Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

@goatlady5812 sorry you have such uncertainty. Your clearblue results look really positive though! I'll be crossing my fingers for your scan.

@RachaelT What a worry - though as others have said, cysts are pretty common. Hope you get some answers soon.

@wineandchoccy decaf coffee is actually pretty good. Decaf tea is vile.

RachaelT · 05/07/2018 21:05

Thanks @Sarahandduckarehigh - all I hope is that Lumpy and MiniT (our nickname for our bean) can live in harmony ☺️

I did find a breast lump previously and the doctors never worked out what it was but they had eliminated everything like cancer so I was told to just keep an eye on it... it disappeared as suddenly as it appeared but those biopsies were seriously painful

RedRobin7 · 05/07/2018 21:24

@RachaelT Sorry I must have missed your earlier post. Sorry to hear you've got this to worry about. A friend of mine had something similar and her cyst shrunk on its own and was nothing to worry about. Hopefully that'll be the case with yours.

@Wineandchoccy What brand of decaf have you tried? I was drinking the red box of decaf PG tips and they tasted fairly normal. Ordered a box in my food shop and that turned up in a blue box - not the same 🙈 Need the red box back in my life!!

RachaelT · 05/07/2018 21:26

Thanks @RedRobin7 - easy to miss something on this thread... it's super fast at times 😊

Wineandchoccy · 05/07/2018 22:01

RedRobin7 I got Typhoo because I was convinced that was what I liked last time but it tastes horrible. I like a strong brew but no matter how long you leave the teabag in it doesn’t seem to go any stronger

thefirsttimer · 06/07/2018 00:14

@Goatlady5812 just a quick one to say I'm so sorry you're having to go through all of this uncertainty, it must be so hard. Wishing you all the luck in the world for Monday, please do let us know how you get on xxx

@RachaelT I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that the cyst is nothing to worry about 🤞🏼.

thefirsttimer · 06/07/2018 00:16

@RedRobin7 I got a box of decaf Yorkshire teabags in the free Bounty pack from the midwife at my booking in appointment yesterday. Haven't tried them yet but will report back when I do!

RachaelT · 06/07/2018 07:15

Thanks @thefirsttimer

Thinking of decaf things - I hate tea so it's chocolate, cola and coffee I'm switching - gold/caffeine-free Coca-Cola tastes better than Diet Coke (I've even persuaded my hubby, who is a huge soda drinker, to switch) and I read yesterday that my favourite Nespresso coffees are only 80-90mg per drink so I can have 2 and I thought I'd only be able to have one - I'm still tempted to try the caffeine free versions of the capsules I like to get it right down.

Is everyone else cutting caffeine out entirely or limiting it to 200mg/daily?

Wineandchoccy · 06/07/2018 07:34

I have 1 cup of normal tea in the morning but that’s usually it. I only have Coca Cola with vodka in it so obviously that won’t be happening.
I’m also doing slimming world so chocolate is very limited as well.

peonylover22 · 06/07/2018 07:41

Yes I’ve cut my caffeine down. For me it’s just coffee really, I hate tea and never drink coke. I’ve cut my coffee down to 2 cups instant or 1 small filter coffee a day. I normally have 3 cups instant (2 at work) so have made a mix of half regular strength/ half decaf so I can have a couple of cups at work with a small kick to them.

frankiefumbles · 06/07/2018 07:50

Re caffeine haha @Wineandchoccy, how about vodka free vodka? ;)

I drink very little caffeine anyway but I do use it when I do my bike events. Assuming I were to over get rid of this exercise apathy then It's my understanding (having chatted with the hubby a bit) is that the caffeine is less of a problem if you have it gradually and when your body actually needs it. Interestingly I do believe my body has gone on "self protect" for these weeks to make sure I do a sum total of #### all.

I've still got no symptoms and I know realise how incredibly callous it was of me to say to the ladies with no symptoms "oh just enjoy it". Sorry guys!

frankiefumbles · 06/07/2018 07:54

On the plus side, now I don't feel sick or feel like riding my bike I'm just sat in the campsite eating pain au choc til they come out of my ears. I don't know what people do on holiday if they don't ride a bike 😬

mostimproved · 06/07/2018 08:05

I have tried to cut out caffeine completely except for the odd can of coke when I have a migraine, and chocolate occasionally. Caffeine isn't great for people with thyroid issues so thought I should give my thyroid a fighting chance and switch to lemon water in the morning. It was hard at first but I think I've got over the worst of it!

ladycarlotta · 06/07/2018 08:08

@RachaelT gold coke! What a blast from the past - I didn't know they still made it. I remember my mum glugging crates of it in the 90s.

Before getting PG I'd already cut down my caffeine massively, and was having one cup of tea in the morning and maybe on in the afternoon, or a coffee, so I haven't had to change anything, although it's really too hot to drink much tea and I've gone off iced coffee. The test will be when I have to turn round a tight deadline, which sometimes comes up in my work, and which I've always got through in the classic undergrad manner: powered by caffeine and jaffa cakes, up til 4am for a week. I'll have to reconsider some options there.

Shampooeeee · 06/07/2018 08:08

Mmm pain au chocolat. Good call!
I have switched to decaf tea and coffee but I do eat a lot of dark chocolate. I drink the occasional cup of normal tea, but now 90% of my cups of tea are decaf.
I really rate Seedlip for pretend cocktails. Going to treat myself to a bottle after my first scan.

HidCat · 06/07/2018 08:21

I'm cutting down on caffeine but I don't worry too much. I'm drinking tetley decaf tea and like @RachaelT said decaf Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi taste good these days so I'll get those when I can find them. Drinking more water anyway as I got dehydrated in my last pregnancy and conscious of iron levels as had to take additional supplements with DS.

RedRobin7 · 06/07/2018 08:52

I think I've been eating too many minstrels 🙈 My DH keeps buying them and then putting them in front of me in the evenings!

Murphyrocks · 06/07/2018 09:25

Ugh I feel so sick this morning, been awake for 3 hours and still can't face anything other than water and tea, and even those were a struggle. I remember this kicking in about 5 weeks last time and I'm 5+2 today - right on time! Any ideas/suggestions? Anyone else feeling rough too?! 🤢

I'm the same as @ladycarlotta on the caffeine, 1 cup of tea in the morning and leave myself open to a tea or coffee in the afternoon if I need a boost.

Sorry to hear about Lumpy @RachaelT, really hope there's nothing sinister for you or the mini T. I had the same nickname last time; this time I've gone with chicken which I thought was cute. Although not currently helping the queasies...

RedRobin7 · 06/07/2018 09:29

@Murphyrocks That sounds horrible, I hope it eases off as it's not great in this heat... but try to think of it as a positive sign! Are you at work today?

I'm desperate for a sign that things are progressing. 6+1 today according to my LMP and wouldn't know I was pregnant if it wasn't for the missing period and positive tests! It's so weird how we all react to pregnancy differently.

HidCat · 06/07/2018 09:32

@Murphyrocks I hope it doesn't last too long for you Hun.

Murphyrocks · 06/07/2018 09:35

@RedRobin7 yes that's what I'm trying to do, embrace it as a good sign that my hormones are doing what they're meant to. Thankfully I work from home so curled up on the couch in my slobs with my laptop feeling sorry for myself which isn't too bad, at least I don't have to pretend to anyone that I'm fine when I'm not! I can understand your frustration though; as miserable as the nausea is if I didn't feel anything I'd probably worry more! But yes we do all react differently to the hormones, some people just breeze through textbook pg with hardly any symptoms at all!

Murphyrocks · 06/07/2018 09:37

Thanks @HidCat, me too! Unfortunately the term 'morning sickness' was very misleading for me last time, I was nauseated anytime I wasn't asleep! But thankfully it didn't last too long then, eased off 10-12 weeks in, so fx on that again!

pushit · 06/07/2018 09:41

Hi everyone. I was on the other March group @frankiefumbles told us about this one - just thought I'd say hi! I'm due my second at the start of March x

RedRobin7 · 06/07/2018 09:42

@Murphyrocks That's very lucky you're working from home! Nothing worse than having to pretend you're okay when you're not. The one thing I'm dreading if I do get sickness at work is that my desk is the furthest away from the toilets!! The whole floor would know if I had to do a runner!

I'm working from home today too... and by that I mean I'm lying on the sofa watching Queer Eye on Netflix with my laptop next to me and desperately trying not to eat the minstrels my husband has left on the coffee table 🙈😂

Murphyrocks · 06/07/2018 09:45

@RedRobin7, haha, sounds like good work to me! Thankfully I didn't get physically sick last time, just felt nauseous all the time, not sure which is worse tbh but the latter is definitely easier to hide! Between that and feeling dizzy and light headed every time I get up (to the point where I'm leaning against a wall hoping not to pass out a dozen times a day) I'm feeling a bit pathetic tbh!
