Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

Just been for a night out (which these days is a quiet meal and home at 11pm!) with DH. So many posts to catch up on so apologies if I don't reply to all properly.

Murphy that sounds very scary, I'm sorry you had to go through that and glad your DS is ok now.

First I hope the complications don't cause any problems, as I said before, reply hope we are all ok and get to go on this journey together.

Red you poor thing, I completely understand why you are so nervous and frightened. That is a lot to go through and it will take time to get over. Please let out all the anxiety and crazy here, that's what we are here for! xxx

I'm going to test again again tomorrow morning. Hoping for an even darker line and then going to step back from the pissy sticks! Will book a 7/8 week scan of n Monday too.

Wineandchoccy · 24/06/2018 02:51

red sorry to hear that it’s awful and you can never relax afterwards. I had a mmc discovered at my 12 + 5 dating scan in 2014 it was horrible but a few months later I fell pregnant with dd who is now 3. The first 12 weeks were nerve wracking but once I had my scan I relaxed a tiny bit until the 20 week scan and then once I felt movement I started to enjoy the pregnancy. Good luck we are here to sound any worries you have.

Wineandchoccy · 24/06/2018 02:54

murphy that must have been very scary glad ds is doing well now.

super we are currently on holiday and we’re in bed for 9pm last night that’s how much of a riot our Saturday night was Grin

thefirsttimer · 24/06/2018 06:07

Red are you anywhere nice on holiday? Hope you're enjoying!

Super let us know how you get on this morning with your test Smile

I've just done a CB digital and got 2-3 weeks, which is exactly what the leaflet says it should say at this stage. Allowing myself to take it as at least a tiny bit of reassurance! Also the reason I'm awake at this time (after already being up at 2am to pee Grin) is because of nausea! It's actually quite bad to be honest, I felt it like a wave as soon as I stirred a little. Taking that as a good sign too though?!

SuperSharpShooter82 · 24/06/2018 06:35

That's great news First!!

I'm not feeling so great about my test... the lines are still dark but it's no darker than Fridays. Also, I don't feel anything this morning, sore nipples gone, no cramps or sickness Sad I probably should just step away from tests but am now debating getting a Clear BlueConfused

thefirsttimer · 24/06/2018 07:03

Super I know it's easier said than done but please don't panic! I've read that lots of things, even just having drunk a lot of water the day before, can effect how dark/light a line is. With the symptoms maybe just because we're still so early on they haven't properly established yet? I'd try to wait a few days to do another if you can, you don't want to be getting yourself more stressed by analysing it too much - again I know this is much easier said than done!

SuperSharpShooter82 · 24/06/2018 07:49

Thanks First. After shoving my DD in front of Teletubbies to do some serious line analysis I have decided that the second (middle) test actually looks yellow. Maybe because it was stronger urine?! Who knows?Hope I'm not clutching at straws but the line isn't lighter and is definitely there. Telling myself that right now, today, I am pregnant and trying to breathe.

Right, have good Sundays ladies! We've got family coming over for a bbq, not going to tell them anything and will say I'm not drinking as we were out last night! Even though really I drank loads of sparkling water all night Wink

Murphyrocks · 24/06/2018 08:03

@SuperSharpShooter82 the middle and bottom tests look about the same to me but that's because the test line is about the same as control I think? I heard you shouldn't test after that because the results can be unreliable - I stupidly tested about 7 weeks in with ds and freaked myself out because the line was barely there, my hcg was too high to give a proper result! Are you checking bbt too? That's maybe a good way to keep track as it should stay elevated through pg?

Glad test was reassuring @thefirsttimer, and yes I've been getting some nausea too, though I was going to throw up last night after tasting ds's birthday cake to check it was OK! He turns 2 today and we've got a bunch of people over for his party so hope I can keep it together enough for noone to guess, I usually have a very good appetite and love sweet stuff!

Thanks for all the well wishes re ds guys, feeling the love! He really has recovered so well, we're very lucky.

Shampooeeee · 24/06/2018 08:11

Welcome red and sorry for your loss. I had a similar MC first time around. Had a scan at 10 weeks that saw a wriggly jelly baby and heard a heartbeat. By my 13 week scan, it had died. My next pregnancy was very worrying and the usual stats don’t help me as I was in that 1%. Like wine I really relaxed once I felt movement and that happened early. The result of that pg is now a very giddy two year old who’s been clambering all over me since 6am!
Please try not to worry, Super that’s still a really strong line.
Murphy your DS sounds like a superstar for pulling through that. You must make strong babies.

RedRobin7 · 24/06/2018 08:46

Thank you all for your lovely reassuring messages! I've woken up feeling more positive today and will try to stay that way. Only symptoms at the moment are nausea and hunger, oh and little pulling sensations. If I remember correctly my sore boobs started around 5 weeks so maybe this week I'll start feeling more.

@SuperSharpShooter82 None of my FRERs looked as dark as any of yours. Im trying not to worry as I saw "pregnant" on a clear blue and my period didn't arrive so just hoping for the best. Yours are positively pregnant so try to stop worrying! 😊

@thefirsttimer Was the holiday comment for me? We went to Canada earlier this month and on both days I thought I ovulated we saw amazing rainbows at Niagara Falls so hoping it's a good omen. How many weeks and days are you now to have got 2-3 on CB? I have one left but want to get the timing right.

thefirsttimer · 24/06/2018 11:06

Super the middle test definitely does look yellow - I think that's probably what's making it look (only a tiny, tiny bit) darker. The last one is super dark though too so I don't think you should worry at all based on those! Enjoy your BBQ and get your best hungover face on ready Grin

Murphy a big happy birthday to your DS! Hope he has a lovely day and you make it through 🤞🏼.

Red glad to hear you're feeling more positive today, definitely the best attitude to have. Sorry I was supposed to tag Wine in the holiday comment, but the rainbows sound absolutely amazing! I too hope they're a good omen for you 🤞🏼. I'm 4+3 today according to LMP, but I have a feeling it will change as I ovulated quite early on (CD12), so going from that as date of conception puts me at 4+6 - with a EDD of 25th Feb!

Shall I move threads everyone Grin!

RedRobin7 · 24/06/2018 11:34

@thefirsttimer Thank you ☺️ I wasn't sure what thread to join either but I think most babies are late and it's better to be one of the earlier ones in the group than last to have all the scans!

Off to the pub now with friends. Thankfully I can use my sister as an excuse... oh I can't drink in case my sister goes into labour and needs me to look after my niece! Planning to use that excuse next weekend too so will need a new one if he arrives on time this week!!

thefirsttimer · 24/06/2018 12:19

I'm actually 4+2 today according to LMP - getting ahead of myself there Grin. So 4 days difference basing it off ovulation instead. Red I think you're right though, better this than be last to have scans and ultimately, give birth!

thefirsttimer · 24/06/2018 12:21

That is a great excuse Red wish I had a pregnant sister up my sleeve Grin. Have a good day!

Murphyrocks · 24/06/2018 19:52

Thanks @thefirsttimer he had a wonderful time! And don't worry about the dates, it'd only a few days and first babies are an average of 5 days late so that would out eta at 2nd March! I was the last to give birth in my NCT group and I was going out of my mind - definitely don't want to be in that boat!

Goatlady5812 · 24/06/2018 20:32

Hi everyone! Tentatively joining! Due March 3rd.... am 33 and have two boys already so this LO was a huge surprise!!! Been feeling massively sick week before last hence the testing! Did Clearblue this morning which very clearly said pregnant! No idea at all on dates really... am going to call doc tomorrow and see if they can help work this out! Huge congrats to you all x

Murphyrocks · 24/06/2018 20:53

Hi @Goatlady5812, welcome and congratulations! How funny I'm 33 with 2 boys too! This wasn't a surprise though, my eldest is only with us part time and is older (11) so wanted a full time, playmate-aged sibling for my youngest, who turned 2 today. I feel for you on the nausea - mine has already started back and was awful last time so fully expecting it again. Emotions already running riot too so taking that and the nausea as a good sign that my hormones are doing what they should! Good luck with the doctors!

Goatlady5812 · 24/06/2018 21:25

@murphyrocks that’s so funny as my eldest is also 11, followed by my nearly 5 year old!

Murphyrocks · 24/06/2018 21:36

Hahaha good stuff, so about evenly spaced with #3!

RedRobin7 · 25/06/2018 08:47

Morning ladies! Wishing you all a good week 😊

Just got to work, aircon has been broken for a while. It's 30 degrees in here already. I've made a complaint to health and safety but I can't tell them I'm sat here feeling awful because I'm pregnant! They might use their common sense to realise I'm complaining because I'm pregnant again but it's also not good enough conditions for everyone else up here. There's also a heavily pregnant lady here too. Argh! Wish there were laws on working in an office when it's above a certain temp!

SuperSharpShooter82 · 25/06/2018 10:22

Morning all! Hope everyone is OK today. The air con sounds hideos Red - its going to be a sorcher!

Welcome Goat!

I think first babies almost always are overdue First and due dates aren't set in stone. If all goes well with this pregnancy I will probably have the baby earlier than 1st March as I want to opt for a CS again. Without going into too much detail and scaring the first timers, DD birth was not a good experience and after three long and upsetting days I ended up with an EMCS. I have always said this time around I would push for an elective and as I understand they usually do that around 39 weeks.

Thanks for the messages yesterday, made me feel a lot better. I am still worried though as I don't really have any symptoms except for tingly nipples, which has subsided, and minor queasiness if I don't eat. I never had any sickness last time around though. I'm still feeling really anxious about it all. I told my sister this weekend and she is going to look after DD so me and DH can go and have an early scan in a couple of weeks. Just waiting for her to confirm a date and will then book it!

I am also debating on telling my parents, MIL and some friends who are coming to stay this weekend. Its not so much wanting to share and celebrate, more that I can't be arsed with trying to hide it while I obviously don't drink etc. and also that if something went wrong I would want these people to know and support me anyway. I am close to my parents and MIL and the thought of trying to hide an MC or any problems seems even more ridiculous to me than hiding being pregnant - we are all so close. What are you guys doing about telling people?

thefirsttimer · 25/06/2018 11:38

Thanks all for the reassurance on EDD, I think I'll just forget about it for now and wait and see what date the midwife gives me at my booking in appointment - which coincidentally, I booked this morning, eek!

Hi Goat congratulations and welcome!

Red that sounds absolutely awful, I feel hot for you just reading about it! Really hope they sort it out ASAP for you.

Super I'm with you on not wanting to have to hide it from parents etc. We told my DParents last week for the exact reason you said, if the worst were to happen then we'd be grateful to have their support. I think there's no right and wrong when it comes down to it, if you'd feel better telling them this weekend then why not Smile. Good idea on the early scan too, hopefully it can help put your mind at rest that little bit. We actually booked one too yesterday! Saw a Groupon for a place near to us that offers early reassurance scans so we decided why not. Booked in for when I'll be just under 8 weeks so just got to wait now!

Is anyone else thinking of having early scans?

Shampooeeee · 25/06/2018 11:48

Welcome Goat and congrats!

I don't really have any symptoms yet Super. I'm a bit paranoid about telling people because I still feel that I'm imagining it. We are visiting the in laws this weekend but will keep quiet as we are not super close. I will tell a couple of close friends when I next see them though, I don't like the idea of keeping it from them and they are the ones who would support me if it ended in MC.

I booked my first appointment today for when I'll be 8 weeks. I'm under a gynaecologist for all my care so I get a quick scan at every visit.

Goatlady5812 · 25/06/2018 13:03

Hi all,

How is everyone doing today? I’ve been booked for a scan tomorrow due to huge uncertainties about dates etc. Very nervous as pretty sure they won’t be able to see anything but guess it will be good to have a better idea of dates. Still feeling mightily sick and absolutely no appetite at all!!! X

SuperSharpShooter82 · 25/06/2018 13:38

First - how did you book your booking in app so quickly?! I have to go through my Dr for a refferal! Got the Drs app on Thursday though so hopefully won't be long after.

Goat that is exciting! How far along do you think you are? (Sorry if I have missed this in your past posts!)

Shampooee very jealous of your regular scans! That was one plus point about bleeding when I was pregnant with DD - every time I bled (which was at least monthly from 5 weeksShock) they gave me a scan.

I have just booked my early scan! Actually can't do the week when I will be 8 weeks, so it is booked for when I am exactly 7! So bloody nervous! Want this to work out so much, its petrifying thinking of everything that could go wrong Sad
