Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

oh god, I'm feeling SO nauseous this morning. Like I might actually puke. I'm really hungy and I need to get going, but I'm terrified of going down to the hotel breakfast room and just upchucking. Help!

puravida31 · 08/07/2018 08:49

Ooo @ladycarlotta that sounds a bit grim, any chance of room service? Hope you can avoid a public vom!

Mumtobe34 · 08/07/2018 08:51

Hi ladies,
If you don't mind I'll join the group of mums due in March 2019 Smile I got BFP last Sunday after 2 months TTC. This is our first baby and we're soooooo excited!! Due 4th March, so currently 5w+6 and no other symptoms rather than missing period, bloating at evenings and feeling tired and sleepy. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday morning X

ladycarlotta · 08/07/2018 09:18

@puravida hadn't thought of room service! I made it down and managed some toast and marmite, and a bit of cold watermelon which was very nice. At home I'm constantly sipping on iced water and not being able to do it here is tough. Feeling slightly better now - just a 5-hour journey home to get through...

@Mumtobe34 welcome! And congratulations.

Murphyrocks · 08/07/2018 09:25

@ladycarlotta I'm exactly the same, still in bed doing my best not to throw up! Might need to get dh to bring me my morning tea and toast in bed, that might settle my stomach. Glad you made it down OK.

Welcome @Mumtobe34 and congratulations! Can we ask for your stats please?!

@frankiefumbles fingers crossed for you but I think that sounds absolutely fine 👍👍👍

I have a much less significant silly problem this morning if anyone has a clue..

My fingers have all swollen up and I can only just prise my rings off, do you think this is just the weather? Or will I need to take them off soon to avoid them getting cut off later on 😢

Murphyrocks · 08/07/2018 10:10

@hamandpease I had some fairly serious welling towards the end of my last pregnancy and did have to take off my wedding rings/send out a search party for my ankles(!) - seems very early for that kind of swelling but you're right it may be the heat. I'd suggest safe rather than sorry on the rings, it's meant to cool down significantly from tomorrow. Thankfully it went back down within a few days of giving birth too.

On my nausea dh and ds brought me tea and toast in bed and I feel much better now. Great excuse for breakfast in bed!

@hamandpease

I suffer from liquid retention
in hot weather, it can be that. Yesterday morning I went for an hour long walk and my fingers were swollen when I got home, but i went back to normal when I cooled down.

I find that cold showers and drinking plenty of water helps.

hamandpease · 08/07/2018 10:27

Thanks @Murphyrocks and @Mumtobe34

Only been married 7 months would rather not take them off yet 😂😂

pushit · 08/07/2018 10:32

Anyone else do this to their vits/folic?! I never remember if Ive taken one!!

WildFlower2018 · 08/07/2018 11:17

@pushit I had exactly the same idea but haven't physically done it yet!!!! Great minds eh? 😊😊😊

frankiefumbles · 08/07/2018 11:18

Sorry @Shampooeeee 😂 150 miles down. Don't worry, no rush on the ferry but you're right DH is riding his bike all day 😂 you can adapt your dream for our afternoon nap! 😉

Shampooeeee · 08/07/2018 11:31

Haha! In a weird addition to my dream, I had a text from my credit card company about suspicious activity this morning and when I called them it turned out that someone has cloned my card and booked a ferry with it at 8am! Watch out for your credit cards @frankiefumbles!

frankiefumbles · 08/07/2018 11:41

@Shampooeeee !!!!!!!?!!???

(It was me, nicked your car cards and DH!!)

RedRobin7 · 08/07/2018 11:57

@pushit That's a really good idea! I just count them at the beginning to work out what day I would finish the strip. Then when I'm not sure if I've taken it yet I count them again in my head. I think I need to use your idea!

Shampooeeee · 08/07/2018 12:03

Haha I’m quite sure I couldn’t give away my DH this morning! He is very hungover on his boys’ weekend.

RedRobin7 · 08/07/2018 13:50

I've just been to the loo and have brown on my liner ☹️ Pretty sure this is bad news as I have no symptoms at all. Trying not to panic as we're at my parents house and it's my dads birthday.

Murphyrocks · 08/07/2018 14:02

@RedRobin7 I'm so sorry to hear that - brown is fine though so hopefully it doesn't become anything else. Keep us informed. Thinking of you.

ladycarlotta · 08/07/2018 14:33

Chin up, @redrobin7, brown should be OK. Scary as it is right now, you've still got skin in this game. Contact Dr or midwives asap though, might be a good opportunity for a scan.
Crossing my fingers for you.

Murphyrocks · 08/07/2018 14:49

Agree with @ladycarlotta, if you have bleeding you could push for an early scan, I'd be contacting GP ASAP tomorrow if I were you.

Also on a more general note I'm sure everyone's aware but just in case please do check your freezers for frozen veg affected by this listeria outbreak; already 47 affected and 9 dead and pregnant women are more susceptible to listeria, plus the effects on foetus are profound. Stay safe!

puravida31 · 08/07/2018 14:59

@Redrobin7 as others have said brown is supposed to be ok, but I can imagine how scary it is to see it there. I hope you are ok and have supportive people around you xx

frankiefumbles · 08/07/2018 15:18

@RedRobin7 lots of sympathy from my side. I had a small amount of dilute Brown this morning. Keep an eye on it. Some bleeding is natural. Equally for me having a good bawl got it out of my system. You are doing the very best you can x

Velcro88 · 08/07/2018 15:37

@frankiefumbles and @RedRobin7 sorry for your scares today, as everyone else has said it's absolutely normal to have some spotting but I know my brain would go to the very same panic. Stay calm, you're doing everything right, and as @ladycarlotta says, perhaps you might be able to have an early scan to make sure! Keep us posted. X

Sarahandduckarehigh · 08/07/2018 15:49

Hi everyone - I seem to have stopped getting notifications.

Sorry to hear about a few scares. Fingers firmly crossed for a full set of super sticky beans for the March-ers. 🤗

Re sex during pregnancy, my DH is always worried about hurting the baby: last pregnancy we only had sex 3 times in 8 months. 🙈🙈 Will be trying to beat that record at least, but haven't did since we conceived this time...
