Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

Hi @Olivia2019 - glad to now I'm not the only insomniac... I should be considering housework as there's loads to do, however instead me and the hubby (he offered) have come down stairs where it's cooler and are watching crap TV in the hope the background noise will help me fall asleep again

Olivia2019 · 07/07/2018 05:06

Wish my hubby was home. He works away so its just me and tiny B. Now I am just lying in bed with a blocked noise thanks hay fever which is odd because none of my windows are open. All this sneezing is driving me nuts. I think I will look for a new series to watch on Netflix. Hopefully I'll fall asleep again

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 06:17

@RachaelT sounds like your other half is being very considerate! Extra fudge, morning tv snuggles! Mine would just roll over and snore if i told him I couldn't sleep. But actually I must be the only person in the world who thinks snoring is comforting. Perhaps it's because my boxer dog makes such a cacophony I've had to come to terms with it!

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 06:17

@Olivia2019 does your hubby know yet?

Shampooeeee · 07/07/2018 06:51

@frankiefumbles I’m the same! Ddog only ever does cute little baby snores but DH snores like a freight train. All of his friends are bemused by how I handle it (they will be fighting over who has to share a room with him this weekend) but it just doesn’t bother me. It’s a monotonous noise, if anything, it helps me sleep. It would only bother me if I was trying to watch tv or read but I’m always asleep before him so that doesn’t happen!

Olivia2019 · 07/07/2018 07:47

@frankiefumbles yes he knows. We found before he was due offshore. He is sooooo excited. I feel like I am a bit cautious at the moment because I don't want to get too excited and I keep telling him that we have to reach the magic 12 weeks before I believe it's real and really happening .His response is always the same "I know we will be fine" Bless him #positivity

Shampooeeee* I wish I could just fall asleep before the hubby. I can't go to sleep if there is the slightest noise. So sometimes I have to go to sleep first before he is allowed to join me haha. Now that I can't seem to stay awake past 7.30pm I'm hoping that his snoring won't keep me up anymore.

Olivia2019 · 07/07/2018 07:48

@Shampooeeee

frankiefumbles · 07/07/2018 07:57

@Olivia2019 it's your hubbys job to be positive 😊 wonderful you found out before he went. Equally it's legit to be cautious. I think you can start feeling a little easier after 8 weeks but you are right that 12 is the magic number in our house too 😊

RachaelT · 07/07/2018 08:04

@frankiefumbles he's always been a poor sleeper and all the time we've been together has sneaked into the lounge to watch videos (he loves gaming ones on you tube!) or TV with sound down when insomnia kicks in - he's always scared of disturbing me 😍

I made a nest of scatter cushions on the sofa (kinda like those body pillows) and that, with TV noise, did the trick - got a couple of hours extra sleep.

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 08:14

@RachaelT Your DH sounds so sweet bless him! Glad you managed to get a couple of hours in. My DH has just started wearing ear plugs because I make so much noise and potter about or sleep walk and sleep talk! We have a kiss goodnight and then in go the ear plugs and we roll over 😂 Soooo romantic 🙄

If and when baby arrives I might have to accidentally put those ear plugs in the bin 😂

RachaelT · 07/07/2018 08:32

Anyone else celebrating "one week since BFP" today? We did by having an extra kiss and cuddle and DH said that it's cute how giddy and excited I am!

Murphyrocks · 07/07/2018 08:33

@RedRobin7 when the baby comes you might find yourself getting some earplugs of your own when dh is on duty so you can get a bit more sleep! I was such a heavy sleeper until ds was born, could sleep through anything, still can with most things but if he so much as stirs in his sleep I'm wide awake so need the earplugs if I'm having a lie in!

Velcro88 · 07/07/2018 08:37

Wow, I slept so terribly last night! I'm so exhausted but I'm starting to find it so hard to actually catch any zeds. I thought that would be at least another 7 months in! Amazing what happens overnight with the window open... one set of neighbours appeared to temporarily lose their dog so we went from barking to shouting and back for about an hour. Sigh!

Re names, all your POVs make a lot of sense to me! - I'm same as many of you in that I couldn't imagine losing my name (why should I?), but I did want us all to have the same name/family identity. Good to know this might be tricky if I haven't actually sorted it out on my records yet. I haven't got used to it yet, it's quite long!

Velcro88 · 07/07/2018 08:40

@RachaelT that's so lovely!! 🤗 happy one week bfp! 🙌

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 08:49

@RachaelT I can't cope with how sweet your DH is! Happy one week 😊

@Murphyrocks I'm okay on that front, I'm deaf in one ear so just have to make sure I'm lying on my good ear 😂

RachaelT · 07/07/2018 08:54

@RedRobin7 I've neglected to tell you about the strop he had when I was dozing on the sofa instead of helping bring the bedding in off the line on Thursday evening - he ended up only making his half of the bed and then lying on it whilst I was trying to put my side together without gagging from bending over... he is far from sweet and perfect
😂🤣😂🤣

Murphyrocks · 07/07/2018 09:16

@RachaelT good to hear he's imperfect at any rate, makes the rest of us mere mortals feel better! 🤣 Still sounds generally lovely though. Cute about 1 week since bfp too, I'm 2 weeks yesterday!

@RedRobin7 fair enough, works well then! Unfortunately I have freakishly bat-like hearing, compensating for being half blind I think!

@Velcro88 I'm having the same problem, same last time too but then got better coming into the 2nd trimester and didn't come back until 30+ weeks, our sleep may not be totally doomed just yet! 6 hours sleep at the most last night and still managed to build a brio track across the entire living room floor using every track piece we own by 7am! Toddlers are a great distraction! Most symptoms I found got better between weeks 10 & 12 and I then felt pretty good until about 35 weeks, fingers very much crossed for the same!

puravida31 · 07/07/2018 09:17

@RachaelT that made me laugh out loud, sounds like something I would do! 😂

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 09:41

@RachaelT Haha! Sounds like my husband... if anything is left on our bed he slides it over to my side and then gets in and goes to sleep! Really annoying if I've been out and I come home to a dark room!!

@Murphyrocks That train track looks like fun!

ladycarlotta · 07/07/2018 10:06

@RachaelT haha! what a twonk! Good to hear he's not entirely perfect.

Ovia says baby is now the size of a BLUEBERRY (What To Expect says a pea), which sounds bloody massive. No wonder I'm tired, the little vampire. I always thought the weekly 'your baby is the size of x garden produce!!!' was a bit silly but now I feel all emotional and am welling up on the train thinking about that blueberry.

Murphyrocks · 07/07/2018 10:31

Does that mean you're 7 weeks @ladycarlotta? Blueberry is 7 weeks on the bump, pea is 6 weeks. I quite like the fruit and veg thing - my favourite avocado at 16 weeks :) Going anywhere nice on the train?!

Velcro88 · 07/07/2018 10:33

@Murphyrocks that looks great, kudos to you! [........hopefully imagines 2 years hence building similar in own front room........] 🤗

@ladycarlotta I know! I thought the sizing thing was a bit twee, but now I'm getting frustrated that different sources say my lentil is something different! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Congrats on reaching blueberry!

ladycarlotta · 07/07/2018 10:49

@murphyrocks no, 6 weeks, but Ovia specifies a Maine blueberry, so perhaps they are small? We were actually in Maine last summer and wanted to try the blueberries but just missed the season. If only I'd had some, I'd know.

I was on the train to Halifax, just a quick sneak from Bradford where I'm working this afternoon. The Piece Hall is gorgeous. Yorkshire is beautiful when the sun's shining. I grew up round here so just having a quick nostalgia trip.

Murphyrocks · 07/07/2018 10:52

Ah fair enough, yes maybe they're smaller blueberries as 6 weeks. Is only about a quarter of an inch I think, which is a pretty small blueberry!

Oh lovely, I've got a friend in Halifax. Yes I love Yorkshire generally but even more so in this weather!

Shampooeeee · 07/07/2018 10:59

I think they are small blueberries, like the wild ones you find in forests.
