Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

@frankiefumbles that's amazing!

Murphyrocks · 09/07/2018 07:42

Wow @frankiefumbles that's great for you! Last time around one of my best friends sent me her 1st scan photo on the day I'd got my bfp, so we got to go through it together and our kids are now 24 and 26 months, it's lovely to have that. I'm kinda wondering if anyone else in my NCT group is due a second, we've got someone due in October and another in December, hoping there might one or two more a little closer to me so we can do the newborn stuff together again!

I feel you @RachaelT and @ladycarlotta, I took note from nearly vomiting when waking up yesterday and brought up some cereal bars to put next to the bed; with that and a cup of tea kindly provided by dh before getting up I feel much better. Also the only natural remedy I know of that actually has some empirical evidence behind it is vitamin d6 so I've been taking a b complex vitamin as part of my vitamin regime. There are also prescription nausea medications that are perfectly safe to take when pg if you're really suffering. I've attached the page from Expecting Better about it (can't remember who recommended it but I've read 2/3 of it just over the weekend!)

Morning ladies!

That's so good to hear @frankiefumbles, to have someone close to you going through the same experience Smile also so reassuring that someone can be 12 weeks and have little of symptoms. I hit my 6th week today and all I can tell is that I feel really tired, that's it, which is making me paranoid, thinking that something is not right. I havent seen any spotting, just looking forward to seeing the me in two weeks time.

Any of you are the in same boat?

Mumtobe34 · 09/07/2018 07:47

Seeing the mw* (corrector Hmm) Wink

Murphyrocks · 09/07/2018 07:47

Also for anyone else still line obsessing I found this quite interesting. My hcg tests the last few days haven't been getting stronger - 2 even lines but test line not really taking any dye from control (bottom line). So this morning I tried an OPK in the fmu too, as you can see the test line took almost all the dye from control! So I then tried diluting the fmu 50/50 with water and actually got a stronger line (top line in pic) than it was undiluted, but it still doesn't really take anything from the control like the OPK does! Pretty convincing evidence that doubling is continuing I think, but I found it interesting so thought I'd share. Wonder why the hcg tests don't take dye from control line like the OPK does?

Murphyrocks · 09/07/2018 07:48

Sorry don't think it actually attached the pic I'm babbling on about there!

@ladycarlotta oh no that sucks, do you have to do anything today or can you stay in bed?

I've got another migraine and have also been sick this morning so going to stay off work which I feel really guilty about, as I haven't told them yet. If it carries on I'll have to tell them sooner than I wanted to so they can have a bit more understanding about why I'm ill. I didn't have nausea anything like this in my last pregnancy either so this has been really unexpected this early on.

I also have a new symptom - nosebleeds! I was walking my DS to school this morning, trying to concentrate on not puking, when we bumped into the headteacher on his way to school. He was chatting away to us, then I saw him look at my top. I looked down to and I had blood spattered on it, then realised it had come from my nose! The same side my migraine is on, so not sure if it was related to that but it gave me such a shock, and was pretty embarrassing when it happened mid conversation!

@frankiefumbles that's so nice you have a real life mum friend, how exciting!

KneesupGaston · 09/07/2018 08:48

Morning all, hope everyone is well. 5+4 today and tiredness seems to have kicked in yesterday. Have just made an appointment with the GP to get my referral to the midwife for booking in so it's all getting real now!

RedRobin7 · 09/07/2018 08:57

@mostimproved Sorry to hear you're suffering. I know that pain well. Don't feel guilty about calling in sick - it's time to put yourself first. I've previously told work at 11 weeks due to having 3 migraines / 3 sick days in 2 weeks.

I've called in sick today as I still have brown spotting so need to rest and didn't get much sleep last night. Going to a sit and wait clinic at my surgery this morning to get a referral for a scan at EPU! EPU closes at lunch time so that means another day of worry to get through.

Bluebelltulip · 09/07/2018 08:58

Here's my info

Age:28
DC: DD 18 months
Location: Leeds
EDD: 19th march

Been at PILs over the weekend, tried to hide it but feeling so sick MIL guessed but won't tell anyone else. Didn't get sickness until 8 weeks last time so I'm hoping I'm not worse this time but not got much hope as only just 4 weeks.

Not read thread in much detail but wishing everyone well.

Bluebelltulip · 09/07/2018 09:04

RedRobin7 hope your spotting stops soon.

Mostimproved also hope your migraines go too, I had them at ~16 weeks last time.

I'm also off today as nausea and dizziness are making me feel rather unstable.

mostimproved · 09/07/2018 09:04

@RedRobin7 hope you don't have to wait too long and you get a scan soon. Fingers crossed for you.

Welcome @Bluebelltulip and congratulations!

Murphyrocks · 09/07/2018 10:08

@Bluebelltulip hi - yey for another Leeds lady! Me and @hamandpease are also in Leeds, and @WildFlower2018 isn't too far away in York. My nausea kicked in a bit earlier this time too but I think that's because I know more about my cycle so I'm actually less far along than I would be by lmp - I think my EDD was too early last time which might account for the difference.

@RedRobin7 sorry to hear about the spotting, hope all is well and you get a scan soon for some peace of mind.

kellyhar · 09/07/2018 10:47

Hi, got my bfp last week.
I'm 5+4, due March 8th

frankiefumbles · 09/07/2018 11:07

@RedRobin7 can you afford to go private for the scan to save nerves?

@Bluebelltulip i get crazy dizzy standing up at the moment. Be interesting to see what my blood pressure is doing.

@Shampooeeee hold your breath...

You’re never believe this. I had a bit of a tizz last night because I didn’t really want to be in France on my own. So I decided I would amend the ferry and book it for today instead. So when I woke up this morning I was about to phone up the ferry company to change it and I discovered I’d lost my bag. That’s got all my cards in it. So I started looking for my bag and I couldn’t find it but I did find my husband’s card. I phoned up the ferry company and change the ferry but I didn’t realise how long it take me to look for my bag. I got in the van and set up the satnav and it turned out the journey would take three hours yesterday would take an extra half an hour today. I wasn’t sure if I would make it on time but I started gunning down the dual carriage way.

It was at this point that the roast chicken carcass from yesterday fell off the worktop onto the floor. This tipped me over the edge. Cue hysterics. By now I would’ve arrived 15 minutes before the ferry is due to sale rather than 45 minutes that they request. I phoned the ferry company and amended my booking again. Thankfully they waived the amendment fee. I then stopped to calm down and clear the chicken carcass ...which resulted in me opening the passenger door and finding my bag wedged between the seat of the door. So I’ve got my money and my card but I’m not gonna make that ferry and it’s another night solo in France for me. I’m calmed TF down and I’m going in hunt of sugar and carbs.

Hope you lot can get a laugh out of it now. I find it quite funny now I've calmed down (for those of you newer to the thread, Shamps had been dreaming about my trip back...!

frankiefumbles · 09/07/2018 11:09

Congrats @kellyhar

SuperSharpShooter82 · 09/07/2018 11:35

Bloody hell this thread moves so quickly! I don't have the time to keep up so apologies again for a selfish update where I don't reply to everyone.

To those who have had spotting, keep calm. I bled loads throughout my pregnancy with DD and the midwives always told me that I should only be concerned if I was soaking through pads and had cramps.

I have been experiencing waves of nausea. It comes and goes, some days I am fine and other days I am running to the toilet just in case. No actual throwing up, just feel burpy and increased salvia and sicky. I am also only wanting to eat carbs and cheese. I have packet of TUC biscuits in my desk which I am nibbling on to help with nausea (so much worse when I am hungry!) and I think my colleagues must think I am a greedy oaf who is hoarding biscuits and ramming down stodge. Everyone's munching on salads and I have a macaroni cheese!

Hope everyone is OK xxx

thefirsttimer · 09/07/2018 12:21

Wow I've missed loads of posts the last couple of days! Welcome and congrats to all the newbies!

I'm 6+3 today and really suffering now with the 'morning' sickness Envy. The last two days it's turned into full on being sick mode, whereas before it was more like travel sickness. I've taken to sleeping with a bucket next to the bed now - oh the glamour!

RedRobin7 · 09/07/2018 12:38

@frankiefumbles I've just been at the sit and wait clinic at my surgery and I was seen last. Not sure who decides the priority list but a bleeding pregnant woman is pretty serious!! EPU can't see me until Wednesday morning so it's going to be a long wait. The bleeding turned to red this morning so I'm expecting the worst ☹️

HidCat · 09/07/2018 12:41

@kellyhar congratulations and welcome!

@frankiefumbles you are having one epic journey! Glad you're feeling a bit more ok and found your bag.

Nausea seems to have converted to the other end today. Spent have the morning in the loo, hoping no-one else was nearby...

crazyhorseylady · 09/07/2018 12:44

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a few days but finally plucked up the courage to join. I'm 5+1 from LMP and this is my first. I have no symptoms at all really apart from being exhausted, but that may or may not be the heat and the lack of caffeine. I know I should be enjoying the lack of nausea but it's totally freaking me out, despite having very strong positives on 2 tests at 4+1!

@frankiefumbles I'm sending you good vibes, what a worry for you.

crazyhorseylady · 09/07/2018 12:46

Sorry that should have been @RedRobin7 I'm sending good vibes. I haven't got the hand of this posting thing yet and I don't know how to edit?!

RedRobin7 · 09/07/2018 12:47

@crazyhorseylady Thank you. Unfortunately there is no way to edit... worst app ever!

crazyhorseylady · 09/07/2018 12:49

@RedRobin7 you're kidding?! I have awful fat thumbs when typing so prepare for some bloopers....

thefirsttimer · 09/07/2018 12:53

@RedRobin7 does your EPU not have a drop in emergency room? What's the point in it being called an "emergency" unit if they can't see you until Wednesday?! Sending lots of positive thoughts to you Red 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
