Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

@ladycarlotta I also found the fruit and veg thing really lame but now I get so excited to see what it will be each week! I'm also using Ovia so have a blueberry, and you can also change it to different themes so there is a choc chip or a ladybird. DP thinks I've lost the plot and he prefers seeing a more realistic pic which you can get in the Emma's Diary app (NHS one).

I've been rushing around tidying and cleaning all morning as we have an open house for viewings for our flat today - hope someone puts in an offer as I'm knackered now! DP is working so I'm also having to bribe DS to keep his room tidy for more than 10 minutes with promises of ice cream.. because I also really want an ice cream myself!

pushit · 07/07/2018 11:00

I'm 7 weeks and a blueberry - although tbh I think I ovulated later as have long cycles so probably still a grain of rice. Rice to blueberry seems a huge leap!! I love looking at the 360 images on pregnancy plus app 😍

RachaelT · 07/07/2018 11:19

@ladycarlotta DH and I went to the piece hall for the first time since it was renovated last month and it was lovely.

If anyone's curious as to what we're on about I wrote a blog entry about it (walkinginheals.wordpress.com/2018/06/18/the-piece-hall-halifax/)

Nice to see there's a good Yorkshire representation here ☺️

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 11:25

Mine is 6 weeks today and it's now the size of a grain of rice.
Even if those blueberries are slightly small, they are a heck of a lot more voluptuous than my grain of rice. Maybe I haven't eat enough 😂

Murphyrocks · 07/07/2018 11:30

@pushit congratulations - you must be one of the furthest along on here! I'm 11 days behind you and due 6th/7th so perhaps they might change how 'far along' you are at booking in. Just to warn you as they can do that and I can imagine it would be a bit disheartening to go backwards!

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 11:55

@pushit Sorry I forgot to check my inbox this morning! Will add you to fb group shortly 😊

pushit · 07/07/2018 11:56

@Murphyrocks I think at booking in they do it from first day of last period, but I fully expect at the scan to go back a week or so. That's what happened last time. And why I joined March group not feb!

Velcro88 · 07/07/2018 12:01

@frankiefumbles I wonder if it's a bit of interpretation too- I'm 5+6 but that makes me in my 6th week, so I'm a grain of rice.... wonder if you're doing yourself out of a blueberry?!

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 12:03

@pushit Based on my LMP i'm due 28th Feb but wanted to join March as babies are often late!

My sister is currently 9 days overdue and really struggling in this heat!

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 12:20

@Velcro88

Real-time info this morning!

March 2019
Murphyrocks · 07/07/2018 12:21

@RedRobin7 I know how she feels, I was 12 days late during the heatwave in June 2016, it was utterly miserable she has my sympathy! Very glad to be doing that in Winter/Spring this time!

TheWanderlust · 07/07/2018 12:28

@pushit I'm also due 6th/7th ... although will see if this changes at scan.

Shampooeeee · 07/07/2018 12:31

Oh it must be a nightmare to be heavily pg in this heat! I hope she doesn’t get the postpartum sweats when baby arrives.

I went shopping this morning and bought 8 avocados as they were on offer. Maybe a little excessive but I’m trying to grow the avocado baby!

hamandpease · 07/07/2018 12:40

@frankiefumbles @Velcro88

I'm 6 weeks and 1 day and my app says it's a pea now (blueberry next week)

5 weeks was orange pip, 4 weeks was sesame seed!

Velcro88 · 07/07/2018 12:46

@frankiefumbles well there you go! Who knows eh... hurry up dating scan that's all I say! Can't wait to actually clap eyes on whatever sort of veg it might be by then!! 😍

mostimproved · 07/07/2018 12:48

@Murphyrocks I had my DS in a heatwave as well (June 2011) and remember old ladies still telling me to put a hat on him when it was 30 degrees!

@RedRobin7 hope your sisters baby comes soon and she doesn't have to stay in for long afterwards, as the postnatal wards can be boiling hot!

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 13:14

@hamandpease perhaps mine is a very well cooked girthy bit of risotto rice....

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 13:48

@Shampooeeee Soo I was sitting on a park bench replying about the avocado when I accidentally dropped my decaf iced latte all over myself and it even soaked through to my underwear 🙈 Oops! My DH thought it was hilarious and said I shouldn't spend so much time on MN 🙄

So cute about the avocado baby! I used to get frozen avocado halves from Tesco, it was so much easier but they've since stopped doing it!

@Murphyrocks @mostimproved My sister had her first baby during the snow in Jan 2015 and lived at the top of a hill lol so she's gone from one extreme to another! She's being induced on Tuesday if he doesn't come out before then.

Murphyrocks · 07/07/2018 13:56

@Shampooeeee I go through at least 8 avocadoes a week, my boys love them too and they're really healthy! Baby growth food!

@mostimproved yeah I had the same, ds was basically in nothing but a nappy for the first 3 months because it was so hot and I had so many people suggesting he should be wearing more clothes! Think the advice a generation or two ago was to keep babies much warmer.

@RedRobin7 yeah my dh says the same thing - he doesn't get it! That's definitely one extreme to the other for your sister!

Shampooeeee · 07/07/2018 14:13

@RedRobin7 oh no! At least having soggy coffee- soaked underwear will keep you cool!
I’m now imagining your sister in some sort of documentary about giving birth in extreme situations, narrated by Attenborough.
If anyone else lives up a steep hill, I recommend YakTrax for your shoes when it gets snowy and icy.
@Murphyrocks I did some research about ttc while bf and it seemed the trick was to eat lots of good fats to trick your body that it’s coping really well. My serious avocado habit started there and now I’m continuing.

Anyday88 · 07/07/2018 14:14

Hi All,

Can I join you please? I got my faint bfp on Wednesday which was also our 3rd wedding anniversary.
I have an Edd of 17th March! This is baby number 3 for us and we are being cautiously optimistic after a mc in April!

HidCat · 07/07/2018 14:51

I'm using the animals on Ovia this time around - currently on the 4 week waterbear. I have no idea what a waterbear is but it's tiny lol. Bought myself a teddy today to try to help my nerves. When I started thinking we were miscarrying last time I bought a teddy and held it whenever I was feeling down so thought I'd get one early this time. A cute little koala 🐨.

hamandpease · 07/07/2018 14:56

@frankiefumbles definitely Smile

I have nothing interesting to report except I have ( of course ) had a nap and my tits are on fire today

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 15:49

Hot as hell here. Had to finally admit my planned 100 mile hilly bike ride tomorrow isn't sensible. Sad times having driven 600 miles from the UK to be here! Turning tail tomorrow whilst everyone else out riding their bikes and starting the drive home solo. Totally pissed off. I get that there is more to my life than riding a bike and some people would kill to have a baby inside them right now, but today just seems like it sucks. This tiny thing has sucked the life out of me already and I've hardly got anything to show from it aside from a bit of a podgy tummy. I'd never forgive myself if I did the ride and mc-ed though so can't justify doing it. Gahhh!

pushit · 07/07/2018 16:30

@frankiefumbles I'm so sorry you didn't get to do your cycle ride and feel so down about it. Totally right decision but totally sucks too. I haven't done any working out in this heat as worried about sticky bean and feel like a right lump. Hope you can do something else tomorrow to make you feel a bit better.
