Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

@ladycarlotta definitely not deluxe, not even back to normal just less crap 🤣 Childbirth definitely takes its toll!

@puravida31 this is the recipe: www.healingharvesthomestead.com/home/2016/11/27/diy-natural-decongestant-that-really-works. TRD a bit of a cumulative effect so won't just instantly decongestant like standard sprays, but I used it twice throughout the evening yesterday and could breathe overnight for the first time in over a week! Good luck!

@Emmafh3 I've been getting lots of dizzy spells/light-headedness the last day or two, had to stop what aim doing and lean against a wall for several seconds on more than a dozen occasions. Anyone else had this? Slightly scary...

@HidCat that's amazing re your DS! Hope all is well with midwife.

@RedRobin7 I think that's pretty normal but understand its frustrating when you're the one who needs support right now! Hopefully he'll get his head around it soon and all will be well. My dh was pretty worried last time about the birth because his first experience with dss was really traumatic, but when it came to it he stepped up and was really supportive.

frankiefumbles · 05/07/2018 12:55

@HidCat who needs a midwife when you've got a DC that can do it all for you!

Velcro88 · 05/07/2018 13:05

@Murphyrocks I'm getting occasional light headedness/dizziness too. Mentioned it to the doc this morning and she said it wasn't anything to worry about - it's likely a combination of the heat and the bean meaning your blood is being asked to do more - to feed bean and keep us cool. She said drinking plenty of water was key and should help with the dizziness.

mostimproved · 05/07/2018 14:00

@Murphyrocks I am getting a lot of dizziness/seeing stars as well. My blood pressure was low when I saw my GP on Monday, and I did a bit of pregnancy yoga at home this morning but had to stop as my vision kept going cloudy. I am prone to this anyway, and in my last pregnancy I was diagnosed with a slight heart arrhythmia which was exacerbated by the increased blood volume when pregnant. They told me there wasn't anything they could do, I just had to avoid situations where I could faint e.g. standing up on public transport. I didn't find any remedies I'm afraid, but knowing it was sort of 'normal' and wasn't harming the baby was reassuring so I at least didn't panic when it happened. Not looking forward to that happening again this time around!

@RedRobin7 I agree on the positivity, I'm trying to put all thoughts of miscarriage or any other problems out of my mind completely, otherwise I am just a ball of anxiety which can't be good for the baby. I think mn sometimes makes it seem like the chance of having a healthy baby is much slimmer than it really is when you read all the sad stories, but I don't want to worry about something I can't control. I was the same when TTC - I was convinced I wouldn't be able to conceive second time round and was even researching IVF, and then conceived on the second month trying!

Goatlady5812 · 05/07/2018 14:05

Hi all- just wanted to come on and post a quick update as feeling incredibly down in the dumps 😢
Had a scan at 4 weeks- they thought it was ectopic as a growth and excess fluid. Rather horrendous however my bloods were positive and kept increasing. Went back today at 5 weeks 4 days - I have very very little doubt over my dates..... Sac measures exactly 5 weeks 4 days. There was a sac but no yolk. I just don’t know what to think really. I’ve been devastated by the first appointment and still have little reassurance now. I have attached my report if anyone could be so kind as to offer any advice at all? Thanks so much 😢 everything I’ve read says you should see a yolk sac by now. Still feeling massively sick with very sore boobs and it’s just all been quite an sad experience so far.

KneesupGaston · 05/07/2018 14:06

Does this progression look ok? 4+1 on the left and 5 weeks on the right. I feel like my lines should be stronger Confused

March 2019
Murphyrocks · 05/07/2018 14:27

@Goatlady5812 I'm so sorry to hear you've been having a difficult time of it, and by the sounds of things it's all very uncertain for you. The report seems pretty vague too - have they said what next steps are? Doesn't sound ectopic at any rate as you'd be in horrendous pain by nearly 6 weeks, so I'd go with PUPO (pregnancy until proven otherwise) and hopefully they've arranged a follow up very soon? Personally I'd monitor hcg levels too with tests to see if you can see the levels increasing, but that might just make it even harder so that's a personal call.

@KneesupGaston yes that looks fine to me, hcg levels vary hugely from woman to woman so as long as they're doubling every 48-72 hours there's no reason for concern. Did you use fmu both times/did you drink a lot the night before? The strength of the line can vary widely with the concentration of urine.

RachaelT · 05/07/2018 14:59

Just spoken with my GP as my ultrasound results from Tuesday have come back....

As well as a probable early pregnancy (in the right place and everything) they've seen a lump on my right ovary so I'm going to need blood tests, more scans and referring to obs/gyn specialist as it sounds like a lot of the normal exploratory "lump tests" carry risks for the pregnancy...

Bit shell shocked....

HidCat · 05/07/2018 15:17

@Goatlady5812 oh hun I'm sorry things are looking so uncertain. I hope there's some good news at the follow up. Lots of hugs to you. xxx

@RachaelT hopefully it's nothing to worry about. A lot of people have cysts on their ovaries that don't cause problems.

Keeping everything crossed for both of you. xx

SuperSharpShooter82 · 05/07/2018 15:35

Glad there are others staying on MN for the time being!

@ kneesupGaston – I have said it before and I will say it again, DON’T TRUST THE CB WEEKS TESTS!!! They are shite designed to mess with our minds! In fact, step away from the tests altogether! I am not testing now, just waiting for my scan next week when I will be 7+2. Shitting myself about what it will show.

@HidCat – that is freaky!

@thewanderlust I have been sooooo bloated! But it seems to have subsided in the past two days. So now of course I am freaking out that something is wrong!

@Goatlady5812 I am so sorry you have had a crappy time. I have been wondering where you got to. Agree with @Murphy that they need to clarify next steps which will hopefully provide you with more answers. It must be horrible not knowing and waiting. I am so sorry you are having to go through this Flowers

@KneesupGaston I wouldn’t worry. Tests can only tell you if your are pregnant and won’t monitor the rise in HCG. Although they can and do darken, the line can be effected by so many factors. Just step away and remember that right now you are pregnant!

@RachaelT it must be really hard to not jump to conclusions and worry about the worst. Try and stay calm. The good news is whatever it is has been found and as above, it is more than likely a cyst and nothing to worry about!

Goatlady5812 · 05/07/2018 16:52

Thanks so much everyone- I’ve just attached a pic of my Clearblue. First one done 2 weeks ago. Second one done Sunday morning and last one done just now...: so glad you girls are on here! I’ve booked a private scan for
Monday when I’ll be 6 plus 1 as quite frankly I’m not waiting 2 more weeks like this. I think the peace of mind at the moment is priceless xxx

TheWanderlust · 05/07/2018 17:47

@SuperSharpShooter82 I'm really hoping my bloat goes down for a while. It's so limiting in the wardrobe department.

Anyone get a wish washy feeling in their stomach between tight pulls either side? I can't keep up with all these symptom changes.

SuperSharpShooter82 · 05/07/2018 18:30

Just got home and have my letter from the antenatal clinic following my Drs appointment/referral last week. My booking in appointment is next Wednesday! ShockI will be 6+5 which seems super early! Then scan next Sunday! All go next week!

ladycarlotta · 05/07/2018 18:37

@goatlady oh, that's nerve racking. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this. Did they give you any more info with the report, or was it just that whole lot of nothing? Cos what I'm seeing is that you have an ovarian cyst, which isn't ideal, and that your pregnancy is maaaaayyyybe just too early to properly detect? There's nothing definitive there. I really really hope it works out your way. And I also hope they were kind to you - I had the worst time at the EPU while I was miscarrying my previous pg; they were so impatient and unpleasant. So fingers crossed that is not a usual experience.

puravida31 · 05/07/2018 19:17

@goatlady5812 I’m sorry you’ve been having such a difficult few weeks, everything crossed for Monday which I hope gives you some clarity & peace of mind xx

Shampooeeee · 05/07/2018 19:51

So sorry to hear that Goatlady I hope you get some definitive answers soon.

RachaelT did they tell you how big the lump was? I had a 5 cm cyst once that needed treating but once it got down to 2.5 they just left it to shrink naturally. Fingers crossed for a small cyst and not anything scary.

It feels like such a long wait until my scan (almost 4 weeks). This morning my ds didn’t finish his smoothie and I tried to drink the last bit and felt very nauseous. I’m taking that as a good sign. I’ve also been ridiculously tired but it’s hard to know if that is pg or a combination of being busy and the heat. DS has been very challenging the last couple of weeks, refusing naps then being stroppy and bedtime takes forever. Today he actually napped well and then I fell asleep on the sofa and almost missed an important meeting!

SuperSharpShooter82 · 05/07/2018 20:32

Ugh @Shampooeeee I feel you on hot stroppy children! DD has been taking an age to go to sleep the past week or so. One of us has to stay with her or she screams the street down and just gets hysterical. But she is just not sleeping! Driving me mad!

RedRobin7 · 05/07/2018 20:34

@Goatlady5812 So sorry you are in this situation, it's so hard not knowing what's going on. I hope you get some answers on Monday. Will be thinking of you. Please let us know how you get on xx

RachaelT · 05/07/2018 20:39

Thanks for trying to allay my fears @HidCat and @SuperSharpShooter82

I've not been told anything other than they saw a lump on the scan @Shampooeeee I suppose I'll have to wait to see the specialist to find out more.

Wineandchoccy · 05/07/2018 20:42

Goatlady5812 Sorry you have this worry I hope you have good news soon

Goatlady5812 · 05/07/2018 20:44

I will do thank you all so much x

Wineandchoccy · 05/07/2018 20:44

RachaelT I hope you are ok good they have found it now but I know you must be very worried

Wineandchoccy · 05/07/2018 20:47

Decaff tea is yuk. Anybodies concentration levels rubbish at the minute? I reversed into a bush today Grin luckily no damage what’s worrying I have parking sensors that were beeping madly.

RachaelT · 05/07/2018 20:54

I found out whilst at work @Wineandchoccy and have just got home to tell hubby, feel better now he's up to speed and given me hugs and kisses... apparently his sister has had ovarian cysts before.

Blood test tomorrow morning on my way to work, apparently there's some things Lumpy could be that this will indicate.
