Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

@pushit mostly eating ice cream I imagine 😂

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 17:00

@frankiefumbles I'm sorry you're not able to do the ride but you've definitely made the right choice. Hope you find a way to cheer yourself up tomorrow xx

@pushit I haven't been to the gym in several weeks and I also feel like a lump! I'm overheating at work so I know it's not safe to then go to the gym. The aircon seems to be working now so maybe when it's cooler on Wednesday I might get an hour in then!

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 18:14

On a positive note, in the pregnancy+ app I've just found the option to show the size by food, animal or sweets 😂 fun times

The animal ones are quite concerning. A hamster at week 15? That's gotta tickle.

ladycarlotta · 07/07/2018 19:13

@frankiefumbles so sorry your holiday has been a washout cycling-wise, but I'm still a bit jel of the pain au chocolat and ice cream. Also, looking forward to having a hamster at 15 weeks!

@RedRobin7 I am intrigued by frozen avocado. I was always suspicious of them in the supermarket - what are they like? Do they freeze OK? I suppose it's a moot point now if they've been discontinued, but enquiring minds need to know.

ladycarlotta · 07/07/2018 19:19

@mostimproved I didn't know you could choose the theme on Ovia! This I need to check out.

@RachaelT lovely blog! Sadly I am no longer a notherner - am in Bristol for now - but I lived near Keighley until age 11, and the area still definitely feels like home to me in some indefinable way. I'm working on my nesh southern DP to move there, and I'm pretty sure I'll succeed one day... weirdly my big memory today was that I bought my sea monkeys in one of those little concessions at the Piece Hall in about 1998. Rather funny to return bearing another squiggly aquatic life-form. I'm sure the baby will be much less of a disappointment...

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 19:33

@ladycarlotta Well it was quite soft once defrosted but I was only using it in smoothies so it worked for me. Such a shame it's been discontinued though as it was handy! I always find standard shop avocados go bad too quickly!

ladycarlotta · 07/07/2018 19:34

@redrobin7 yeah, they are a pain. The perfect avocado is a holy grail I'll never stop chasing.

Welcome Anyday88

Wineandchoccy · 07/07/2018 20:01

We have been to a friends to watch the football and have a bbq everyone was drinking but I think I managed to avoid suspicion

HidCat · 07/07/2018 20:02

@frankiefumbles sweets sounds like a good one! Sorry you had to forgo the bike ride. I know I'd be devastated in your position.

RachaelT · 07/07/2018 20:12

Thanks @ladycarlotta - it a new little past time for me... wonder if I'll manage to keep it up when MiniT comes along 😂

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 21:14

trigger warning
Well ladies. I've just shat myself in hysterics. I believe is okay. I just want to share this in case anyone else has similar. I'm on constant knicker watch because I'm a naturally nervous person. Today (6weeks) I wiped and saw what I didn't want to. Now, I want to preface this with the fact that I believe this is totally normal. I found light pink discharge with a little speck of fresh blood/clot. Now, I'm almost certain this is due to this mornings "Netflix and chill" but that doesn't stop it from being a heart wrenching moment. Ive Googled extensively and I believe this is within the range of what's normal but I just wanted to say...if anyone gets this, I totally understand the fear it prompts. I've had no cramps or pain associated with it. I'll update you guys with how things go and I've got my fingers crossed all is okay - and I do think it is. I'm calm now. Either way, I'm comfortable in the fact that I've done my absolute best for this bean and couldn't have done any more for it.

Sorry if this is TMI but I just thought I'd share in case anyone else is in a similar position at some point.

Murphyrocks · 07/07/2018 21:29

@frankiefumbles I'm so sorry about the scare, I've been very fortunate to have no bleeding so far during either of my pg's and would absolutely freak despite knowing a small amount is normal, particularly in the first trimester and after dtd. Do keep us informed but sure all will be well.

ladycarlotta · 07/07/2018 21:30

Argh @frankiefumbles your poor nerves! that sounds needlessly stressful but yes probably normal. Have a TMI in exchange: we actually haven't dtd since finding out - I've been away a bit with work, and when I was cramping I was too uncomfortable, but I think we are both a bit anxious about knowing there's a baby in there, so neither of us are instigating. It's irrational and it's getting weird - two weeks is a while - so I think I just need to accept my bloatedness and get us back on track.

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 21:36

@frankiefumbles So sorry you've had a scare but it does sound fairly normal, especially if you've had sex. Are you driving home alone tomorrow? Can you wait for your DH? If you're feeling anxious it's probably nicer to be with him!

@ladycarlotta My DH thinks it's completely weird to have sex whilst I'm pregnant so it's off the agenda for the foreseeable! 🙄🙈

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 21:38

Don't worry. Sure it's fine. I've created a whole subplot of cramping which actually I don't have and I'm sure is my dinner settling! Thankfully as a result of the emotional faff I'm pretty tired and I'll sleep well! Yawn. Will update you 👌

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 21:43

@RedRobin7 DH has to be back on Mon for work so on Geneva-Gatwick. Meanwhile I will be driving the van back from the alps to Brittany. No further his from him available til Tues PM! He's super chilled which is great and thinks I'm over egging it.

I'm feeling a bit weird now that I didn't think at all about DTD being odd with a baby in there (potentially!) but it sure as hell sounds odd now 😂

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 21:43

Hugs!!

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 21:57

@frankiefumbles Wow! I couldn't drive a car in Europe let alone a van 🙈 I hope you have a good playlist ready?

Haha don't worry, some people think it's perfectly normal! I think I would if my husband was okay with it. Only before I got too big! No chance though.

peonylover22 · 07/07/2018 22:14

@frankiefumbles this happened to me when I was 6 weeks pregnant with DS. I believe it’s because the increased blood supply to the tissues around the cervix make it more irritable. Hope everything is okay for you xx

RachaelT · 07/07/2018 22:33

Oh no @frankiefumbles, really hope that everything is fine (and I'm sure it will be from what you've described).

Said about DTD to DH this morning and that it was okay if he wanted... he said won't the baby be scared of the truncheon flying towards it 🤣😂🤣😂 it was a good job I had an empty bladder at that point! (PS he was joking and knows that "his truncheon" wouldn't be near enough to our bean.)

pushit · 07/07/2018 23:17

@frankiefumbles sorry you found a wipe of what you didn't want to see. I'm also on knicker watch so can imagine the worry, but it's right to feel it's fine and normal. X

frankiefumbles · 08/07/2018 05:58

Hi all - just as the little update. Knicker watch this morning is all clear. I'll feel better when I get to the end of the day, but as I said...I kind of wanted to share that as an example of what (probably) is okay during pregnancy so that if it happens to anyone else maybe they can avoid quite the level of scare I had. I'm okay and fully topped up on sympathy now 👍 I like to think I'm quite a sane person but where the beans are involved tensions are high!

Shampooeeee · 08/07/2018 07:01

Sorry you had a scare frankiefumbles and I hope you get through the day with no more bleeding.
I had a crazy dream that we were in Germany and had to get back to England. DH suddenly decided he was going to ride his bike so I had to drive the whole way and then he told me it would take 9 hours instead of 6 so I had to rush for the ferry. Followed by lots of driving like a mentalist on the autobahn. I think you are infiltrating my dreams, Frankie! I hope your trip back home isn’t as stressful.

Wineandchoccy · 08/07/2018 07:59

frankiefumbles sorry you have had a scare hope that it is just a one off and no more
