Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

@thefirsttimer isn't your booking in appointment your first appt with the Dr's? I've booked mine this morning with my GP i a couple of weeks. Didn't go to the hospital until the 13 week scan with ds? I have booked a scan for 8 weeks privately though as I drove myself mad before the 13 week one last time so hoping seeing a heartbeat and no major issues will settle me down a bit!

@SuperSharpShooter82 I've told 1 friend who I asked for a second opinion on my barely-there line from at 9dpo, noone else knows yet but will probably tell my parents when they come to stay next week as we're pretty close. Maybe a couple of other close friends too, but then can hopefully keep quiet until the 13 week scan!

Murphyrocks · 25/06/2018 13:51

Sorry got those tags the wrong way around I think!

thefirsttimer · 25/06/2018 13:55

Goat how exciting! Do you have any inkling at all?! Let us know how you get on won't you?

Super they don't do GP appointments around here, just refer you directly to the hospital itself who book the appointment for you. The actual booking in is done in the community as opposed to at the hospital though so it's in our local Children's centre. They gave me the first available appointment which is next Wednesday - I'll only be 5+5 so I'm a bit worried it's too early?! The midwife I spoke to didn't seem concerned though she just said it's the policy to just offer the next appointment they have, so that's that then!

I feel the same Super, booking the appointment and the early scan etc is exciting yet terrifying at the same time 😬. Just praying everything goes to plan for us all 🙏.

thefirsttimer · 25/06/2018 13:57

Murphy they were the right way around don't worry Grin

SuperSharpShooter82 · 25/06/2018 14:02

I thought the booking in was with the midwives/antenatal dept when they run through everything in detail, ask you about your history etc? Dr did nothing but refer me last time but couldn't get antenatal care without going to the Dr if you see what I mean!

Murphyrocks · 25/06/2018 14:25

All the antenatal appointments that don't have a scan are done with the midwife at the GP surgery here, including the booking in appointment, but don't know if it's done differently elsewhere. I'm in Leeds. Yes they do it as early as possible because there's no scan or anything, just taking all the history and doing lots of advice so the earlier the better! I mainly want to know if my pg is going to be deemed high risk because of ds's history as it'll limit a lot of my options. I agree - booking stuff is exciting and terrifying in equal measure!

thefirsttimer · 25/06/2018 14:54

Yes that's right it's with the midwife but just done at a Children's centre as opposed to the GP surgery or the hospital itself. No idea why that is but sounds as if it's not the norm then? I'm in the NW so not out in the sticks or anything Grin.

SuperSharpShooter82 · 25/06/2018 15:24

I'm in London and everything is done at local hospital/antenatal clinic. Your GP just referes you. Bit of a pain compared to what you're both doing, especially as my hospital is twenty minutes away! My GP is at the end of my road!

If you are high risk do you get more care/scans/appointments Murphy? Worrying but at the same time that could be a good thing?

Murphyrocks · 25/06/2018 15:41

You make a valid point @SuperSharpShooter82, could possibly get more in-depth care but also means no water or home birth, constant monitoring etc and was hoping to do this a bit more naturally this time round. But obviously if they think I need it I'm not going to argue it.

How bizarre they do it differently across the country! Didn't realise how much the care varies. Must be annoying having to go back and forth from the hospital so much.

Wineandchoccy · 25/06/2018 16:42

I’m in the north west as well and booking in appts are usually done between 8-10 weeks at a children’s centre

Murphyrocks · 25/06/2018 17:18

How funny that it varies so much!

God I feel like crap - exhausted, intermittently STARVING and nauseous, crying over everything. I sobbed over the England result yesterday and not even really into football! Anyone else?!

Goatlady5812 · 25/06/2018 17:49

I think probably around 4/5 weeks so I doubt they will see anything. Very exciting tho. I was so impressed with my GP and I didn’t realise our EPu is also self refer which was also very easy! So lovely to have people to talk too all in the same boats! X

RedRobin7 · 25/06/2018 17:55

@Murphyrocks Weirdly I seem to be the opposite and I don't really understand it. My mood got better about a week after I ovulated. I felt happier than normal and that's why I thought maybe I was pregnant as I'm normally a miserable cow lol! Not complaining though! I'm even tolerating my DH more! I didn't think it was a thing though 🤔

Murphyrocks · 25/06/2018 18:33

@RedRobin7 I'll have what she's having 😂 I'm usually pretty level headed but been so emotional & weepy. Currently brewing myself some ginger and lemon tea in hopes it'll settle my stomach enough to have some dinner 🤢

Hope all goes well @Goatlady5812!

BeautifulSlang · 25/06/2018 20:12

Mind if I join?

Had our BFP yesterday (DH birthday - what a present!) and will be our first :) We're so excited, and still can't quite believe it tbh. I must say, I did have an inkling something was going on, I had period like cramps all throughout the 2WW. I did a test on 10dpo which came back negative, so decided to wait til AF due before testing again and getting my hopes up. I did a test yesterday, 14dpo and it came back positive! Did another this morning too (well, the 4th in total) just to make sure. My app state's my due date is the 4th March.

Massive congratulations to you all too x

Wineandchoccy · 25/06/2018 20:19

beautifulslang welcome and congratulations

I thought I may be pregnant when I was feeling very angry and emotional then very chilled

Murphyrocks · 25/06/2018 20:24

Hi @beautifulslang, congratulations and welcome! You were strong waiting until af, I was taking tests every day from 7dpo! I had those 2ww cramps too so was convinced something was going on. Exciting stuff! I'm due 7th March.

BeautifulSlang · 25/06/2018 21:05

Thats just my general temperament @Wineandchoccy, hahaha!

@Murphyrocks Thankfully I've been very busy since last Wednesday so helped take my mind off it. I tested every day last cycle and it was always a disappointment so didn't really want to put myself through that again.

I don't know if it's all in my head, but all day yesterday and today I've felt quite nauseous and not quite 'right'. My boobs are so sore and feel heavy, even without a bra on, just chilling on the sofa. Anyone else having symptoms already? I'm 4 weeks +1, is it too early to feel nauseous? Also for the past week or so I've been waking up so hungry with a rumbling belly.

I read further a few people are going private for an 8 week scan? Can I ask how much you're paying? Thinking of looking in to that myself.

Murphyrocks · 25/06/2018 21:13

@BeautifulSlang yes I've already got alternating nausea and hunger as well as mood swings, and I'm not even 4 weeks yet! Taking it as a good thing that the hormones are building up as they should! Glad you've been keeping busy. I'm paying £89 for my scan - there was another place that was £50 but that seemed suspiciously cheap so decided it wasn't the kind of thing I wanted to skimp on! I found the wait for the 13 week scan really stressful the fire time around so hoping an earlier one will help but my mind at ease.

frankiefumbles · 25/06/2018 22:30

Hi all.

I'm moving over from the other March 2019 thread too! I'm 26, this will be first DC. Ovulated on 9th so early March. Maybe 2nd? Previously had a very very early MC, so slightly concerned about that occurring again but for the time being just trying to be positive about it all. Looking forward to getting over the hump at 9 weeks! Planning to go for the early scan and extra tests as hubby older (51). Very sore nipples. Massive bust expansion going on and nauseous all day each day for a week or so!

Murphyrocks · 26/06/2018 06:52

Hi @frankiefumbles, come over to the dark side 🤣 I think I on the 9th puts due date at 3rd March but they'll let you know at booking in. I've had a couple of chemical pregnancies too and dh also older but thankfully our age has more impact on this so fx all will be well. I've found an online recipe for ginger and lemon iced tea which helps with the nausea.

frankiefumbles · 26/06/2018 07:44

I'm not too worried about due date because I'm sure it won't come on time. But just relieved we don't have a leap year - it would be just my luck to give birth on Feb 29th 😂

RedRobin7 · 26/06/2018 08:49

@BeautifulSlang I had bad nausea before I got a positive test and then a few days after. Seems to have subsided a bit now which is worrying me. Only sign at the moment is massive nipples lol!

I've previously paid £95 for a scan. I've found a place closer to me for £69 which is called Window to the Womb and is in several places in the country. Reviews look good online so will give it a go. I've booked it in for 24th July which will be around 8+4.

Murphyrocks · 26/06/2018 09:21

@RedRobin7 yes I've booked Window to the Womb too, but mine was £89! Odd! Mines the day after yours, 25th July.

Nettymummy · 26/06/2018 09:23

Hello, can I join?
I've name changed as I'm definitely keeping this secret for as long as I can.
I knew something felt different this month.
I have two DC already - like quite a few posters here, but I just worked out it is my 6th positive pregnancy test over the years. I've had 2 MCs, and a very early chem pregnancy where I got AF two days after positive test.
So, I'm not planning the future just yet!
Also, my DH is apprehensive about a 3rd,so I haven't told him yet. Hoping to give it a few more days to be sure it sticks before telling him.
My cycles are anywhere between 24 to 28 days and tomorrow would be cd 29. Makes a due date around March 4 I think.
So very early days and not feeling very different except for a tingle in my uterus area, any one else get that? I remember it from before.
