Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

@thefirsttimer I was on 50mcg and have increased to 75. I was due a blood test anyway so had that as soon as I found out, and then have my first midwife appointment on the 23rd so they should do bloods again then. Have you got a midwife appt yet?

thefirsttimer · 02/07/2018 19:22

most I have it's this Wednesday actually! Do you think the midwife will check TSH levels then when they do the booking in bloods? That will be good if so! I think I'm going to have to join you in trying not to stress over the uncontrollable - but you're right it's definitely easier said than done!

mostimproved · 02/07/2018 20:14

@thefirsttimer that's good you get to go so soon! Yes I think if you tell them you're hypothyroid they should check TSH. They take about 5 tubes of blood so should have plenty available to test!

thefirsttimer · 02/07/2018 20:23

most ooh five tubes of blood in this heat, I'm not looking forward to that! Thanks though for the head's up, I'll definitely let her know I haven't had it checked for a while. Yes definitely good that it's so soon, it already feels like we've known for so long!

MistakenHoliday · 02/07/2018 20:28

Evening all! How are we all doing tonight? I was HUNGRY today - ended up eating my lunch at 11am!

Simplyenchanted · 02/07/2018 20:28

Ooh can I join in!!? Myself and the bf are the only ones who know cos I’m scared to jinx it. That and I can’t believe it after obsessively testing since Jan this year. I’m hoping MN will be my support group ☺️

Age: 32
1st time
Location: Bournemouth
ETC?! : due date approx 13th March (a bit later than some ladies on here)

Wineandchoccy · 02/07/2018 20:35

Welcome and don’t worry I’m sure we will have a full month very soon

Wineandchoccy · 02/07/2018 20:36

I booked my booking in appointment today it’s in 3 weeks so I will be 8 weeks

Simplyenchanted · 02/07/2018 20:53

Thanks @wineandchoccy and congratulations 😄Yes I am hoping to get myself to the doctors this week. It’s mad at school at the minute so il try and get out at a decent time!

Velcro88 · 02/07/2018 21:26

Hi all! Just wanted to wave hello and introduce myself as moving over from the other board. Congrats all on your BFPs! Caught up on the thread and so excited to share our journeys together! Looks like lots of you are having similar symptoms - I've just got three main things at the mo - I'm seriously fatigued (have never been a napper until now!!), having occasional light-headedness, and v sore boobs! I've not hit the nausea yet, hope you guys aren't suffering too much for it!

My running has really taken a hit - I think a combo of Lentil (getting bigger!) and the sun. Anyone else struggling to keep up the exercise? I'm so worried about 'overdoing it', but not sure what that means in terms of upsetting things down there?!

I'm a nervous but excited 30 yo, with EDD 3rd March (first DC!), from SW. Anyone else from Bristol/Bath area on here?

P.s. @ladycarlotta thanks for the book tip, I've ordered Expecting Better today - it looks no nonsense which exactly up my street. Will enjoy devouring that tomorrow eve!

Emmafh3 · 02/07/2018 21:56

@velcro88 my exercise and running has also taken a huge hit. Starting to get confident again about not mc though so doing more and more but listening to my body!
With my dd I went hardcore until fatigue hit and then barely had the energy to hoover. Thankfully that took only a few weeks and I was back at it full force until I physically couldn't and my run speed was no quicker than a brisk walk!
So fingers crossed you get your run on again soon. Best to push up to where you feel comfortable and never past.
A lot of the other ladies here I know do swimming which might be great for you in this heat?

RedRobin7 · 02/07/2018 22:27

Welcome to all the new people!

@Velcro88 I haven't managed any exercise in a couple of weeks due to this heat. My office is 29 degrees due as the aircon is broken so I don't want to overheat my body. Really annoyed I'm not getting any exercise at the moment but I don't want to make myself ill. Was hoping to pick it up again soon but doesn't look like this weather is going to change. Hopefully our aircon will be fixed soon so I won't leave work feeling so drained!

I think the general rule is keep doing what you've done before and your body will let you know if you need to stop!

Murphyrocks · 02/07/2018 22:37

Welcome and congratulations to @Velcro88 (stats?! Age/location/current children/due date?) and @Simplyenchanted! Lovely to have some more March-ers!

Told my parents today with the cute t-shirt on DS that's he's being promoted to big brother and their reaction was pretty muted tbh - they seemed a bit confused as to why we were telling them so early. I guess they did know we were trying and it's never as exciting the second time around, but expected a bit more reaction. Oh well. I'm still excited!

Wineandchoccy · 02/07/2018 22:40

Murphyrocks Sorry you didn't get a more positive reaction

firsttimenerves · 02/07/2018 22:50

@murphyrocks that's a shame, we are all excited for you. I bet DS looked super cute in his big brother t-shirt. Maybe your parents need some processing time!

@Velcro88 hello! I am finding the exercise difficult too. I've only managed one gym sesh and a gentle yoga in the last week, and I'm used to doing something every day. I may try swimming as @Emmafh3 suggests, but the tiredness is still hitting hard!

@frankiefumbles how are you doing? Did you manage to get out on your bike?

frankiefumbles · 02/07/2018 23:32

Eek! A lot to catch up on.

Welcome @Simplyenchanted

@Murphyrocks that seems a bit odd. I guess perhaps they just were caught off guard and maybe just expected it to be further on and don't want to seem to excited because it's such early days? I don't know. Maybe they feel being reserved is the "right" response

@thefirsttimer re my exercise it's gone awfully. The 112km bike ride yesterday I just couldn't get up in time for (it was a 6.15 start to get to the event start on time which is 5.15 UK time!!). It was a wise move in the end because temperatures peaked at 37deg (Im only in France nothing fancy!!). As I said before, I only managed the 5 miles and did nothing all day and only ate in the evening.

Today I woke up badly with nausea but by about 9am it went and I haven't had it since. (Yippee!!) I'd planned to go for a swim. We did 1km and got out for a snack. I didn't fancy a snack but I sure as hell fancied a nap. DH went back in to swim further and I went to the car and fell asleep for an hour on the back seat!!!!! I'm not sure that's what @Emmafh3 meant when she mentioned swimming!!

So much for exercise 😂 I think this is all part of listening to the body though. Yesterday and today were not my day because my body is waaaaay to busy growing my little poppyseed (now an apple seed and soon to be a petit pois!)

thefirsttimer · 03/07/2018 00:29

firsttimenerves I think one of us will have to name change, frankie keeps getting us mixed up in tags Grin

Murphy I'm sorry your parents' reaction wasn't as you were hoping! Hopefully they will realise and it will be much better the next time you see them 🤞🏼.

Welcome and congrats to Velcro and Simply Smile

Simplyenchanted · 03/07/2018 06:59

@murphyrocks I’m excited for you 😄
I’m so glad I jumped in on here now.

My period was officially due yesterday and I was having that low constant throbbing pain all night last night. I cried just second guessing myself. Poor DP was just very confused and came upstairs with BBC Pride and Prejudice, ‘will this help?’ That cheered me up no end?!

I’m napping as soon as I get home at the minute but it’s amazing to me since ive started the journey of potential mummy, a kid being a pain in the arse in your lesson....meh.....😂😂😂

Murphyrocks · 03/07/2018 07:07

@Simplyenchanted your dh sounds lovely! Thanks everyone for the support, I think @frankiefumbles is right that 'in their day' you kept quiet for months so they don't want to get over-excited in case it doesn't work out. This will be their last grandchild so seems to make sense to make the most of it!

Napping sounds great, had such a bad night last night, can't breathe with the stupid cold, I miss decongestants so much! 😭

ladycarlotta · 03/07/2018 07:12

@simplyenchanted your dp is sweet! It's true that the BBC pride & prejudice makes most things better.

@velcro88 I'm in Bristol! Didn't realise you were over this way!

mostimproved · 03/07/2018 08:19

@Simplyenchanted BBC pride and prejudice is mine and DP's ultimate hangover/ill comfort watching - we even quote it regularly Blushyour DH has good taste!

frankiefumbles · 03/07/2018 08:33

@thefirsttimer @firsttimenerves I'm sorry...I keep checking back to make sure and I still mess it up. And there is no edit button? My life needs an edit button...

Oh the shame!

frankiefumbles · 03/07/2018 08:35

I feel I also ought to share last nights more positive dream. An incredibly realistic naughty dream (thankfully featuring my DH!). 😂 I've never ever had a dream like that before but it was a definite improvement on the last dream!

RachaelT · 03/07/2018 10:24

Thanks @frankiefumbles for pointing me in the direction of this thread from the other Due March 19 thread. I'll be following with interest as I'm due 1st March.

Bit scary as I'm a FTM at 37 (38 when baby comes along) although my mum was 38-39 when she had me (only child) with no complications other than c-section due to age (was this an 80s thing as I'd prefer natural?).

Hermagsjesty · 03/07/2018 10:43

Hi all, can I hop on?! I got my BFP yesterday. I had a chemical pregnancy last month so waited until I was fairly certain before testing and still did about 3 tests because I couldn’t believe it! Including one of those clear blue tests with week indicators which said 3wks+ so I guess I’m due early March... This is DC3 - I have a DD who is currently 6 and a DD who is currently 4, so they will be 7 and 5 when the new arrival gets here, hopefully that will be a nice age gap with them both at school and me able to focus on snuggling the little one!! I’m also hypothyroid - currently on 125mcg daily. Seeing the doctor tomorrow. We’re trying to keep it to ourselves for now as we don’t want the kids getting wind of it too soon - 9months is a long time to wait!
