Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

@Murphyrocks My one looks really dodgy from the outside, it's not in the best part of town so that's probably why it's cheaper. Reviews were good though so I assume it's one you shouldn't judge from the outside! It feels like the end of July is ages away. I hope it comes around quickly. If my dates match this time I will be so relieved! 🤞

Murphyrocks · 26/06/2018 09:43

@Nettymummmy congrats - fx it sticks for you this time! I know what yuiu mean x about the tingling my belly has felt 'different' since ovulating but couldn't out my finger on it.

@RedRobin7 yeah it's not in the most salubrious area here either, but as you say good reviews so I went with that. Does feel like forever away but hopefully it'll go fast! Had a stronger test again on ic and tmep continues to rise so hopefully that'll keep me going crazy in the meantime!

thefirsttimer · 26/06/2018 10:33

Morning everyone! The nausea has hit me like a train this morning Envy. I've had it over the past week but today was the first day I had to run to the bathroom! Didn't actually vomit but I have wave after wave coming over me even now! I've found it definitely gets worse when I have an empty stomach, anyone else?

Hi and congratulations to the newcomers! I'm too lazy to tag you all sorry Grin

My scan (booked for 19th July) was a bargain! There's a place near to us that I know a lot of people have been to during their pregnancies that do them for £49. Was planning to book that in another week or so - but happened to see the very place on Groupon with the early reassurance scan for only £29! As it was the place I was going to go away and it has great reviews, I snapped it up!

thefirsttimer · 26/06/2018 10:42

So my post was full of typos and awful grammar! Is it too soon to blame baby brain?!

Murphyrocks · 26/06/2018 10:52

Haha, not too early at all @thefirsttimer, and that's a right bargain! Yes nausea definitely worse on an empty stomach - I find the ginger tea settles me enough to get some food down then I feel a bit better. It seems to be getting worse through the day this time though, last time I woke up with it and it got gradually better through the day. Weird!

SuperSharpShooter82 · 26/06/2018 11:01

Morning March-ers! Wink

Hello, congratulations and welcome to @Nettymummy, @BeautifulSlang and @frankiefumbles! Hoping for healthy pregnancies for all of us!

Good luck with the scan today @Goatlady5812!

I still don’t really have any symptoms (didn’t with DD) but I was super emotional last night (I cried at DH because I was hungry!) so maybe that is a sign. Also feel minor nausea if I haven’t eaten.

I took my last FRER this morning and the test line is now darker than the control line! Definitely the darkest line yet so that has made me feel a bit better. Still so anxious – just want to get to the 20 week scan! Maybe then I will relax a bit!

thefirsttimer · 26/06/2018 12:00

Murphy I wonder could it differ between sexes? I know there's an old wives tale about morning sickness being worse with girls!

Ooh Super I like "March-ers" can we keep that Grin. Glad to hear about your line, and glad it's made you that bit more relaxed. Obviously being a first timer I'm no expert, but I'd hazard a guess that being emotional is pretty high up there on the list of common symptoms!

Yes good luck with your scan today Goat let us know how you get on!

frankiefumbles · 26/06/2018 12:03

@Super I cry at my husband usually if I haven't had food 🙈 (first world problems!)

frankiefumbles · 26/06/2018 12:04

How are you guys choosing the date for your scans? I know there is an issue with booking too early in case there is no heartbeat and it makes you think there is something wrong with the bean. But of course we are all keen to get it done ASAP just to check it's not all a hoax!

SuperSharpShooter82 · 26/06/2018 12:05

Hi @firstimer - sorry to ruin your theory but I had a DD and had zero sickness last time! Wink Although I did crave sweet food which someone told me was a thing for girls Hmm

SuperSharpShooter82 · 26/06/2018 12:07

Hahaha @frankie!

I booked my scan with Window to the Womb as some others mentioned and will be 7+1. Last time I had a scan at 5+3 and they saw a heartbeat - so I really hope its OK this time! The website said they do viability scans from 6 weeks.

SuperSharpShooter82 · 26/06/2018 12:08

Should have clarified that the scan I mentioned above was internal and with the EPU as I had a bleed.

Murphyrocks · 26/06/2018 12:24

@frankiefumbles I've never had a private scan before but did some research and apparently they should be able to detect a heartbeat between 6 and 8 weeks, so I booked mine for 8 weeks exactly with fx they can find one! As @SuperSharpShooter82 they do them from 6 weeks so it's really up to you but that's how I made my decision.

@thefirsttimer I Had pretty bad morning sickness with ds but pretty sure it didn't start until about 5 weeks, I'm only 4 weeks tomorrow so really hoping that doesn't mean it's going to be even worse this time! Although a DD would be most welcome, our family is pretty y chromosome heavy at present 😉

@SuperSharpShooter82 I'm out of FRERs and can't justify buying any more but did an IC this morning (planning to do them every 2 days until hcg gets too high) and it was definitely darker than the 2 prior ones, although still much more faint than the FRERs from 2 and even 3 days ago! Hadn't realised how much more sensitive they are!

thefirsttimer · 26/06/2018 12:31

Super you've debunked my myth already then Grin. My SIL craved sweets through her pregnancy... with my nephew GrinGrin

Frankie I've booked mine for when I'll be 7+6 so I figured that should be far enough along to see something. Like Super said at my place they offer them from 6 weeks onwards!

Did you know as early on last time too Murphy? Maybe that's part of it, you're more aware now? I've always said I would love a DS first (and my family is very Y chromosome heavy too!), but now that we're here I really don't mind at all - the old cliche of as long as they're healthy (and stick 🙏) springs to mind!

BeautifulSlang · 26/06/2018 13:17

I'm experiencing really bad period type pains today and a bit of bleeding, mostly brown but the odd streak of red, and boobs not as tender as yesterday. Naturally thinking the worst :( Is it worth me doing another test? Not sure how it really works, and if it is a CP how soon would I know?

Murphyrocks · 26/06/2018 13:39

@BeautifulSlang I'm so sorry to hear that - with my CPs the tests fading over the next couple of days. Do you have a recent one to compare against? Doesn't sound too bad yet though.

@thefirsttimer yes there may well be something to that, although I knew on the day af was due the first time and 2 days before this time so not that much different. I wasn't charting then though so didn't realise I actually have a very short lp so I probably wasn't as far along as I thought & my due date was probably inaccurate. It ended up being quite important as they wanted to induce me when I was 'late' which I fought but actually I was probably less late than they thought.

SuperSharpShooter82 · 26/06/2018 14:37

@BeautifulSlang I don't want to give you false hope - I am not a Dr so can't say what is happening - however I bled throughout my pregnancy with DD. the first bleed was implantation spotting and then I bled almost every three weeks with heavy bleeds at 6, 8 and 14 weeks. Often it was brown but sometimes it was bright red. The midwives told me only to worry if I was soaking through pads. Try to keep calm, I know that is probably not possible, but don't automatically think the worst. The body is a strange thing. We are all routing for you xxx

thefirsttimer · 26/06/2018 14:51

Beautiful I'm keeping everything crossed for you that this will be nothing to worry about. I would probably do a test in the morning and then just monitor things over the next couple of days? I'm no expert at all though having never been through this process before. Hopefully you will be similar to Super and it will all be absolutely fine. Definitely routing for you xxx

frankiefumbles · 26/06/2018 15:16

I was told last time, as @Super, apparently if it's less than a pad full it's fine. It may be an idea to get some pads just so you get an idea of what sort of amount you are talking about and over what sort of time period. That would be my first call if I was worried.

It might be that actually it's reassuringly little. There's an obvious downside if it turns out to be a lot though 😞 fingers crossed it's all okay for you. Keep sharing and let us know x

Just for reference for others who might be worried in the next few weeks, if you phone the Dr they will likely give you a phone consultation and get you in for a couple of blood tests that check that your HCG is rising normally.

BeautifulSlang · 26/06/2018 15:43

Thanks all for your reassurance. Gradually throughout the day it's been fresher, red blood and just had a small clot. It's not enough to soak through pads, but being an anxious person I've phoned the Dr's for some advice and have an appointment at 5.

Super, how many days after AF did you have implantation bleeding?

Thank you all 😘

SuperSharpShooter82 · 26/06/2018 17:14

@frankiefumbles pad idea is a good one. Sometimes it looks less when you're not wiping and constantly checking! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻for you lovely xxx

SuperSharpShooter82 · 26/06/2018 17:15

The first bleed was a few days after AF should have been - I thought it was AF and it lasted four days!!!

Murphyrocks · 26/06/2018 17:46

How did your appointment go @BeautifulSlang? Thanks for the info too re Dr's @frankiefumbles, I didn't know that but having had 2 cps it's useful info.

BeautifulSlang · 26/06/2018 18:39

Didn't go as we'd have wanted. Dr did a test which came back negative Sad Absolutely heartbroken. So confused by it all though - I had a negative result on the 20th, and then a positive on the 24th (day after AF due) and 2 positives yesterday. They were all done on a First Response stick though which I've heard are sensitive. I guess if it's not showing on a Dr's test a few days after AF due then it's most definitely a negative.

Thanks for all you're messages of support, it means a lot. I'm now gonna stuff mý face with a Two for Tuesday Domino's.

Wishing you all success if your pregnancies and fingers crossed I'll be joining you soon. xx

Murphyrocks · 26/06/2018 18:58

So sorry @BeautifulSlang, was that a blood test? Maybe briefly pg but it wasn't viable? Very common in the first couple of weeks. Personally I'd keep doing morning tests until they come back negative just in case but understand that might be too painful. Hope you'll be joining us very soon. xx
