

BertieBotts · 31/07/2018 18:06

What have you got already, wendy? DH and DS keep sneaking more teddybears into the bag... Hmm Grin

I keep losing track of my bump in space and hitting it on things Blush I have really crap spatial awareness anyway let alone with this part of me which isn't supposed to be there!

YouCantBeSirius · 31/07/2018 23:08

I was due 1st of August but had my DD 4 days ago by elective. Here she is!
